Just made this it came out great! Though it tasted a little more like soy chicken, ( I think I added too many wings). I used a wok, no lid at med high after the wings were browned and with constant stiring it cermalized perfectly! My wife and I loved it. We mostly drink Coke zero, but I made sure to use regular Coke due to the comments! Thanks for the great recipe!! Would definitely do this again!
Ive tried this twice now, and i dont know what im doing wrong! The cola doesnt caramelize, it just evaporates and leaves the chicken slightly brown! I even tried doing it under a lid, same thing happened!
If you do it under a lid it won’t caramelize. The fluids stay in the pan. I’d use high heat? You wanna get rid of some of the moisture so leave top off and put on high until you lose some moisture? It’s the same thing with taco meat. Also hamburger helper.
