Unironically the last season before this when Garrison was running for office he went to Canada because he wanted to kick out Canadians from the US but, the Canadians all moved to America because they elected their own version of Trump. In the end, Garrison ended up literally banging the Canadian Trump until he died, because that’s what his campaign was about, and eventually became Trump himself.
The funny thing about who they are voting for was an episode before where stan didn't want to vote. So that's why he asked why are we doing this again. The episode making fun of reboots is essentially a reboot
