I grind the welds on the control boxes for that Valley irrigation system. I have been doing it for twenty three years. I have ground over a hundred thousand of the control boxes and I always thought they mostly went to the West, it's cool to see them in Indiana.
Well, WELCOME to Indiana Ryan!!! I hope you enjoyed your time here!!! I wish I would have known you were coming would have enjoyed meeting you and talking!!!
Hey Ryan, I just wanted to say hi and also that my grandparents live on a cattle farm in Bicknell Indiana which is 15 miles from Vincennes. Also I live in Muncie Indiana which is about 45 minutes east of Indianapolis and our corn and soybeans are getting pretty dry, we haven’t had a big rain in about 3 weeks or so.
You was only about 30-45 minutes from our farm. Just a thought for next time your down here. It's a lot of older orange tractors & a CAT 45. We do have a green machine.... 8820 Titan II.
Are beans are still green here in NC. Corn is being pick in some places. Our sweet corn is what we been picking. Love the videos! Keep up the great work!
Sounds about right. I work on a farm about an hour straight north of Indianapolis and there are no pivots anywhere close to us. Closest one would probably be up near Winamac, Royal Center, or Star City. Up there the soil in some fields is muck, and in others it's basically sand. Where I'm at the soil is just a "normal" brown. Nothing too special about it.
crops are irrigated in michigan because of the irrigation also can you make a video of a center pivot running i love those running and on the end with the end gun
Assuming you were in Vincennes the same day I was you weren't too far from me. I had just left the Lowes up the road. I wish I would have known you were going that far south
Yeah the ground here is really dry just in my yard I'm seeing rather wide cracks I've not seen before I believe the winter will be rather hard. With lots of snow that's just my prediction.
Wish I would of knew that a little town you probably drove though Lebanon Indiana is my home town and we where chopping hay our 600ac of alfalfa for the fair oaks dairy farms we are about 30mins north west of Indy interstate 65 runs right though the town you could of checked out he farm I work for 4400ac of corn and beans and 600ac of alfalfa haylage
They don’t really have to worry about drought... here in Holland it is four times as bad, corn the top of the plants are just burned of and have fallen over...
Did you ask what my favorite flavor is, for snacks? I love peanut butter and chocolate mostly from the little cups. Didn't want to write name and get in trouble
Thanks for the road trip ride-along, Ryan. It's nice to seek out fresh perspectives from time to time. As far as travel is concerned, as with life in general, sometimes it's nice to take the long way home. th-cam.com/video/jiQcyGUqdwI/w-d-xo.html
I am always amazed how US farmers complain about prices but buy *practically* new equipment just to sit in the shed or do few hours a year (talking about 8530), here in Europe practically every tractor does close to 1000 hours a year and we still complain that it is not fully utilized, plus 18 000 hours is really not that much for a older tractor such as their sprayer.
They put the tow cable there so as to not stress the pivot point. Also if you pull from there it adds a bit of rotational torque into the frame to help lift the front end.
Loren Coberly ran a 12 row planter with an 8 row head for several years in big hills and no auto steer. It’s really not that bad. But mostly all straight rows here so that does help a lot.
That 690 has some fat tires. Also there's a Cargill SD24 loco down here in Gainesville. Ryan, did you tell him about the Skid steer pushing the locomotive?
I can't wait to watch those videos I'm a Hoosier you where pretty close to my cousin farm and you probably was couple miles from me when you came down south from there. Hope us Hoosier treat you right. Keep up the hard work and stay safe.
Thanks for bring us along on your trip, Ryan! I was surprised to see you stop at Werner farms! I'm afraid the droughty conditions are more widespread than I thought. Here in Central IL, we've had, on average, an inch of rain in the past five and a half weeks.
WOW, my neighbors are famous!!
Hit the big leagues now!
@@WernerAg how far are you from me in Vanderburgh county
lol southern Indiana will send yaw the rain lol
@@cherbert359 about 4 and half hours
Wow! Seeing the drone footage of what was irrigated an what was not is pretty impressive.

I always enjoy another look at the Werner Farms. 👍
Well, WELCOME to Indiana Ryan!!! I hope you enjoyed your time here!!! I wish I would have known you were coming would have enjoyed meeting you and talking!!!
Blows my mind how American farmers can have such nice setups with small amounts of land.
Nice tour ! Keith is great. Safe travels !!!!
Our 4040 John Deere just hit 11,000 hours it hauls bales and feeds cows in the winter
I grew up in that area... Makes me a little homesick.
Go Bombers!
They can definitely have some of our rain out here in South Dakota. Does UPS ship rain?
We would gladly take it if you can find a way to ship it!

That quad track JD with the tow cable? That tractor is set up to pull pan scrapers. That’s why it is on there. It’s not a standard factory thing.
We bought an S770 off of that dealership u passed in Vincennes
Are beans are still green here in NC. Corn is being pick in some places. Our sweet corn is what we been picking. Love the videos! Keep up the great work!
Ryan are you guys going to consider upgrading your combine and heads to make harvest quicker since you now have a truck to haul it?
Yes.

Hey Ryan!! I know what you mean, hate being away from home.
'"TO BE HONEST" its a great video
There is a lot of preventive planting in northern Ohio
Not enough Mountain Dew to fix that. LOL.
Ryan if you are floating around you should stop by and see Andy Dewidler. He is in Ohio.
You should make more videos with other content creators (just an idea)
Should have meet loud and proud
Great job Ryan, you look super tired at the end of the video
Love this vid!
here in maryland we have some beans that are 5 to 6 foot tall

Good thing you don't truck for a living lol
You must make to much money in order to take all your trips. Of course you never bring your significant other with on these adventures

Ouff, 12 row head and a 16 row planter🤪🤪 hope your land is flat with no curves and your guidance is on point.

All those poor crops and yet USDA reports are still driving the markets down. Go figure.
I might be dumb cuz I dont pay attention, but what happened with the USDA report?
