this is why i waited on going port, figured something like this would come along. Definitely liking the results people are showing so far. Thanks for doing the digging cause their post was somewhat confusing with the peaky curve and lack of info, i couldnt even find out if they had an upgraded cam, but kinda figured they did.
This is awesome. Been waiting for this to finally put the TU on a shelf and get the ultimate fueling solution. Glad I didn't go with the additional complication of PI, even if the valves would be cleaned
Pretty wild to see whats coming out for the gen 1 b58s. Both spool performance and dorch engineering got a lot of stuff still up their sleeves that we still havent seen yet! I'm so excited for the future.
@yuutsu4074 so it'd be best to do HPFP injectors and a hybrid turbo then to be safe? I'm guessing most power our cars can handle reliably is less than 700?
Hey kern im on a daw 2.5+ w a DS25 im going to get spool fx150 injectors and spool stage 3 lpfp trying to send it; I got a question is the spool stg3 lpfp plug n play?
So for the A90 --- Which components would we need if we just want to be able to run full E85 without adding port? And would that be the same setup if also upgrading to a hybrid turbo? What about something like your Doc race top mount.. ? I would like to be able to run E85 on either a hybrid or mild top mount without port injection in the future if possible. Currently running BM3 Custom Rom with E50 and stock turbo.
Question for Kern: I have a 23 MT Supra and I’m planning to run a 6466 top mount. Should I wait for reflex integration capability for port injection with BM3/MHD. Or can I unlock with custom rom on BM3 right away and use this solution? Thanks
Can you please help me with you knowledge, I have 2019 f22 m240xi stage 2 mhd , stage 3 xhp. Pushing around 420hp . Can you please tell me if I need to upgrade the fuel pump or the stock one is enough ? What other things I might need to do to the car to keep it safe?
A clean running PCV system will filter out oil, and a healthy engine will not push excessive blow by. These cars are typically responsive and efficient because of how the engine is designed and manufactured. That's why a lot of people say they install a catch can and it stays dry for months and months.
Hey kern I was thinking about upgrading injectors on my n55 to the ” ostrum High Performance 3.0L BMW S55/N55 Stage 2 DI Injectors”. I am PS2 WMI all supporting mods running E50. What do you think in your honest opinion?
Lol I'm halfway through my port injection install as I'm watching this uhhhhh. And I have the spool 180, had that for a while though, but yeah, I feel dumb.
Keep in mind a few things. Port injection is easier to install than a cam Port still has an advantage in low rpm The stuff isn't out yet and they haven't provided a date. If you want to get going with your setup this summer then port still makes sense.
Even if you upgrade to all of that, it will be just a matter of time until the engine will blow if not rebuilding the engine. Anything over 600hp on stock internals is a ticking bomb.
I was one of the first, if not the first b58 to be tuned by Edgar @dsmlights He is a great tunner and always listens to what the client wants and puts a lot of time and effort into it. He is now using ecutek.
As a longtime N54 owner the B58 is just nuts🔥🔥🔥

Every time we think things are slowing down, a whole new line of parts comes out 😅
@kern417 and I love it!! Just dont tell my wife how much these parts really are 😅

Would love to see a comparison between the DI suite of products from Spool and Dorch / XDI once they are all released and available to the public.

Thanks for sharing. 👍

Here. I just hope at least the Gen 2 solution gets us to E50 on a Hybird.
Between spool & xtreme di? Which injector upgrade has the higher capabilities? Or are they equal options
Could you review spool performance 8hp stage 2 tansmission kit
Outro 🔥😂
Wonder if these would help push more power for people who are already on port and maxed out?
Not really
What would be the top out for a street car with this hpfp and injectors how much can the stock turbo be pushed?
Stock turbos have been seen to go around 550-600 top out. Not very much breathing room when going that route though. (Pun intended)
@yuutsu4074 so it'd be best to do HPFP injectors and a hybrid turbo then to be safe? I'm guessing most power our cars can handle reliably is less than 700?
Stock turbo maxes out in the low 500s. This won't provide an appreciable gain in power, just more torque with higher ethanol mixes.

Whats again the max capacity of all the different HPFP: TU, Dorch S1/S2, FX180 and FX200?

All you need is a tune to run full E85. Actual fueling mods depends on your goals for power/performance, etc
@@kern417 I thought the stock fuel system was only capable of flowing up to E50 before it ran out of room?

when are HPFP upgrades coming for Gen 2?
hopefully in the next few months
Need these for my Supra!😢😢😢 😂
Lift kits are where it is at. Port is just a pain.

Reflex works as a standalone so you don't necessarily need to wait for any connectivity from bm3/mhd.

upgrade hpfp
@@dylanknight2225to which one?
Stock one is safe for stage 2. If you want more power than yes you'll need an upgraded fuel pump. It just depends on your goals
Have they released this in Europe?
Does port injection clean the intake valves? Is that an issue with the B58? If not, then this is great news.
It’s a problem on every DI car, although there are solutions to fix that, or at least prevent it for longer.
The B58 does not have carbon buildup issues. Port injection isn't necessary just for that purpose.
@@kern417 Any idea what would make the B58 immune to carbon buildup issues when only being DI ?

This comment is unrelated to the video, but would you say to go for a 2016 or 2018 340i
2018 has better idrive and other features. but as far as the engine/drivetrain is concerned, it's all the same.

i wouldn't expect it to fix octane limits.

I am wondering if using spool's lift kit and dorch stage 2 hpfp would actually work
good question
If they’re testing their new products, why not use the fx350? 🤔
Fx350 is for gen 2 (350bar fuel systems)
@@kern417when is it out ?
@@kern417 whaaa, I could of sworn it was gen 1 also. It was confirmed in their post. That sucks if you’re right though.
Their post says that it will work on gen 1 (just like the TU pump does) but it's not necessarily designed to flow more than the fx200.
Not sure, i haven't seen them post timing
Also, are they using reflex for the lpfp?
Probably just a hobbs switch, not sure
