Still a massive missed opportunity they never did a follow up on all of that. There were so many fan pitches for a game crossing those characters over and stuffafter AC3.
@@cathylickpriest7775 Idk if it was called AC Revenge or AC Vengeance but I remember that fan pitch it was awesome where you'd have a crossover story with Arno, Connor and an older Shay. That would have been crazy!
Love the Assassin's Creed videos. Don't get why they don't do better on here because you guys know your stuff about them. I feel like you know more about the series than some of the people who only cover it LOL.
Really appreciate that! Tbh I've had a few bad run ins with 1 or 2 AC channels before who are very mean behind the scenes so I just kinda stick in my bubble and make my own videos on it and don't pay attention to the general content creators community around the subject anymore.
There were some cool references in Valhalla: -In an attempt to assassinate Kjotve the Cruel, Hytham jumps up in the air with his hidden blade drawn in the same way Altair does in the trailer for AC 1. -Having the targets Eivor assassinates in Lunden, Jorvik, and Wincestre be call backs to the 9 targets Altair assassinates. -The assassin bureaus in Valhalla give more insight into Bayek and Amunet building the hidden ones and how they were remembered by the hidden ones. -In the modern day in Valhalla you can find files of Desmond talking about his visions and voicing his thoughts about the Assassins and his involvement with them to Shaun and Rebecca. Also Shaun talking about Desmond in Syndicate's modern day was touching.
That bit in Tyranny was definitely intentional foreshadowing, and Black Flag ends with a glimpse of Haytham taken directly from his novel- so that connection was definitely there. Moreso than Rogue anyway.
My favorite connection or one of them is the Faulkner conversation you mentioned here. When I played AC 3 the first time I didn't notice it because 4 wasn't out but then on replaying it was like a huge WHOAH moment for me to see how they had already set up Edward's story and role in the universe.
Yeah, a big part of this issue is Ubisoft not wanting to take a break again . They had fumble after fumble lately and instead of reevaluating they just went all in on AC.
1:24 my great uncle got me into assassin's Creed by letting me and my brother play AC2 in 2012. It got me into games, and it's still my favorite game of all time.
I think ubisoft needs to take a break from assassins creed and make some new ip like make a superhero game like the punisher moon knight thor from marvel or green arrow from dc
@@eliteghost1001 Idk if you'd want Ubi handling good characters like that though after how lazy they got with the Star Wars outlaws game. I would worry they'd just not try and then we wouldn't get more games out of whatever superhero character they made.
My favorite connection is the ties between AC3, Black Flag, Rogue, and Unity. Rogue served as the final dot connecting those games. You got the Seven Years War going on in the background and we start seeing setup for the American Revolution. We have Shay being mentored by both Achilles and Haytham respectively as an Assassin and later Templar. We also have Adewale who's an old man now and that connects Rogue to Black Flag and the Freedom Cry dlc. Finally Shay killing Charles at the end, tying it to Arno's story in Unity.
There are also cool connections Assassin's Creed makes to other franchises that I absolutely love: 1) Origin's The Hidden Ones DLC: Final boss tells Bayek he has the high ground like Obi Wan tells Anakin in Star Wars 2) Valhalla: In a house in Lunden you can find 4 banners and 6 items with a list that mentions a 7th mystery item in a reference to Voldemort's horcruxes and the Hogwarts Houses in Harry Potter 3) Valhalla's Dawn of Ragnarok DLC: In a world event Havi helps a dwarf named Frodri destroy a ring that Frodri believes gives him bad luck, obviously referencing Frodo attempting to destroy Sauron's evil ring from Lord of the Rings
I agree. I miss those days where they were interconnected. I do love from Assassins Creed 1 to Black Flag they are some of my favorites. Good thoughts and discussion
My favorite connection between Ubisoft games (as several references span several titles) is the connection between I believe the first Watch Dogs and AC, which prove that both games take place in the same world with the Modern Day Templar you have to hunt down in AC3 I believe being the connecting thread. He's out on a mission in the city of Watch Dogs and the reports from that mission are found in AC3 (could be one of the other couple where you're Abstergo employee, I just remember the connection lol)
My favorite is in syndicate when you go to Edward kenways mansion!! Also let's not forget SPOILER ALERT!! Desmond being at the end of Valhalla. You wouldn't even know who he was if you didn't play the first 3 games
Yeah but now they kind of pretend it was never canon and it was just a crossover event that's somehow non-canon despite referencing it multiple times... Makes no sense.
Hey that means a lot to me, thank you! Glad you enjoy the channel enough to even consider that haha. Thanks! Make sure you check out the membership playlist for your tier, okay!? Lots of exclusive stuff there!

fav connection between the games would be between unity and rogue with the assassination of arnos farther

They did a great job with that one. I also still wish there was a game tying all 3 together even more but still it's crazy to see where Shay ended up.
Shay being the one to kill Arno's father literally has no bearing on either character. It's so shallow.

@@DegenerateJayThat’s a shame but I am not surprised. A lot of AC TH-camrs think they work at Ubisoft and know everything.

I didn't know that was right out of the novel! What novel is that? Is there a good starting point?
@@thequestionable1413Assassin’s Creed: Forsaken. It’s the entire plot of ACIII, but from Haytham’s point of view. Easily the best novelization.
Me patiently waiting for Desmond Miles to be resurrected and come back as the modern day protagonist since AC3.
If they brought him back, he'd be possessed by the Ancients hands down in some way. And honestly I'd be there for that

I thought they had learned their lesson after unity, but apparently it was just temporary.
Ubisoft is mad frustrating because they'll take a surefire success and find a way to drop the ball.

Or go back to any of their other IP too like Splinter Cell or Rayman. They have a lot of stuff they just have no interest in anymore.

I remember that George Washington went John Wick mode on the natives with his akimbo smoothbore pistols.
