That’s cute that Sally thinks we might have a stash of leftover uneaten cookies and candy bars sitting in our cupboards. Hah! Not here. 😜 Thanks for sharing this with us. I hope you are all well there.
Yeah, if only I had stashed marshmallows, 3 types of biscuits, tons of chocolate and golden syrup and MMs and those marshmallow rices crisps (!!!) and nuts and lets not forget the chocolate and the cream. To me, that looked like Giani Rodari's Pizza in the Sky. I'm so going to make this the moment I buy enough sweets.
Not had a fridge cake in years definitely need to change that. Got the double choc and birthday cake cookie kits the other day, amazing. Thank you all so much placed another 2 separate orders in today they’re the best quality of cookies I’ve ever tasted. Took some into work you guys are amazing
I think the way she's going about it is to let people really realise they can use anything not just the generic marshmallows and biscuits. Both are equally delicious no doubt 😅
Hey Sally, always good to see you lovely. You, like Jemma are a true inspiration, and it's easy to see just how much you love your job. Take care and stay safe. Best wishes to Jemma. Great recipe.
my mom's family made a "cake" like this when they were stuck in the middle of a war. It's cool to see how humans can make the most out of what they had.
@@mindfulbaking I don't think it's impressive necessarily. Just people trying to find some joy in a similar way. They didn't have chocolate or lots of butter. They used cocoa powder instead and lots of broken vanilla biscuits and cereal. Same chocolate fridge cake though!
@sallydells you're way to freaking cute!! You're like a little ray of sunshine during this time!! I've got a recipe that my mom showed us when we were younger, we called them junk cookies!! Yummm they're sooo sooo delish! This reminds me of that. But I think I would call it junk easy fudge? 🤔 What a great recipe for littles! I think to sweet for me, but the littles and youngers would adore this recipe!! Now y'all stay healthy and safe!! Give Jemma a big hug and kiss from Orting, Washington USA ❤️❤️💋🙏✝️🙋♀️❤️
That little step and shimmy when you bit into the fridge cake Sally was adorable. I made my version (called it clean out the cupboard cake) with white chocolate, pecans, Kit Kat bars and sweetened coconut.
I tried these and boy were they good such a great idea.they came out great and super scrumptious definitely will make these again definitely suggest trying these.
Thanks Sally....lovely recipe.:D I think your recipe looks a lot tastier and less sickly sweet than a condensed milk version I've been using for fridge cake. Easier too. Love to you Jemma!
Looks scrumptious. Salted nuts would be good too. I think this will be a nice treat just after Christmas to use up all the odd chocolates, biscuits, pretzels and nuts etc that are left over and need using up 😋. New Year Cake! could start a new trend 😃
This fridge cake is similar to what we have here in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore. We called this Kek Batik (Batik Cake) but instead of using chocolate we use milo powder and condensed milk for the sweetness, we also use marie biscuit. Now the recipe has evolved some were made with yam/ube and cheese.
I soak different nuts and raisins in rum or maybe whisky liqueur and add that to the mix, especially nice with a dark chocolate. Keeping the chocolate quite thin, nice for presents.
hey cupcake jemma loving your vlog the lock down fridge cake looks really yummy i have orderd one off your kits cant wait to get it lots love to everyone xxxxxx
Hi you guys. I hope you are all well and keeping safe. I have just one question. There are apparently 45 morons who don’t like this video. What kind of absolute twats are these individuals? (I won’t call them people!). They just give a thumbs down. They do not even have the honesty to post a comment saying what they don’t like. I just quite simply can’t stand this kind of ignorant behavior. Keep strong Jemma and team. Lot’s of love!
Hmmm. , If I make this it has to be a little less decadent ... My pantry is fairly well-stocked. So, cookies and marshmallows are a must, but I might use pretzels, slivered almonds, 3 or 4 shades od brightly colored unsweetened coconut and Maldon salt. Even if I don't make it, It was fun to think about it. Good video. Stay safe, keep having fun and please, give me more content. 😷🤪📷
I’m not sure if you can freeze this recipe but you can freeze loads of them and then just pop it in the microwave for a minute to warm it up. I do that with muffins, cupcakes, baked cookies
If I'm making a coffee cake with caramel icing, what can I top the cake off with? Is chocolate a good option? Or a dust off cocoa powder or anything else?
I do one with miniature marshmallows, pistachios and white chocolate chips, my take on a rocky road fudge, you can also replace the butter with condensed milk 😊
Looks so good!! Genuine question: does fudge exist in the UK? Because this is definitely what Americans (or at least this American) would call no-bake fudge

😜😜😜😜😜
Hahaha yeah ok, you might need to buy some cookies
Sally Dells Gosh, I guess I’ll have to add them to my next shopping list, (which is definitely NOT a hardship). 😂
Yeah, if only I had stashed marshmallows, 3 types of biscuits, tons of chocolate and golden syrup and MMs and those marshmallow rices crisps (!!!) and nuts and lets not forget the chocolate and the cream. I know! Leftover chocolate is not possible in my family and I'm the worst culprit cos I have no willpower.
Not had a fridge cake in years definitely need to change that. Got the double choc and birthday cake cookie kits the other day, amazing. Thank you all so much placed another 2 separate orders in today they’re the best quality of cookies I’ve ever tasted. Took some into work you guys are amazing
This is good ol' Rocky Roads.
Exactly what I was thinking haha
Was thinking the same...
I thought of Rocky Road too and was wondering if someone else would comment with this 😋 Yummmmmm none the less!

I’m not sure how I feel about calling this a “cake”. It looks decadent, none the less.
not really a cake at all...candy for sure
You can call it whatever you like x

More like a Rocky Road chocolate bar
It might be no-bake but it's no-fake, and looks like a *piece of cake* to make!

Looks so good!! Genuine question: does fudge exist in the UK? Because this is definitely what Americans (or at least this American) would call no-bake fudge
We do have fudge yes, but its more of a sticky toffee type sweet
Our fudge is alot sweeter and richer :)
