Today I have a new video for you and believe me its worth every minute!
I went together with my friends Lukas, Johannes and Max to a remote island where we fished from the shore for predatory fish. We spend there 3 days and I can tell you that we did get some fish.

That second fish, your counter was very weak and then when you open the bail the pressure stops and the fish unhooks since the hooks didnt penetrate up to the counterhooks . Happened to me many times on the part when I would try to reposition the rod on the thigh and at that time I would lose the pressure on the hooks and fish gets unhooked. So strong counter few times if needed and then you can do anything.
@@hldemi_fishing sounds logical! I also think I should have pumped it up faster once it was close and not let it swim to the side. I had 100 ideas what I should have done better and even today I remember this every now and then…
@@rybakmarkus ah yeah the pumping but I figured you were tired at the time. Haha yeah, those moments will haunt us forever but remembering them is a sign of a strong learning mentality.
Great video, nice catches. Personally i just love Šolta and for the last 20 years i traditionally spend a week or two in a tent, fishing on south side of the island.
Nothing in a world could replace those times.
BTW, be careful with tuna catches. I see you know about restrictions but also consider that our authorities have already in some cases used fishing videos to get the fisherman on court, and with ap. 30 000 Euro fine for harvesting big game fish its not something to take lightly.
Anyway, have a great times guys and i cant wait for another fishing video from Croatian coast. 😉

That was a joke about tuna because this fish was so big! The species is Little Tunny, also known as False Albacore, or Luc in Croatian, and it is perfectly legal to take them!

Thanks for clarification about the fish, i honestly didn't focused much on it but rather was trying to figure out your location (uncusesfuly)....i guess i should watch it again :)
I always go to the south side (Marinča rat) under the military bunkers or under the Šolta's shooting range.
Its a rough terrain even for the toughest boots but so beautiful and peacefull, no courious hikers, rarely few fishing boats passes by.
Just silence and open sea.
A month or so and i should post one of my own vids......never did it all these years and now i miss it.
Some moments like being alone on rocks in the middle of the night fighting to pull out raging 1,5m shark was epic.
Scared as hell and almost s**t my pants but it was priceless.

Fahre demnächst auch nach Kroatien. Würde gerne auch ein paar Würfe machen, habe aber keine Erfahrung mit der Küstenangelei in Kroatien. Was würdest du mir als Startequipment empfehlen? Habe einiges an Ausrüstung vom Fischen in Norwegen und möchte mir nicht allzu viel Neues kaufen - sit ja ein Familienurlaub und ich weiß noch nicht, wie oft ich die Rute auswerfen "darf"

Angedacht wäre die Gegend zwischen Split und Zadar - ich bin mit dem Camper unterwegs. Da ich drei kleine Kinder habe, kommt zum ernsthaften Fischen nur der Abend und vielleicht auch mal der Morgen in Frage. Angelmethode auf jeden Fall Spinnfischen vom Ufer. Gerne würde ich was für die Küche fangen.
Was mich besonders interessieren würde: Monofil oder geflochtene? Tragkraft? Braucht man ein Fluorcarbonvorfach? Hätte mir einige Stickbaits und Wobbler gekauft und danach auch das Wurfgewicht der Rute gewählt (30 - 60 g, rund 3 m lang).

Coole Aufnahmen, habe jetzt auch einen Kroatienurlaub vor mir und wollte vom Ufer fischen mit einer 100gr und 60gr kombo. 0,16er und 0.24er Schnur drauf. Uferjigging sollte die Hauptangelart sein. Hast du eine Empfehlung für ein passendes Vorfach, 0,5?

Ich würde bei schwierigen Spots wo Fische in die Felsen abziehen können immer so 0,6mm nehmen. Ein 0,40 oder auch 0,50 wird schon sehr schnell gekappt wenn der Fisch über eine scharfe Kante abzieht.
Wenn der Spot frei von Hindernissen ist dann auch ohne Probleme 0,4 oder 0,5mm.

Thanks for the comment! I want to clarify that we stayed within the legal framework and we did not take more fish than allowed. What was taken was partially consumed during the trip, you know 4 hard fishing dudes get hungry, and the rest was taken home for our wifes, girlfriends and families to try. So, what we will do next time with our fish is 100% our decision. Tight lines!

Do you need special license for tuna fishing and does it require paperwork if you want to keep the fish? Thank you in advance for the information
Only for Blufin tuna and you have to buy the license to keep them. It can only be bought once a year at an auction and you will pay in advance about 5-7eur per kg. But not for normal fisherman, only if you have a business license.

@@NikolaVitas-pb8nx a svatko po jednu, dakle svoju. No moram i priznat ne znam ni kako bi ih vadili bez kuke bez da udjemo u more. Sljedeci put smo nosili onda sag/podmetac da mozemo pustat i to radi s manjim ribama, sa vecin opet puno teze.

Šolta is really a beautiful and diverse Island! Every part of it looks way different on Cam than it does in real life or google maps. Its unique!

@@hldemi_fishing absolutely, he knows everything about the Island! Next time we want to check out Pašman, as it seems that that might be the best Croatian Island for Shore Jigging!
@@rybakmarkus if I consider the offset you took when considering šolta, then with Pašman you are definitely right. I was both on "Šolta" and "Pašman" and would say that pašman is considerably better. But locals are much more problematic, land ownership is problematic and many trails are blocked and even guarded by locals.

Sehr cooles Videos danke!! Ich bin selbst beigebrachter Angler hab aber noch nicht so viel Erfahrung. Bin dabei mich auszustatten für einen angeltrip nach Griechenland. Ich möchte gar keine so großen Fische mir reichen Makrelen oder normale barsche. Jetzt meine Frage: ich habe eine Teleskoproute mit 30-60g Wurfgewicht und 2.80m Länge (wurde mir empfohlen für Distanz wegen Küste). Welche Köder vom Gewicht her und Größe könntest du mir empfehlen damit ich was fange?

Danke! Klar kann ich, davor brauch ich aber ein paar Eckdaten über Fischart, Größe, und Tiefe!
Ich möchte in Kroatien von der Küste aus auf der Insel Rab ein bisschen shore jiggen probieren im Frühling vor der Bootssaison. Normalerweise angle ich vom Boot aus in dieser Gegend. Ich denke ein Allround-Setup zum beginnen wäre interessant. Welche Rute und welche Rolle würdest du spontan empfehlen? LG
Ich würde da nicht zu schwer gehen! Eine Rute bis 100g genügt. Von meiner Rute gibts so eine Version, ist die Savage Gear SGS6 30-100g gepaart mit einer Shimano Stradic SW6000XG und einer 0,24 geflochtenen drauf. Das ist ne gute Kombo mit der du auch schönere Fische gezielt beangeln kannst.
Vielen Dank nochmals für die Empfehlung! Kannst du mir bitte noch Köderempfehlungen nennen, welche Köder/Ködermix man unbedingt kaufen und mitnehmen sollte damit man gut ausgestattet ist für den ersten Angeltrip. (Jigs, Assisthooks, welche Grössen, Gewicht, verschiedene Farben?) Ich mag mich gleich mit ausreichend verschiedenen Ködern eindecken und mitnehmen zum ausprobieren. Danke und LG

Erst einmal herzliche Gratulation zu Euren Fängen. Top!👍🏼 Etwas muss ich trotzdem noch loswerden. Ich verstehe, dass Du den Namen der Insel nicht unbedingt nennen möchtest. Weisst ja wahrscheinlich auch warum… Jedoch finde ich es als regelmässiger Šolta-Angler weniger cool, wenn Du solche Unwahrheiten in deinem Video und Kommentaren verbreitest. Dann besser nichts zur Lokalität sagen, als solchen Mist… Hoffe auf eine Berichtigung deinerseits. Freundlicher Gruss und weiterhin Petri!

Ich möchte auch so fair sein und auf den zweiten Punkt mit Šolta eingehen, wofür ich aber ein wenig ausholen werde. Da ich meine Reisen, Equipment, Cams und das Schneiden der Videos selber finanziere und keine Investoren oder Sponsoren habe unterliegt auch die künstlerische und kreative Interpretation und Präsentation meiner Videos zu 100% mir. Ich kann also in den Videos genau das zeigen, oder sagen, was ich will. Ich könnte philosophieren ob die Erde nun rund ist, oder eine Scheibe. Aber ich kann auch behaupten, dass ich auf Šolta bin, auf der Insel Susak, oder auch dem Mars (wenn ich mal ganz lustig sein will). In meinem Fall habe ich mich für die Šolta-Variante entschieden, da dies aufgrund von Spotgeiern ein Running-Gag unter kroatischen Angel-TH-camrn geworden ist und es sowieso jedem der sich zumindest ein wenig in Kroatien auskennt auffallen wird. Der Gag läuft schon eine Weile, aber in den letzten Wochen kam wieder mehr davon. Der einzige Unterschied ist, die anderen TH-camr mit einer weitaus größeren Rechweite als ich schreiben das sogar in den Video-Titel rein. Ich hingegen hab diesen Gag 2x in einem sonst 44min langem Video ausgesprochen, worauf sich bei fast 4000 views jetzt genau 4 Personen gemeldet haben... Das ist die Erklärung zu dem Thema. Eine offizielle Berichtigung oder Statement wird es von meiner Seite nicht geben.
Dir auch ein kräftiges Petri Heil für deine zukünftigen Trips nach Kroatien!
