As a Leicester fan it has to be Shinji Okazaki... what a legend! Started at S-Pulse, helped write history with my beloved Foxes, and still plays for Sint-Truiden at 37 Also epic to see a collab with Jack, a staple of my weekday ❤
Shinji Okazaki was such an awesome player in Fifa Career Mode for me, he's up there with Kagawa and Kubo as my favorite Japanese players because of his incredible playing at Leicester, even if he was a bit overshadowed by Vardy.
As a HUGE Coventry City fan, I am thrilled at the performance of Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and quickly becoming beloved at Coventry while starting his career at Montedio Yamagat and moving to Cerezo Osaka, he's found a new home with the Sky Blues!
@@RegularMatt82 hope so, his recent form suggests he should be, only problem is he's competing with some cracking players but good thing about tats is he can play in loads of positions so I hope I get to see him be an international player while still in a sky blue shirt
My current favorite Japanese footballer is Celtic's Daizen Maeda, and it's all because of FM. He spent a season in Portugal at Marítimo on a year where I did a save with them. He led me to two third place finishes, late stages of the Europa League and 3 cup wins, scoring a lot of goals in the process.
Park Jisung - lots of great memories watching him play growing up. Great to see WTS here, you should definitely have him back and look forward to his upcoming J-League version of Park to Prem.
Yohei Takaoka, Played for J.League clubs like Yokohama FC, Sagan Tosu, and Yokohama F. Marinos before moving to his current home: Vancouver Whitecaps of the MLS. At 27, he's an awesome goalkeeper with great potential to become something special.
Kaoru Mitoma. He is a very versatile left winger and his ball control is perfect. It amazes me everytime I see his first touch. Always a nightmare for the opposing defense. Great to know more wonderkids in J. league.
Shinji Ono scored the most devastating goal I've ever witnessed in person (against my Brisbane Roar, post-Ange I think). He was an amazing technician. What a baller.
Nice collab. Would love to see more like this in the future. For me it's Shinji Kagawa and his unforgettable start (that's when I actively started to follow his career) at Dortmund vs Schalke many years ago. :)
Shoutout to Atomu Tanaka who played for Albirex Niigata in J1 for a decade as a squad player before moving to Finland and becoming a star of the league with half a dozen titles and counting! Usually when a foreign player comes here and succeeds they quickly move on to bigger and richer fields but "Atom" has stayed here for a long time now and has become a true ambassador of the Japanese-Finnish community! Great video Jack! Hope to see more of these!
Jack!!!!! Excellent video as always! Someone give that man a coconut!! For me it has to be Shinji Okazaki. Selflessness bottled up in a brilliant Japanese Legend. He was the player I was impressed with the most in that Epic, one for the ages Leicester title run. And he is still playing at Saint Truiden at 37. Brilliant.
As a Brighton supporter... could it *be* anybody but Kaoru Mitoma? I mean, this man wrote a thesis on dribbling and is going out and teaching personal lessons to Premier League defenses every time he touches the pitch.
Reo Hatate. The way he came to Celtic and just dominated the midfield was amazing to watch. It was in fact watching TH-cam highlight videos was how I discovered the J-League channel and that they live stream games! Now I'm a Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo fan
My favourite 'Made in J-League' player of all time is Keisuke Honda, who, after his move to VVV-Venlo, quickly became one of my favourite players ever, and really made me look out for any new up and coming Japanese players. For the still active players, I'm gonna go with Hiroki Ito, who was a key part of my team when I won the Champions League in this years' FM beta :)
As a Cerezo Osaka fan I gotta say Shinji Kagawa! He's had an amazing career both in Japan and overseas. I was so so lucky to see Cerezo win 3-1 against Nagoya Grampus last year. The atmosphere and dedication of the fans was like nothing else, I can't wait to go back!
Loved the video will be checking out some of these guys on my save! Favourite JLeague player has to be Mitoma, he’s massive now but loved watching his highlights an first came across him years ago on a TH-cam binge at 3am!
being from New Zealand and watching the a-league, seeing Keisuke Honda for Melbourne Victory score against the Wellington Phoenix in person was one of the best experiences I have had. He is definitely the highest caliber of player I have ever seen live in person. A more current player however that I love watching is Sporting Lisbon's Hidemasa Morita who always is consistent solid player and unfortunately for me being an Arsenal fan, was a reason why sporting knocked us out of the Europa league last year
As Belgian, Mitoma was one of the Japanese players in the Jupiler Pro League who I enjoyed the most. At his time at Union SG, his pace and dribbling was so special to see and to see him now as a good winger in the Premier League, I really like him
Seeing Jack here was a surprise, but a weclome one! I think this is an awesome collab for both sides, one of the most entertaining youtubers out there and one of the most entertaining leagues! As for my favourite active player from the league, as a Liverpool fan it has to be Endō Wataru! I loved the signing from the start, and he's been able to prove himself as one of the best DMs in the world, both for Liverpool and for Japan! (Bonus shoutout to King Kazu, still playing professionally in Portugal at 56!)
Mitoma is my favourite Japanese player currently playing. He started his career at Kawasaki Frontale, where he won the J1 League twice and was named Rookie of the Year in 20201. He then moved to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021, after a successful loan spell at Union SG in Belgium2. He has been a revelation in the Premier League, dribbling through defences, scoring goal, providing assists . A key player for Japan, with 7 goals in 18 appearances, including a hat-trick against China in the World Cup qualifiers. He is a delight to watch, with his pace, dribbling, and finishing skills. He has a massive future ahead of him, and I hope he continues to shine for club and country. 🔥🇯🇵
I've been following Kaoru Mitoma since his Kawasaki days and rated him highly, told my friends that he could be playing in Europe one day, and voila, Brighton snapped him up a few months later! And since I lived for 6 years in Oita Prefecture around the late 2010s, I got to see the talented Tomoki Iwata carrying Oita Trinita on his back, earning himself a move to Yokohama F. Marinos and Celtic as a result!
As a psv fan i have a weak spot for ritsu doan, i still miss him at the club, also, another great video Jack, this will definitely help me snatch up some crazy talents
Tomiyasu has to be my favourite, very underrated, started off his career in Fukuoka and now at Arsenal 💪🏼 I'm definitely keeping an eye out for Zion Suzuki tho 👀
gotta be Hasebe Makoto, first Japanese Bundesliga winner, with my favorite German team, Wolfsburg. An absolute legend that's still kicking about with Frankfurt at the ripe age of 40, came up through the Urawa Red Diamonds team.
Shoki Nagano - Fukushima striker in J3 League. My first and only FM save this game, 5 seasons in he’s stuck with me all the way to 8th in J League and is now our all time record goal scorer.
Currently my favorite player made in J.League is Ao Tanaka. He was part of that lovely Kawasaki Frontale team with Mitoma and I've always enjoyed his perfomances for the NT. One of the more technically gifted players of this generation in my opinion. I feel like he would be useful for many teams in the top 5 European leagues.
Definitely need more J League and Jack collab's, this was a great video! My favourite J League player as a Huddersfield Town fan has to be current Samari Blue left/centre back Yuta Nakayama. Yuta started his career at Kashiwa Reysol before making the move to Holland to play for PEC Zwolle and now with us in West Yorkshire. Calm and measured on the ball, we are missing him whilst he is on international duty! Up The Town
As a Sporting CP it has to be Hidemasa Morita, what a player! Came to Portugal to play for a smaller club and now it's one of the best midfielders in our league.
I started my JLeague save at Christmas and signed Takatora Einaga in my second season with YSCC Yokohama and he’s been excellent. Didn’t realise he was that highly rated! Maybe my scouting ability is better than I thought. Another cracking video from Jack
Love the collaboration with Jack! My favourite player to come out of Japan has to be Shunsuke Nakamura. A dead-ball-specialist like no other with ball playing ability to spare. Always was a great watch, especially in the latter stages of his career back at Jubilo Iwata and Yokohama FC!
I remember visiting Japan almost 10 years ago, where I saw a match with Kazuyoshi Miura who was playing for Sagan Tosu, if I remember correctly, and he made me fall in love with Japanese football.
Ao Tanaka has been a pleasure to watch thrive this season at dusseldorf. I've really been enjoying him play and see a bright future for him in european football!
My personal choice would be Wataru Endo, been following him his career ever since his stint in J2 with Shonan Bellmare, his step up to J1 and the eventual move to Urawa Red Diamonds. No one believed in him after his jump to Europe through Sint-Truidense but he defied all odds, earning a move to then 2.Bundesliga Stuttgart and ended up becoming a legEndo there, helping them to the Bundesliga and saving them from relegation seasons after seasons. Honestly it's bizarre to see him in a Liverpool shirt right now knowing where he was just a few years ago, but I always trusted him to become great, maybe I'll get to see him back at Shonan Bellmare at the end of his career too 🤞
Great to see the league collaborating with Jack!!! Favorite player for me, Tatsuhiko Kubo, the dragon! still remember the screamer he scores for Yokohama FC opening day sometime ago and his funky dance moves lol
For me as a Southampton fan, it has to be Maya Yoshida, an icon on and off the pitch, who still trains with the club occasionally! Honourable mentions would have to go to Tadanari Lee and Minamino who both were also solid for us while they were here
My current favourite player is Kaoru Mitoma from Kawasaki Frontale that currently playing at Brighton(most of us know who he is). His rising definitely help Brighton to root better on the top 10 of EPL and make Japan national team so strong
Awesome that J League reached out to Jack. My favorite Japanse player was Shunsuke Nakamura with Reggina and Celtic, a brilliant midfielder and free kick taker. The first one that I got to know was the Hidetoshi Nakata with Perugia.
Liverpool fan here. Of course, there are two Japanese players I’d mention, however, I’ll say Wataru Endo is my pick as favourite. His start & impact on the team is impressive & I look forward to him consistently dominating in defensive midfield.
My fav Japan player is Ayase Ueda currently playing for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie, been watching him since he played for Kashima Antlers playing with Araki, Everaldo, Higuchi, Pituca and co, and now he is in my eyes Japans best striker currently!
Kengo Nakamura is my player when I think about the J league. He was never a established player in Europe but what he did with Kawasaki was amazing establishing them as a J1 league team and eventually winning it. I love a one club man and Kengo Nakamura fits that exactly!
For me, my favourite made in J-Leauge footballer has to be Takefusa Kubo; he is just such a phenomenal talent. He also used to play for my favourite two teams in Japan FC Tokyo and Yokohama F Marinos, which is super cool to me. He's having such a great season this year with Real Sociedad, and I truely think he will a world class talent soon if he isn't already.
Looking good and having the J League finally playable in Football Manager is great and a big step forward with how football has grown so much since the inception of the J League. Looking forward to seeing how well these wonder kids do that Work the Space researched.
Glad to see this collab and looking forward to a series placed in Japan! My favorite japonese player must be Takehiro Tomiyasu, always signed him in fifa and FM!
My fav player has to be TAKEFUSA KUBO🇯🇵. Im an FC Tokyo fan from RSA🇿🇦 and honestly speaking watching him come through the U18 to play in Europe making waves in LaLiga is so beautiful ❤
As a german with an affinity for BVB, it has to be Shinji Kagawa. Watching him and Klopp's boys beat Bayern and Schalke multiple times was really satisfying. And he was fun to watch on the ball, too.
Takuma Asano- actually met him once very nice guy -Thought he was going to be a wonderkid signing. Didn't really live up to it but still will always love him.
Great to see this collab and looking forward to seeing more of this channel and hopefully Jack too. As an Arsenal fan obviously I'll go for Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Mitoma, right now, is the Japanese hero!!! So talented guy 💙 That's kind of a dream being part of this channel. I remember as a kid trying to acknowledge and experience more informations about japanese football and never got a chance to do it. Thanks truly JLeague for being so active with us europeans 💙 日本頑張って! 💙
Satoshi Tanaka was a player I signed in FM24 during the Beta, and I enjoyed his play so much I've bought him to RB Salzburg in my first main save too. Not having the same success as in my Beta Save, but a good backup for the Austrian Bundesliga
Leicester boy here. Only one man can hold the favourites title for me. Shinji okazaki! Absolute Leicester legend Special mention to yuki Abe too but I don't think he's playing anymore.
Being a Liverpool fan it has to be Waturo Endo, what a player! Absolute bargain of the season. Although I'm gutted we got rid of Taki Minamino as he was a really underrated player and i thought he could have done really well for us..
As a Milan supporter it has to be Keisuke Honda for me. Great to see the J-League replicated in FM this year and certainly one or two teams worthy of a save.
For My Tokyo Vardy save in FM my favorite made in japan players have been Katsuya Iwatake and Takumi Nakamura making our defence solid and great at going forward bringing Leo Kokubo home has made us title challengers and recently signed Sota Kitano who looks like he might become new superstar!
I like yu kobayashi, a legend for kawasaki frontale! those 2017-2020 years when he was top scorer and won titles with kawasaki was what made me get interested into being a fan
I would say Mitoma as I fell in love with him during lockdown and discovered the J League, however I have to go with Yuito Suzuki. I follow Shimizu S-Pulse and he looked incredible for such a young player. I followed his time at Strasbourg where he wasn't given many minutes, but since moving to Brondby he has hit the ground running. I think he will make another move in Europe soon after getting more minutes under his belt.
Makoto Hasebe ❤ The guy is an absolute rock, really reminds me of old school players in Europe from when I grew up, it helps he plays for Frankfurt whose supporters have a strong bond with the team I support in Oldham Athletic 😂
Thanks for inviting me over for this video! Hopefully FM24 is right and all 5 of these players go on to shine in the upcoming season
I thought my YT homepage glitched when I saw you on a J.League thumbnail lol
@guguy00 bro I saw this and was just staring at it confused
Great collaboration, hope there is more to come 🔥🔥🔥
no offence but "renowned" is a bit much haha
As a Leicester fan it has to be Shinji Okazaki... what a legend!
Started at S-Pulse, helped write history with my beloved Foxes, and still plays for Sint-Truiden at 37
Also epic to see a collab with Jack, a staple of my weekday ❤
at FSV Mainz he was like a mosquito

When you came down to the Den he was actually very good , I cried when we lost but absolute baller. You have a gem on your hands
He is exciting, only a matter of time until he gets an International cap.

Thanks truly JLeague for being so active with us europeans 💙 日本頑張って! 💙
My favourite made in J-League footballer is Keigo Tsunemoto, he has been an incredible player for Servette so far and I love watching him play
Absolute Leicester legend
Special mention to yuki Abe too but I don't think he's playing anymore.
Hiroki Ito, one of the best defenders in Europe!!!
Really cool collab mate
Being a Liverpool fan it has to be Waturo Endo, what a player! Absolute bargain of the season. Although I'm gutted we got rid of Taki Minamino as he was a really underrated player and i thought he could have done really well for us..
Really fond of Kubo and Mitoma in terms of active players, both very skilful!
As a Milan supporter it has to be Keisuke Honda for me. Great to see the J-League replicated in FM this year and certainly one or two teams worthy of a save.
Kaoru Mitoma is my favourite player. Always a joy to watch him in the prem
As a Coventry fan it has to be Tatsuhiro Sakamoto. What a player he's started to look like since our form picked up from the beginning of December
Love the collab, has got to be Shinji Okazaki, what a man and a career
I would say Mitoma as I fell in love with him during lockdown and discovered the J League, however I have to go with Yuito Suzuki. I follow Shimizu S-Pulse and he looked incredible for such a young player. I followed his time at Strasbourg where he wasn't given many minutes, but since moving to Brondby he has hit the ground running. I think he will make another move in Europe soon after getting more minutes under his belt.
Koki Saito. Loved watching him at Yokohama FC and seeing his continuing European rise
As a massive Celtic fan it has to be Nakamura for the joys he’s brought but a close second would be either kyogo or hatate more recently
Makoto Hasebe ❤ The guy is an absolute rock, really reminds me of old school players in Europe from when I grew up, it helps he plays for Frankfurt whose supporters have a strong bond with the team I support in Oldham Athletic 😂
Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton & Hove Albion FC) is my favourite. Great vid Jack! 🙂
My fave is Kaoru Mitoma. I love adding his pace in fm.
