Another great review. You're right about the effect parts; the standard ones are much better for the leg and back thrusters.
I really like the shield. The ball joint connection makes it easy to maneuver it so it doesn't bang off the shoulders too much. Shame that this and the regular Gelgoog Marine are both P-Bandai, biggest injustice since the GM Cannon II. But man the weapon loadout is so cool.

I like the Gelgoog Marine line. I also like the look of the Gelgoog Marine Commander's shield better then the regular Gelgoog's shield.
Oh yes the Commander Type Shield is way better than the Knuckle Shield

Very glad we got it, in-person the colours are okay for me; though I think it'll darken(or fool my eyes enough) a bit like my Johnny Ridden Gelgoog after I panel line it. Unlucky circumstances the one I pre-ordered with my middleman I won't see until the end of April or early May... So, double-dipped on one off a shop kinda local to me because I'm that impatient for my 2nd favourite Gelgoog; eventually gonna paint it to match my shield less(whenever possible) unit from Gundam Battle Operation 2!
Panel-lining will make a huge difference
I got a nice custom paint job that I tailored primarily for Gelgoog Cannons, but as much as I would love to get that (SADLY P BANDAI) Type C set for the extra durability and possibility, thst's also a *lotta* money even for me.
Good luck to any one trying to buy this under 180 now.

Bandai is really all over the place with pricing both the Jager and this Marine commander are around $80 before shipping but this comes with more effects parts and two more fuel canisters. Just a straight up better bang for your buck. I actually prefer the Jared’s design, the hip armor is cleaner to me, but it doesn’t even come with beam sabers!
I am continually impressed how well Bandai articulates these bulbous Zeon designs.
I will continue my rant that all TWE/PBANDAI releases should includes stands for the price.
In a case, I am pleased that 0083 is getting a full lineup, I can’t wait for the EFF zaku to complete the Torrington base squad
Did u see Tamashii twitter show off the Kimberlite color Zaku F2/ apparently the tan colored one will have a remolded midsection so I]the legs can be removed and swapped with the GREEN version (coming in the future), the apparently the existing green F2’S are not compatible so u have to buy the new releases. Bandai is smart

@@UCRDReviews it’s hard to tel; exactly how big the Kimberlite squad is, but so far I preordered two Doms, two tan Zaku, and I’ll probably grab two green ones to mix and mash, and use a normal green one to fill out the numbers.

Finally got my hands on this one and I’m surprised on how good the details are even for a blind man. I’m still having issues with mine just because but they’re very minor and figuring out, any tips with the beam blades and the booster attachments?

Video came back up and worth noting, Cima's shield actually can peg into the Jager's arm. Would love to see the shield in production colors as well to take advantage of that. My Jager is also currently posed with the OG Gelgoog's beam saber just because I could, lol
Is this the MS unit with the fat Canoe shield? Most of my knowledge of Zions MS units came from a game when I was a kid so many years ago, Gundam versus ZETA Gundam. I was figuring on having a line of Xeon MS units from Zaku one, two, GOUF, etc.
Yes Cima’s Gelgoog Marine comes with a much larger Shield than a normal Gelgoog Marine
AH, I would’ve never guessed that difference if I got one. Like I said most of my knowledge of the Gundam series came from the video games like Gundam versus Vader Gundam, ZEONIC front, and Journey to Chaparro. It’s one of the reasons why I’m still hunting the GMG that desert type GM.

Interesting that the Marine and Marine Commander have the additional thrusters on the back of the calves, wonder why the Jager design deleted those?
Since you brought up the Gelgoog Jäger (one of my personal favorite Zeon designs), do you know which Ver. A.N.I.M.E. figure or expansion set I need to buy to get an effect part that is compatible with the Jäger's arm cannons (and I guess by extension the Marine's)? The promo shots of the figure show it using a firing effect, but the figure itself doesn't come with an appropriate effect part and I have thus far not found a figure or set that seems to have that particular piece.
I think it’s just the machine gun effect that comes with Char’s Zaku, Kämpfer, or the upcoming EFF Zaku II F2

I’m telling you I’m learning that some of these are worth it though, I preordered the next Zaku F2 variant.

Those are two different heads on the gm quels at the end of 0083
I just looked right now at the scene from the last episode of 0083 and they look the same to me. What makes them different?
It looks to me that one is a blue gm head from the series and the other is a custom gm head. I look at where the face plate begins and ends. Maybe over analyzing.
But I literally today found them selling the quell on eBay with the bed it shows the mobile suit laying on which started this pursuit.

I would like to try out a ver anime, they seem more stable than gunpla and they also come with amazing effect parts. What do you recommend as a good starting point for a collection?
It depends on what you like but the Dom Tropen is a really solid figure. And the Gelgoog Jäger

Yeah it’s pretty fucked up when they make mainline non-ace MS that aren’t some obscure variant into a PBandai. It really sucks.
The Marine is not worth $80+ for me...
