    Simethicone / Infacol drops is the product I put in the water is reduce bubbles - Optional.
    The spray surfactant is a dilute mix of water and regular dish washing detergent (approx 1/2 a teaspoon to a cup of water). Surfactants are chemical compounds that decrease the surface tension or interfacial tension between two liquids, a liquid and a gas, or a liquid and a solid.
    “What powder do I buy to make the Art Stones?”
    What mix you use depends on your location and what you have available. Many different casting plasters work well.
    I like using Ultracal 30. Unfortunately, in some places it can be hard to get or expensive. Please note there is a downloadable data sheet on my website with the mixing quantities for Ultracal 30 for each mold and stone dimensions (the same ratios work for Perfect Cast). www.happydottingcompany.com
    Some alternative casting plasters include -
    USA/Canada - Perfect Cast, Rapid set Mortar mix from Home depot, Quikrete, Mapei, Dental Stone powder, Hydrocal powders,
    In the UK - Crystacast or Herculite Stone,
    In Aust and NZ. I buy my Ultracal 30 from Barnes (a shop in Woolloongabba, Brisbane) - I believe they have other outlets. Another good option is Casting Plaster by Gyprock from Bunnings (see free mix sheet for this on our website) or Dental plaster by Gyprock (by special order from Bunnings). Sometimes these products only come in big bags but then it’s very economical.

    Love this video! Can you place the castings in a low oven to dry them quicker?

    I just received the heart mold and did not realize that I had to use casting powder. I always use Rapid Set Concrete. Is that ok to use on your molds?

      That’s no problem. Yes the Rapid set concrete will work well. Anjela 😊

    Where can i get that recipe sheet for the different cement recipies

    • @HappyDottingCompany
      @HappyDottingCompany  หลายเดือนก่อน

      There isn't any for cement powders - mostly people in the USA I see use them and I don't have access to them (I'm in Brisbane, Australia). Having said that I'm travelling to the USA in September and hope to get some and work them out. :)

    What was the name of the cement

    • @HappyDottingCompany
      @HappyDottingCompany  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The one I've heard of is Rapid set - Cementall brand. But I haven't used it myself. There's comments about cement mixes in the pinned post on our Happy Dotting Company FB page.
