    3 things a single man should work on before getting in a relationship.
    1. Work on temperment/Handle your emotions
    2. Confident
    3. Being A good steward over your finances

      This conversation is sad to me. Men not feeling heard, men not feeling safe enough to share their heart and vulnerability. This is BAD!! In a relationship neither of us should feel like we have to go through things alone. We are supposed to be a TEAM. Happy SPOUSE Happy house!!

    Men are realizing that we have value outside of being wallets, bodyguards and therapists & alot of people do not like that. We ask for more because we realise that we want to be valued for things outside of what we are "supposed" to be doing.

    As a dude, expressing your emotions is important…we tend to keep everything on the inside and then when something crazy happens, all the emotions come out. I know that happens with me a lot. I’m trying to be more open with my emotions and sticking to who I am fr fr…great stuff fellas💯

      @@robherringjr5018 yup and i believe in it. Im just saying men and women today play so many games and have so much lack of respect for each other that they can’t get out of their own way to find happiness in each other. And i just wouldn’t do well dealing with people like that 24/7 when i bring realness and love to the table. Thats my point

      @@curlygirl9023 you're talking about a small amount of guys that do women wrong. More women create fuckboys and players then men create damaged women. There's a ton of men that get passed up by you women all the time but y'all never give as much time as you give the other type of guys that you mess with. I think women need to learn how to communicate to the educated brother or some of the men y'all put in the friend zone and see what you get out of that if you actually put the work in

      @@robherringjr5018 ummm no no we not going to go there and blame mostly women. There is equal blame on both sides... the issue is the influences from music, tv, etc. that has young men and women today out here trippin’.... it could all be so simple, you meet someone you like, you get to know them but along the way show that you are interested in her and she can either accept or let you know shes not interested. From there yall date a few times... at that point yall should be ready to make it official and move forward with the relationship.. but people today rather meet, hook up... then be in situationships for the next 5-10 years that lead to nothing. Women and men only move the way they do because they are encouraged to be that way. I have never in my life given time to dusty men... and I have never “friend-zoned” a man.... if a man came to me when i was single trying to be coo with me and acted like he was my friend thats not my fault... you can’t just try to manipulate my emotions to make me like you. Just say what your intentions are and if I am not interested then let it be.

    Some women don’t like to take accountability of their action’s in relationship’s. It’s something that i realized in my later 20’s that I couldn’t point the finger to the guy always. Most of the time us as women be the reason why we run a guy off. I’m a great listener but I also will express how I feel as well. Speaking for myself I’m big on compromising things because everyone isn’t always right.

    I agree that many of us grew up hearing 'happy wife, happy life,' but we need to move toward the 'happy spouse, happy house' perspective. Both people matter and both have needs that differ which the other should strive to fulfill.
    That's super jacked up that men feel like their feelings do not matter but I definitely see everything that plays into why men feel that way.

  • @3phillipscp
    @3phillipscp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I agree with majority of the narrative of this dialogue. And as stated men are taught how to “deal” with women, to the contrary I was not taught how to “deal” with a man; yet, I was taught how to respond too his behaviors.

  • @curlygirl9023
    @curlygirl9023 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    Its a huge disservice to BOTH the man and woman for men to deny themselves of showing or expressing their feelings.... because men aren’t good at hiding that they aren’t ok....and it causes friction in the house. It may feel good to have a man who “does everything” for you but at a certain point it doesn’t feel good. I rather work on learning to hear and respect his emotions the same way I want mine to be so we can both benefit. Thats more long lasting to me. It may hurt to hear somethings but its worth it to help keep your man’s mental health strong.

    -See this is the thing, we have expectations for others when we can not hold ourselves accountable to the same things so we need to change that.
    - we should be open to listening to our partners and remember that if and when they are vulnerable, it does not mean they are weak. We are all human who go through the daily struggles of life and have to express this emotion. When we open those lines of communication, things will be so much better in the relationship. Be each other’s safe space!
    -also do not hold partners hostage to their past errors or faults. If you said that you have forgiven them, then let it go but don’t keep reminding them as it’ll get played out and you will not like the outcome of that.
    - if you don’t like something from the jump, let your partner know. Don’t simmer and build up on stuff and out of nowhere go off and they are caught off guard wondering what happened. Communicate as this is what will bring improvement to the relationship.
    - It is okay to be respectfully honest but we have to have boundaries. Agreeing to disagree does not mean being disrespectful of your partner. You can and will have differing opinions but how you resolve it will make the relationship and communication better (you will still like your partner ☺️, which is important)
    - do not blast your partners weaknesses to others. Keep it in the household and if you need help, seek professional help from those who know. What you tell others is what they use against you and your partner.
    - Do not give your partner the responsibility to make you happy or whole etc- it is not fair. Work on you as an individual first then that will make you so much better for everyone else!!!

    Self respect gentlemen every man needs to learn self respect and pass it to their sons. A mans greatest power is to walk away. If we walk away after addressing disrespect AND STAND ON IT DONT SAY ONE THING AND DOUBLE BACK. Women will act right. No arguing, fighting, or forcing. I lead, you follow or go find a man you wanna follow.

    Some women call themselves strong but they're really dominant. It's a mask or buzz word for some that has the true undertone meaning abusive!
    Strong woman which I feel I am a strong woman, and can be flexible, work, still care for home, driven, positive, and can communicate my needs when I'm tired too. I want my partner to be happy and feel appreciated, giving him his love language, just like I want to be too...I don't have to be in charge I'm attractive to partnership and very attracted to a man that can lead. I mean not just say he leads but can produce the plan and we follow through. Some men talk about it, but never make moves, let's be about it.
    There is a difference between disrespectful, dominant/abusive- and strong...

    Primary issue: if a girl grows up in a house without a father, she has no frame of reference what a man is. Many look at men as the enemy. She'll meet a good man and treat him like dirt. She'll meet an a$$hole and crawl on her hands and knees. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a real daddy. You guys on the right track. This relationship issue is very complex from one to the next. What applies to one does not necessarily apply to the other. We have to work on it together. My mom Used to tell Us don’t go to bed being upset with each other. My husband has passed away 9 years now. If he was alive it would be 41 years together. We had disagreements but he would always give a joke and make me laugh. Trust me he made me laugh, even though I call myself not speaking to him. So nothing was kept up for days or weeks. Most times it’s like nothing happened. If visitors should come they would not know that we argued. We treat them cordially. No upset look. So they would never know. These days it’s screaming and shouting. A woman hold her body and not satisfy her man. The problem is that Partners do not include God. Mind U we were not perfect. Money does not make U happy. It’s the good treatment and respect from both parties to each that matters. In the Start of being together we should outline each other’s likes and dislikes. In my case we learn new things good or bad as we go along and correct what needs to be corrected. I know every relationship is not the same.

We lost our son at 19 in the process, and the same year May 16th hit by a car on Newport Richey....So this doesn't apply to all... I can keep going I could have ran 🏃‍♂️ 😩 So this don't apply to all.

    I enjoy hearing there perspective and I listen
    To understand their perspective, but it’s hard to understand their perspective overall from their current examples and previous examples presented, because they constantly contradict
    Themselves.
    Moral of the story listen to your partner for understanding to make things better. An analogy: when your partner is expressing themselves look at it as they are starting to drown and you are blind folded. You are right beside them but too much of the wrong movements cause both of you to lose your footing. listen to your partner to understand where they are and work with them to make
    Things right. Sometimes you have to learn to
    Not hear things as blame or that you have done something wrong and work to make things better.
