      I live in Australia and he was a huge favourite of the people there, always conducted himself in true sportsmanship style. The pubs and clubs were packed back in those days as there wasn't any cable tv then in this country or was very expensive but on Kostyas fights it was standing room only. He also took on well ranked fighters and won some really tough fights. Judah embarrassed himself as well as the guy in the ring doing the interviews.

    Seeing this interview with Judah for the first time - now I can see how he wasted his potential over his career. Once he was winning fights and a big name he thought he didn't have to train any more either - same mindset that derailed Mike once Cus d'Amato wasn't around any more. I also suspect Zab didn't invest his money wisely - he was still trying to make a comeback in 2019, and ended up with a brain bleed.
    Hard to see someone talented so let down by no sense, bad attitude and no impulse control.

    Loved this knock out of Judah, they all said Kosta would be to slow for Judah, and Judah to slick, well we all seen what happened with one smack.

    In his prime Tszyu had an amazing ability to learn a fighter's throwing motion. KZ's power punches were themselves incredibly quick and ZJ a braggart admitted he was badly hurt by the shot. No possible way he would have recovered between rounds.

      Tszyu's..people tried for a rematch and a bout with mayweathet..but both said their was a schedule conflick..in his prime Tszyu was a scary opponent he was not just a powerful puncher but studied his opponents in the first round and went to destroy mode in the second..Zab was not prepared for his power..how he got up was because of reflexes he was clearly gone..if it had gone to the 3rd round the crowd would have witnessed brain damage..ksztu was a finisher in the true sense.

    He THOUGHT he did!
    But he was so scrambled.
    Plus the SHAME of being FLATTENED like that in front of Iron Mike & his WHOLE Crew?!?
    That caused him to get on bad to Ref Nady, who was absolutely CORRECT to stop that!

    Kostya vs Floyd around this time would have been great....Kostya had great power, brains and timing...he was dodged by more fighters than most. Anyone who sparred with him said his strength was freaky..

    • @stevenreed5514
      @stevenreed5514 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep Kostya was always considered a far too dangerous opponent for the other great boxers of his era. Whether he would have beaten them we will never know because they never wanted to risk fighting him.

    • @bluepvp900
      @bluepvp900 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was bad enough, watching him chase Judah down for 2 rounds. I definitely wouldn't want to watch him chase Floyd for up to 12.

      Jordan Walls Styles Male fights, pal. And Kostya’s style was as patient as a praying mantis waiting for its prey. Look how he stalked Judah, patiently biding his time for the inevitable opening; such is Tszyu’s power, too, he generally only needed the one shot. Floyd would have had to fight the perfect defensive fight, or else outrun him, because Tszyu’s high guard pressing style seems to have been ideally suited to deny Mayweather the time and space his own style needed in order to be effective.
