The formula is the same as in the Science of Getting Rich - you need to "more than fill your current place" so that you can grow to a new level. As long as your not more than filling your current place, you will remain in it. All evolution takes place by outgrowing your current resources. Doing more with less is learning to more than fill your current place, outgrowing your current resources, so that more resources are actually required and now your effort relative to your capacity has shrunk. You're not doing less actually, but it feels like that because your capacity has grown.
