Poker Face was also used by a cartoon show might have been Silverhawks so might have been copyright. DC Comics had a Spider Girl before Marvel Comics but now Marvel Comics has copyright. DC Spidergirl had long red hair she wraps around her foes and appeared before Marvel Comics Medusa which does the same thing, DC Comic later changed Spider Girl name to Wave or maybe it was Weave. Medusa is name from Greek mythology so can use name just don't have be same as Marvel Version or Clash of the Titans movie version which are both different than mythology version which did not have a snake tail as the movie and instead of long hair it had snakes or something resembling snakes coming from head.
The fact that a character called "Mr. Crime" exist and is free to use made my day ; but the fact that he seems to be actually interesting and have some depth just made my entire week.
I'd personally change the jingler concept a little and make it so he does not actually commit any murders. Instead he digs information from local organized criminal world about the recent murders and leaves his poems at where the bodies are hidden. That way he tangles the trail of investigation, helping his informators AND gets everyone to talk about him.
Maybe he could encode it and put out a cipher in the newspaper, motivating everyone to translate and read his poems, only for it to be the most basic Third Grader material

I used to listen to a podcast called Hard Reboot, in which three lovable goofs would take public domain properties, decide on medium/genre for them, and then make a reboot pitch for them. I would honestly LOVE to see you do something like that because it's so amazing to have folks dig up the public domain.

Okay, so regarding the Jingler, there's an event in another media which he could be tied to pretty seamlessly. This is gonna be a massive trajectory twist to somewhere you probably have never been as a watcher of media but.....Minecraft, Hermitcraft SMP, season 6, had a mystery over who on the server was the mysterious Jingler, whos only crimes were leaving signs and books in random places saying "You've Been Jingled". If we take this original Jingler as context, then the Hermitcraft version is basically watered down for a younger audience, where there's no murders actually happening and instead it is just harmless goofs. Since season 6 ended 2 years ago, and recently the identity of the Jingler was revealed at the servers 10 year anniversary, I wouldn't be surprised if there is already fanfiction of the Jingler. Though it may be more sherlock inspired, as those trying to figure out the Jingler's identity performed as Homes and Watson to investigate. Ya never thought you'd have this close a connection to obscure minecraft stuff did ya?

However, Gus had offered a pretty penny and the man couldn't refuse. We're talking about hundreds of dollars! And when your an old fashioned crook who's schemes always failed, you needed the money. Gus smiled, manically scrambling to get something out his pockets. "So glad you're here Dan, listen, you see that guy in there?" Gus rushed to Dan, pulling him closer to see. After a pause, with Dan's pointy nose making an indent on the window, he responded. "Yes, a buffoon with a pen. What of it?" Clearly Dan didn't watch Two Professional Writers. "I just need you to steal his book." Gus said, beginning to make a way inside Chuck Wendigs home. "That's all?" Dan was skeptical. There had to be a catch. Perhaps this man could run as fast as the road runner. Perhaps he was a superhero? "Yea. I would do it, have once actually, but he almost sued me. Can't afford to do that again." Gus responded, making a few texts to someone. Henry. He was just letting him know he was fine. Lying a bit, telling his friend that he was at home rewatching Hereditary. Dan smiled. A wide, devious smile. "Then I'll steal it," Dan said, crawling into the entrance Gus had made for him, "No one will ever know..." He whispered his iconic phrase, slinking into Chuck Wendigs home.

In Dan Backslide was a very, VERY big hole in his heart which caused him a great deal of pain -- doctors across the land had looked at his heart and been completely at a loss for a cause. But Dan Backslide knew that this hole could not be filled by doctors (except for the friskier ones, and even then just momentarily) because in that very, very big hole in his heart was the Dover Boys. Dan Backslide sighed. He sounded very defeated, and defeated he was. "Dover Boys... trounced yet again by their cruel wit and cunning! Oh, how I hate them. How they drink me to drive!" Then, reaching into his sizeable (and incredibly fashionable) overcoat, he pulled out a thesaurus, thumbing through it pages until... "--BESCRIMMAGE me! Oh, how I suffer at the hands of Tom... the foot of Larry... the, er... and DICK, too! Oh... OH...!" "Hey, bub!" yelled the half-empty bartender. The tails of Dan Backslide's sizeable (and incredibly fashionable) overcoat were sizeable indeed, so much so that they rolled out across the ground while he sat high on his barstool. They were long, yes, but they were thin and brightly colored, one was hardly able to miss them. This man who had just stepped in trampled both tails of Dan Backslide's overcoat in quick succession. Dan Backslide was pissed. His face twisted to that of a horse being churned alive into glue. As this newcomer walked around to the seat right next to Dan and his now-empty bartender. such a face followed him until he finally sat down. "My overcoat!" he shouted. "My sizeable (and incredibly fashionable) overcoat! I only wear that on Fridays -- it's all I have to wear by then!" _"And what are you going to do about it?"_ said the newcomer. It was only then Dan got a look at this disrespectful character: skin paler than a ghost's, fangs like a goblins, ears as pointed as an elf's, and a nose as long and crooked as Dan Backslide's. He quickly shook off his awe at the figure and held up a couple of fists (they were his own, this time). "I slug you one good, I will! I'll give ya the ol' one-two, I say! What are you waitin' for, big fella? Too chicken to go for-to-toe with someone your own size?" Dan Backslide hopped off his stool, barely reaching the white man's chest in height. The green-skinned man with a belly full of bartender felt his heart swell a bit, and the hole was just that little bit fuller. _"...have a reputation!?"_ He wept with joy. Basically, my version is a malicious spirit that was once a seemingly all-powerful crime boss who puppeted the police and politicians and ruled over the city with an iron fist, until one day, he got involved in a gang war where he lost his life, and became an evil known as a Crime Lord, which rules over crime and violence, and is basically manipulating the living and the accursed dead like him to rule as an undying Crime Lord who's power and presence can be felt all over the city.
Mr. Crime would make for a really good Batman villain as some sort of parasite like villain that makes people commit crimes against their will so it can reap their rewards without be ing the one to face the consequences, atleast until they face of against Batman

Under Berne Convention, copyright is life of author plus 70 years after year of death. For example, Robert Frost died in 1963, therefore his poetry is under copyright until December 31, 2033. Don't quote more than a line or so from any of his poems in order to avoid a cease and desist letter from his estate until January 1, 2034.

However, the audio quality is really rough, where it's kinda hard for me to hear what you're saying; I'm slightly hard of hearing, but the vast majority of your videos, especially your newer ones, are no issue for me. Dunno if something went wrong software-wise, or if it's to do with the setup with the mic and camera (since most of your newer videos don't use a camera).

In a town, there was a street.
On that street was a bar.
In that bar was Dan Backslide.
In Dan Backslide was a very, VERY big hole in his heart which caused him a great deal of pain -- doctors across the land had looked at his heart and been completely at a loss for a cause. But Dan Backslide knew that this hole could not be filled by doctors (except for the friskier ones, and even then just momentarily) because in that very, very big hole in his heart was the Dover Boys.
Dan Backslide sighed. He sounded very defeated, and defeated he was.
"Dover Boys... trounced yet again by their cruel wit and cunning! Oh, how I hate them. How they drink me to drive!" He thought back to the time they invited him to a tavern of respectable repute, but made _him_ their designated driver when they all took shots before him. _The nerve!_ In fact, he needed a drink for himself just thinking about it!
He held a finger in the air to signal the bar staff, frightening everyone else in the bar. Who he got that finger from, no one could tell.
"Milkshake, bartender!" he said. Milk shook the bartender and slid him across the counter to Dan Backslide. Dan Backslide stared at the shaken bartender in confusion. He rolled his eyes. "And this all before I start drinking..."
Eventually, Dan Backslide shrugged it off and started drinking the bartender.
"Oh, those Dover Boys," he moaned, putting the bartender down. "Oh, how they punish me! Oh, how they torture and torment me! Oh, how they vex and befuddled amd confound and--!"
His face went blank. Curiously, he tapped his chin for a minute. Then, reaching into his sizeable (and incredibly fashionable) overcoat, he pulled out a thesaurus, thumbing through it pages until...
"--BESCRIMMAGE me! Oh, how I suffer at the hands of Tom... the foot of Larry... the, er... and DICK, too! Oh... OH...!"
"Hey, bub!" yelled the half-empty bartender. "You keep moanin' like dat an' I'm gonna haff ta t'row yuh's out!"
"But... you're my drink!"
"I'm still da bartender, ain't I? An' I can still bar-tenderize ya!"
Dan Backsighed slide.
"Must _everything_ remind me of those confounded Dover Boys?"
The door to the bar of less-than-savory repute opened. This by itself went unnoticed by Dan Backslide in his depression, yet he became increasingly wary of the man who walked in from it, though his eyes were not yet upon him.
The tails of Dan Backslide's sizeable (and incredibly fashionable) overcoat were sizeable indeed, so much so that they rolled out across the ground while he sat high on his barstool. They were long, yes, but they were thin and brightly colored, one was hardly able to miss them.
This man who had just stepped in trampled both tails of Dan Backslide's overcoat in quick succession.
Dan Backslide was pissed. His face twisted to that of a horse being churned alive into glue. As this newcomer walked around to the seat right next to Dan and his now-empty bartender. such a face followed him until he finally sat down.
"My overcoat!" he shouted. "My sizeable (and incredibly fashionable) overcoat! I only wear that on Fridays -- it's all I have to wear by then!"
_"And what are you going to do about it?"_ said the newcomer.
It was only then Dan got a look at this disrespectful character: skin paler than a ghost's, fangs like a goblins, ears as pointed as an elf's, and a nose as long and crooked as Dan Backslide's. He wore white robes and white top hat reading "crime" across the top in black letters. Never before had Dan Backslide seen such an incredibly handsome (and fashionable) face before!
He quickly shook off his awe at the figure and held up a couple of fists (they were his own, this time). "I slug you one good, I will! I'll give ya the ol' one-two, I say! What are you waitin' for, big fella? Too chicken to go for-to-toe with someone your own size?"
Dan Backslide hopped off his stool, barely reaching the white man's chest in height.
The figure just laughed.
"Mr. Backslide, I'm not here to fight you. If anything, I'm here because your reputation proceeds you!"
"I..." The green-skinned man with a belly full of bartender felt his heart swell a bit, and the hole was just that little bit fuller. _"...have a reputation!?"_ He wept with joy.
"But, ah, if I may be so bold..."
"Oh, don't be so thick, of course you may!"
"...you need guidance. Someone who's been in the game longer than you, perhaps a _team_ of individuals for you to teach and learn from."
"Oh?" The crest of Dan Backslide's brow furrowed. "And who might you be, to offer such a proposal?"
The white man sneared.
"Did you know _crime_ was named after a _person?"_

I actually have an idea of my own with him. Basically, my version is a malicious spirit that was once a seemingly all-powerful crime boss who puppeted the police and politicians and ruled over the city with an iron fist, until one day, he got involved in a gang war where he lost his life, and became an evil known as a Crime Lord, which rules over crime and violence, and is basically manipulating the living and the accursed dead like him to rule as an undying Crime Lord who's power and presence can be felt all over the city.
He would make a great ruthless Daredevil villain, Mr.Crime.

Under Berne Convention, copyright is life of author plus 70 years after year of death. For example, Robert Frost died in 1963, therefore his poetry is under copyright until December 31, 2033. However, the audio quality is really rough, where it's kinda hard for me to hear what you're saying; I'm slightly hard of hearing, but the vast majority of your videos, especially your newer ones, are no issue for me. Dunno if something went wrong software-wise, or if it's to do with the setup with the mic and camera (since most of your newer videos don't use a camera).
