I remember as a kid the first time I laid eyes on Tony Atlas. I had no idea humans could be so muscular and strong! He inspired me to start lifting and though I never achieved results close to him, it most definitely made me a better athlete as a young man. Plus the modest results I did get, set me apart from most young guys back in the day, with a reputation as being one of the strongest and better built young athletes in my hometown. Thanks Tony and God bless!

There is no lying in Tony. It's truly a dark business that never had any type of formal investigation. Even though I painted these wrestlers as my heroes growing up throughout the eighties and nineties. Feel guilty, knowing now from a few perspectives reportin from Brusier Brody murder and the tag team duo Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas days. And the surrounding tales of the industry. Keep in mind. As tall and muscular Atlas was, he was a mind of a 5-year-old in the industry do, don't, and way of business. Bless him and all that has fallen to the greediness of the wrestling entertaining sport

That's really messed up if that's true. However, their are three sides to every story. Your side, my side, and the truth that usually falls in the middle. The wrestling business is definitely a cut throat business. i couldn't imagine the things that go on behind closed doors. After hearing interviews with many of the wrestlers it would definitely make you think twice about joining the business.

Great interview. Rocky left this part of the story out when he went to diss TA. Cheating with your wife and son in the next room is bogus as fuck. But then to put it on TA as to why they were late is ludicrous. Sad to hear that the black dudes didn't have some form of unofficial alliance, like the Samoans do. Never heard of Tiger Conway until now, just wiki'd him and turns out Mad Dog Vachon broke his kneecap, proving once again the bigoted history of wrestling,

Rock, and Vince decided Brock would drop the strap to Rock in Miami, and Brock was told this 2 hours before the match by Rock instead of Jack Lanza who usually gave him the finish. The Rock then proceeded to throw Vince under the bus, and acting surprised that Lesnar was not informed by Vince about finish sooner when Brock asked what the finish was. Vince knew Lesnar was not going to renew his contract because Brock opened up to Kurt Angle about it, and that's why it was decided to give the belt to Rock before he left. Brock insists he would of had zero problems doing a job for Rock if he just would of been straight up with him from the start. He didn't like the sneaky way it was handled, and was also hurt that Angle was talking to Vince about their private conversations.
Actually it wasn't a title match just a clean win for Rock. The story starts on page 94 of "Death Clutch" Hardcover if you are interested.
