Very insightful video. Always interesting to see someone break down the actual thought processes behind certain game mechanics that I usually just do automatically, helps to see the game from a new perspective. Thank you.
i was already decent at dogfighting; now i'm practically unbeatable! thanks mate though i do have some constructive feedback: using your takeoff flaps during tight turns makes all the difference, and trying to do an inversion loop to break the constant circling is my winning move. (especially when dealing with grenlander fighters)
I did not include throttle control since I want to introduce the topic of throttle control on it's own. Also you can dm me @benmccool01 on discord if you got any questions.
I was looking for more of a beginner guide, this video introduces quite a lot of terms and concepts I personally do not understand incredibly fast. To anyone looking for more of a beginner guide, you may need to look for another video. (the fact that slides change every second also does not help.)
I thought about a guide for fresh beginners but I never had the time to do one since higher priorities from Irl college got me busy. Yet again the videos I produced aren’t meant for people who are freshly new as it’s targeted for people who have basic knowledge of dogfighting in aviation games. There’s always the entire internet to look up the source. In terms of the slides changing every clip is something I can’t control that much without altering the speed or quality of the video. Best way to get Actual grasp is to watch the videos ignoring the slides, then go back and watch (as in studying them) the video step by step.
this should be the official training video for pilots (In-game of course). most pilots I meet have more training and experience than the kid in the test that didn't study.
For the people who didnt see the connection (i didnt until halfway through the vid) Energy is basically momentum. Speed. Kinetic energy, whatever lets you click the idea in your mind.
@@gabrielegenota1480 It’s speed that allows you to turn tighter for X amount of time. Speed is managed on how much potential and kinetic energy you have. I recommend checking out war thunder energy videos to get a better understand of it

No problem at all. Thank you for watching, as I hope it helps you as well.

Right?! Whenever I started being more aware of my airspeed, dogfighting got so much easier. I can easily go toe to toe with a Messer because of this!

i kinda had an unconscious understanding of it but this video helped me connect it all ty

I played it on 0.75x and paused to read the boxes
I’ve yet seen someone fly upside down like me🗿
As an airship assault player this helps out a lot. (I still suck at the game)
Pro tip: get Jester as your rio to gain a competitive advantage
assuming he doesnt eject

Bro is Albert Einstein wtf good stuff

How can i avoid pulling too much AoA if I'm using a Keyboard?
Gradually use the Q/E buttons to go up or down to stabilize your AoA.
I cant keep my sanity dogfighting in this game with the camera system
so my beginner brain sees that altitude = potential energy and pitching downwards make-a-me turn faster? pitching upwards makes me turn slower?

Energy? I thought you just fly and bomb?
Whats an AoA?
May I suggest that you turn on landing flaps when turning?
They're not ideal in an attack plane since it would create lift, wasting more energy when neutral turning
WHY DO I HEAR THE RED BARON
Thx bro, now I can train better
Pilot was my least favorite class that has 6 exp levels
You’re missing out
@@benmcccool0123 You're really missing out the Fire rocket MLAAs and fighter plane
Stock planes? Wait you can upgrade them?
No, once reaching lv10 you can get a dedicated fighter for both nations.
At the time I did not know what was the name of the attack plane.
Im actually good at dogfight but lag got me
