Sandbar Mullet, a Redfish and Speckled Sea Trout Streamer Fly

In this video, we tie a version of Louisiana fly tyer/designer Nick Vlahos' Sandbar Mullet streamer, a highly recommended redfish fly that is also effective for speckled trout. You can see/buy this and other of Nick's flies at sandbarflies.com, Orvis, or Fulling Mill.
Material list for purple/chartreuse:
• Gamakatsu B10s hook size 1/0
• 140 denier chartreuse thread or similar
• Large red lead eyes (smaller eyes if desired for very shallow water).
• Purple saddle hackle (or neck hackle, schlappen, etc.) - 4 feathers cut to 3 ¼” with ¼” of the barbules stripped from the bottom
• Grizzly neck hackle (or from bugger pack) - 2 feathers, cut and stripped the same as the saddle.
• Chartreuse and purple Senyo Laser Dub
• Red glitter 1.5mm craft foam strips, cut in ¼” strips, 5/8” long. Cut with a slight taper from base to top.
• Head cement or super glue.
