The picture petting is a reference to a meme that sprung from the 90s animated X-men series of Wolverine lying on his bed reminiscing, and he does the same picture frame petting, with a picture of Jean Gray and then getting jealous because cyclops is also in the picture. In the meme, people put different things in the picture frame, so they made a reference to that by adding the picture of Lloyd as Gandalf from the Gandalf vs Dumbledore battle.

It was a good movie with great music. But I think people's issues with it is one of the following 3 things: 1. It's not historically accurate and there are timeline issues. 2. The songs were overplayed as soon as it was released. 3. Those who were in a music class in high school had to sing songs from it. My ex was in choir and they had to sing so many songs from it

In ERB's Freddy/Wolverine BTS, Epic Lloyd was pretty adamant about making Wolverine's height true to the comics. He didn't like how Jackman, an actor over 6ft, was cast as Wolverine in the movies.
What I really like is how you acknowledged the dream sequences. Almost every reactor I've seen don't really seem to notice or talk about them. A few kind of do but most don't. Those were some of my favorite visuals in ERB and were very creative.

Oh, also! So the joke with the photo frame is that there’s a scene in X- men the animated series where wolverine is stroking a photo of (either Jean grey or someone) and it became a meme, and everyone filled it in with other images, so they put in one of Gandalf.
Which is great, because when you think of Saruman, who was opposite of him in LOTR? Gandalf, played by Sir Ian McKellen; who, of course, also plays Magneto.

The "that verse stung, bub, but I've already recovered" is both a diss AND a flex bar. Wolverine is saying that Freddy didn't do much damage, and that what damage he did do has already been healed by Wolverine's healing factor.

The "Welcome to Prime Time Bitch!" line has NOTHING to do with Freddy himself whatsoever. It's a direct quote from "The Dream Warriors" where Freddy comes out of a TV, picks up a young aspiring actress and slams her head first INTO the TV to kill her. It has nothing to do with him being "prime time" or ANYTHING to THAT effect.

Freddy was burned due to him getting off on a technicality and the parenta of Elm Street took justice in their own hands and burned him in his boiler room. Though they should've expected it when they kept mocking him. The reason for the murders was for revenge. Freddy was made fun of by his former classmates because his mother was raped by lots of inmates in an insane asylum. Earning him the nickname "The Son Of 100 Maniacs".

Honestly one thing I enjoyed from first watching this was just the overall darker, harsher beat. It’s definitely one of the more unique ERB in my opinion. Also, I checked out freshly kanal after you mentioned it, and it was a welcomed surprise to watch the robocop/Paul blart rap.
