For those not knowing GG lore, Kum is the teenage girl manning the mech suit. She comes from a line of tuners who have the power to manipulate the world. So she basically makes it so you cant do anything and all she needs to do is flick you with the mech to send you flying.

Pause at 8:14 and then use the > key on your keyboard to go frame by frame into 8:15. As you go through, though there is a heavy jump between one frame and the next you can see the top of the tie and then in the next frame you see the bottom showing that it's not just a ritual ribbon around his neck.
He gave Answer a 10/10 but not Baiken. He gave just an animation of Orochimaru swallowing up Sasuke a 10/10 but not whatever Baiken did with that whole cinematic with it being slashed. What a weirdo. lol

I came in fully expecting Faust to get a 10 out of 10, but I think Max already played it out the last time him and Yo Videogames went through all the Destroys.

Sin's IK gains 2 full points in my book when you use it on Ky (his dad), because when he's tackling him, Sin says "Give me more! I want everything!" and Ky responds with "You take after your mother"
I already knew answer was getting a 10. They actually gave him extra animation & camera work for his landing & the snake disappearing after the actual finishing attack was landed. I wish they did it for everyone
The fact each character has like...3 different lines they can say as he does it is pretty cool. Same for miss Love Bullet..I find Baiken's reactions to the bullet the funniest.
I love my little boy, but the fact he can sometimes flat out admit he doesn't know what he's doing when he uses his IK... I suppose he just flies by the seat of his pants.
Not to mention that she actually uses physics ("Overriding drag coefficient") for that nuke divekick. Makes sense in the lore since Aria was a huge physics nerd and Jack-O is part Aria
@@HoodWeegee Jack-O is the clone with the most of Aria’s DNA to almost the point of being an exact copy. Story wise Sol thought Aria came back from the dead when he saw her face. The other Valentines are like younger sisters to her.
Personally, what I like about May's Destroyed move is that each character has something different to say about the situation. I like their unique responses. Even better, each character has more than one such reaction!
totally agree man..can't wait for a release date..I'm gonna hate it if they have a collector's edition for it..I blew my self imposed limit of 2 big collector's editions a year already. Got First Class FF7 remake preordered and Cyberpunk 2077 too..and they come out fairly close to each other at the first quarter of the year.

My problem with alot of the insta kills is that they lack impact, like Johnny's miss that satisfying hit sound or anything like that. Baiken got it right with the blood and all the things around falling over, with that satisfying shing sound
Chiramijumaru Baiken is a really badass character. I would love to see her as a guest character in a fighting game, possibly soul calibur or some other fighting game
@@Hitorio She's easily one of, if not the most badass female characters in video games, with a unique concept of being one of the last few Japanese people in the future, she has all these badass quotes and crazy hidden weapons where her arm should be, she's missing an arm and eye yet can still keep up with the rest of the characters no problem, and she's one of the few female characters in games who just happens to be attractive, instead of it being a main character trait.
Faust's destroy was excellent. I feel like the best ones are those that actually convey the character well while still showcasing something interesting to see, which I feel Faust's did really well.
As you may know Maximillian, Raven's a masochist, so when he made that face in 17:21, he's literally like "WTF? LET THAT HIT ME SO THAT I MAY KNOW HOW THAT HURTS!"
Even if it is an anime fighter a rate the super of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 could be awesome, that game has some incredible supers and combined supers.
Naw man..you wanna talk about epic supers in Naruto? Go back to the PS2 days with the Ultimate Ninja series..especially 3 to 5..3 for some of the classic ones and 5 for the bonkers ones. In 5 they came up with some right bangers for characters that don't have much going for them due to lack of screen time..Shino has one that is downright terrifying in concept..especially if you hate bugs.

@@Jackpot2027 I'm just more disappointed in how short they became from back on the PS2 era of games..yeah I get that with better graphics and more characters they had to get a little shorter..but I'll give you 4 had some of the better ones..ESPECIALLY the team supers, they got length and good visuals. I actually traded in Storm 1-4 (minus generations) as I was hoping to get my hands on a hard copy of the collection on ps4..but that game is hard as balls to get..so I'm gonna get the Storm 4 Boruto hard copy when I can find it since it has all the DLC..and it's usually on discount when I see it on the Gamestop site.
I'd agree, but it'll most likely turn out like the Jump Force video. Many supers would look underwhelming or stupid if you don't understand the references.
I was checking these out since I was never into this series and was thinking of trying the new one. It’s funny how much these range between the coolest thing I’ve ever seen and something I’d forget immediately after it’s over.
I don’t know a lot of them don’t have a lot of impact, so if you put them in fighterz they win in the creativity department but the impact just isn’t there
I'm glad they seem to have learned how to make a proper payoff animation with the later characters. It was probably time constraints or limited experience with the engine at the time but man do so many of those early game insta-kills end up going flat because of a lack of exciting foleys or visuals.
maybe Max didn't see it, but Baiken cut everything through. From the front stature / lamp to the entire building It's just awesome and brutal.I agree that a powerful punch is never as cool as many, but there is one exception and that is exactly the exception. And in the end, even the shot on Baiken is the cherry on the cream cake. It just has to be a 10/10. The other Supers hardly had that much impact, let alone fan service
Coming back to this I remeber this being my first exposer to the Guilty Gear franchise, I remeber never knowing that it even existed! Now what can I say except... Thank you Max... Thank you for making this video, thank you for showing me this game, this world, these characters that I now love. I became a fan the more I kept coming back to either this channel or just other sources of Guilty Gear ...and I owe it all to you ...and special props to TH-cam for recommending this to me a year ago I think but still... Its all pacing, sense of climax, and personality compatibility. Like Axl rushed the shit out of it when he didnt in the 2d version. And they could have even done a joke where he's blown forward by it. Meanwhile feels like one final kick interrupted by the fact she still remembers her legacy is a broken restaurant. Comedically interrupted, fits the character, camera really sells that she just ripped through with that kick.

It's just for me personally, all the camera work and comedic timing in the world can't hide the fact that Jam's ultimate finishing move is a single flying kick, of which she does like 50 per match.

My problem with alot of the insta kills is that they lack impact, like Johnny's miss that satisfying hit sound or anything like that. Baiken got it right with the blood and all the things around falling over, with that satisfying shing sound
The best part about Baiken's IK is that you can hear a shamisen play along with the rock ost of the IK. It's a nice unique touch.
Now imagine Jack-O doing foot dives infinitely like that.

@@Hitorio She's easily one of, if not the most badass female characters in video games, with a unique concept of being one of the last few Japanese people in the future, she has all these badass quotes and crazy hidden weapons where her arm should be, she's missing an arm and eye yet can still keep up with the rest of the characters no problem, and she's one of the few female characters in games who just happens to be attractive, instead of it being a main character trait.

All of the supers from the Guilty Gear Xrd series looks really good. I wish they'd make a Guilty Gear collection on disc for the PS4.
I'd be down for that...I missed GG on PS1 so I didn't get to play the VERY first game in the series..I came in at GGX on PS2.

Even if it is an anime fighter a rate the super of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 could be awesome, that game has some incredible supers and combined supers.
I was hoping he did a feature on this, especially for the first game, which had a lot more fun with its supers.

Naw man..you wanna talk about epic supers in Naruto? Go back to the PS2 days with the Ultimate Ninja series..especially 3 to 5..3 for some of the classic ones and 5 for the bonkers ones. In 5 they came up with some right bangers for characters that don't have much going for them due to lack of screen time..Shino has one that is downright terrifying in concept..especially if you hate bugs.

@@Jackpot2027 I'm just more disappointed in how short they became from back on the PS2 era of games..yeah I get that with better graphics and more characters they had to get a little shorter..but I'll give you 4 had some of the better ones..ESPECIALLY the team supers, they got length and good visuals. I actually traded in Storm 1-4 (minus generations) as I was hoping to get my hands on a hard copy of the collection on ps4..but that game is hard as balls to get..so I'm gonna get the Storm 4 Boruto hard copy when I can find it since it has all the DLC..and it's usually on discount when I see it on the Gamestop site.

I don’t know a lot of them don’t have a lot of impact, so if you put them in fighterz they win in the creativity department but the impact just isn’t there

I'm glad they seem to have learned how to make a proper payoff animation with the later characters. It was probably time constraints or limited experience with the engine at the time but man do so many of those early game insta-kills end up going flat because of a lack of exciting foleys or visuals.
I kinda wish Chips super showed the lightning crawl up through the Shuriken, I think that'd add a little bit extra to the style

maybe Max didn't see it, but Baiken cut everything through. From the front stature / lamp to the entire building
It's just awesome and brutal.I agree that a powerful punch is never as cool as many, but there is one exception and that is exactly the exception. And in the end, even the shot on Baiken is the cherry on the cream cake.
It just has to be a 10/10. The other Supers hardly had that much impact, let alone fan service

Coming back to this I remeber this being my first exposer to the Guilty Gear franchise, I remeber never knowing that it even existed! Now what can I say except... Thank you Max... Thank you for making this video, thank you for showing me this game, this world, these characters that I now love. I became a fan the more I kept coming back to either this channel or just other sources of Guilty Gear ...and I owe it all to you

Its all pacing, sense of climax, and personality compatibility. Like Axl rushed the shit out of it when he didnt in the 2d version. And they could have even done a joke where he's blown forward by it.
Meanwhile feels like one final kick interrupted by the fact she still remembers her legacy is a broken restaurant. Comedically interrupted, fits the character, camera really sells that she just ripped through with that kick.
@@MintJammer I can respect that logic. As much as I like Axl's super, I'll admit the pacing is a little off and it could've used more buildup.
It's just for me personally, all the camera work and comedic timing in the world can't hide the fact that Jam's ultimate finishing move is a single flying kick, of which she does like 50 per match.
I'm pretty sure May's instant kill has custom lines for every character.

I’m not sure if this is the actual reference, but I like to think that it is.

your missing the best part of the destroy move. remap buttons so R2 is all 4 face buttons, do a command throw, (answer) R2 to cancel it, R2 again to activate instant death, then activate destroy. At critical health it's a cinematic showoff COMBO.
Perhaps in strive they will finally let Sol finish...
