The writers are just so ill- logical. I think the wanted the character to show some remorse because she sort-of supported him after the lost of both his parents and the his brother. From the small clip that was shown in pervious episode it's more likely that she knew of his background and wanted to be a part of his life based on the fact he is from a wealthy family. No matter what , it was her decision to stay with him when she did and was hers when she left. Trying to guilt him to come to her is lower than dirt.
