Probably he most elegant hand crafted camera slider I've seen on the tube. A testament of you supreme ability. The design in full grain hardwood and the video are sweet.
I'm just gonna download this video so I can watch it again whenever I want... This is just divine...finished...done. You deserve so much more subs & views...
Dude! The little graphic in the lower right that shows what part of the slider you're currently working on is amazing--such an awesome idea for following along! Cannot wait to build this...
This just great. I was about to design and build my own top-tier-like slider. I was looking through youtube about sliders and significant details. But now I think I'll be ok with wooden thing and bearings from hardware store. Your video has a good point.
Everyone keeps commenting on the video production quality (which I'll admit is excellent.) But we all came here for the build. This is a very well done, very stable and robust piece. I'll admit, I always question the accuracy of centering things like washers and such by hand. But you seem to have done a great job.
This video is insane, there are no words to describe the beauty of the detail, effort and amount of work that has gone through every bit of this creation...Big ups dude, keep up the good work God Bless
I do almost never comment on yt vids, but I have to now. This is one of the best I've seen. Why this don't have 100.000 views, I can not understand. This vid actually make me want to make more yt videos, and high quality ones...
You truly set a high bar my friend... This is one the finest build videos I've ever seen. If I had only one word to describe you work. I would choose, Jedi.
Many thx, I appreciate it. To be honest, I would love to be one of those TH-cam Creators, who produces gernerally less, but then the best quality I could possibly achieve. The problem is, that it is so frustrating to see a video, I spent months to create, getting just a few hundred hits.
Rideable Entertainment COMMENTS Yeah there's way too many people going for low quality high output vids on yt but I really appreciate your high quality. I found my way here from Indestructibles and now you have a new sub. 👍
I'm going to say I love the way this one looks and works. Adding in a way to use a drill to give it motion a brilliant as well. But being the mad scientist I am I do see some room for improvement. With a stepper motor, some limit switches, a timing belt and, a controller like an Arduino. You could have this doing the exact same motion repeatedly over and over. With a little tweaking on the camera mount as well you could even do Motorized pan and tilt. Probably for way less than a production slider. Absolutely awesome video and it leave plenty of room for improvement as needed.
You sir deserve so many more subscribers than you currently have! I tried before to figure out a way of how to motorize a slider for cheap and without having to build some motor and all but it is an ingenious idea to use a power drill! I want to make this or something like this so badly. It has been an honor and a pleasure to watch this and I am so excited to check out some of your other videos! Keep doing what you love because your good at it. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Thanks again for your great content. Subscribed!
I used final Cut pro X and LUTs for the grading, but I cut have done the same in Premiere Pro. Actually my Smart Monitor Stand has been cut in Premiere Pro. Google "Luts for Color" Grading and you will find some Free Luts that might work for you projects as well.
I've subbed because of your modesty. I honestly was surprised by your video, you seem to have good wood working skills then when you was drilling at a angle I couldn't believe what I was watching. But a lovely rock solid base you have!!
@@OAbbas I started studying civil engineering and working as a web designer. So the time is limited at the moment. But the day will come, when I will make more videos.
Great job, gave me the inspiration to build something like this as a gift for my Compadre, who´s a photographer and one of my best friends. Thank you for your time and effort and specially for sharing your great idea.
Trabalho de ótima qualidade!! Cara tô aqui no Brasil admirado com a qualidade e do seu trabalho tanto no projeto quanto na produção do vídeo!! Parabéns
Also, mal ehrlich!
So I get this question quite a lot. The problem is, that there is not one single effect. I made this animation by myself in After effects. The colour cloud that floats in is from a video I found online. I set the Background to an Alpha channel (makes it transparent) and then animated everything, that the text underneath will appear with the colour clouds movement. I even managed to change the colour, to give every Scene an individual Touch: Here are all of the Text Scenes: 0:48, 1:22, 2:43, 3:18. I used a Similar Effect for the short Intro Scene in my "Ink in Water" Video.
Great video and amazing DIY. Beautiful woodworking skills too!. I'm going to build my own 4' motorized slider for my FS7 rig using a high hat, skateboard wheels and aluminum rails based on your design. Love the cordless drill motor. Great idea and craftsmanship!

It is a 1,5 mm thick string from a DIY store. It is pretty durable. Make sure the active bearing, that drives the string has enough grip. I achieved this with a strip of sandpaper fixed with double sided duct tape: 2:33. Make sure the bearing on the other side has enough adjustable space, that the string has enough tension, which is key in my mechanism. You can see me doing this in the intro at: 0:16. Just in case you have more questions, check out my complete blogpost or feel free to ask me :) www.instructables.com/id/The-ULTIMATE-DIY-Camera-Slider/

I liked seeing the raw footage shots. Nobody else does that! Thank you.
That is some quality stuff right there. Both the slider build AND the production covering it. Well done - keep going!
I'm just gonna download this video so I can watch it again whenever I want... This is just divine...finished...done. You deserve so much more subs & views...
i did the same just to watch it over and over again
me too kkk. Awesome job!

Your video has a good point.
Impressive the quality of the project and the realization of the video, the effect of smoke in the titles fascinates me, my most sincere admiration.
I thank you and highly appreciate your feedback.
Even the untouched raw footage is still pretty good. The vibration was pretty minimal if not invisible. Nice job.

will u tell me that at 1:23 the text which u used, how u made that? I mean its amazing. which effect u used for text nd colors?

I don't know where exactly it is from. Check your TH-cam Private Messages. I will send you a dropbox link with the Colour-cloud original footage.
