Just heard this song on FUV driving back to NYC, and just love it. Now just listening to a whole bunch of his stuff. What an interesting artist, really dig him.
@Englischtrainer Online Ironically it sounds as if Jeff is producing the traveling Wilburys and it was Tom Petty’s turn to sing but I really think it was a tribute to all of that and that it’s intentional and nonetheless inspiring
New to this artist....immediate thought is his voice sounds like Petty. Great song and will look into more if his material! Y’all have a great day... make the most of it🙂😂
The best Tom Petty song that Tom Petty didn't write! What is not to love indeed.I really like Aaron having checked out the rest of his work after hearing this!
Saw you open up for Butch walker couple months ago and all I could think was damn this dude should be headlining. You're an incredible artist and performer my guy!
Saw ALT for the first time at "Rock the Ridge" on the Minnesota Iron Range after only first checking him out here on YT the day before. Yes, this song surely has Tom Petty influences, but if you listen to the rest of Aaron's stuff, you'll find he's a musician who brings diversity and passion into what he creates. Thank you, ALT, for coming to Biwabik and sharing your talent. For those of us who were there, we really appreciated your time and effort!
Jeez. This flew by me first time I heard it nine months ago. Everyone is talking about how good of a tune this is, or how much this reminds them of Tom Petty. Has yet to see anyone adress how deeply disturbing the lyrics are. It may be retrospective or refering to someone external, but man, if this is not a cry for help, or at least a reference to it, like John Lennon did with help, I don't know what is. If It's just art, I salute you, Aaron. Cause it hit me hard when I actually listened to it. But if it ain't I hope you take care of yourself, man. You're a goddamn beauiful genius!
@@generocha2967 Wow, someone got up on the wrong side of the bed, ha. What song is this a blatant copy of, just curious. Guarantee you Tom, Harry Nilsson, Jeff Lynne & his other influences would appreciate the craft on the albums I mentioned (Haven't heard this newest one yet, just this one track), as no doubt Robert Johnson would appreciate blues artists he obviously influenced, or JJ Cale appreciated Clapton, etc. And, *newsflash*, all of Tasjan's songs don't sound like this. Maybe I'm a bit hyperbolic about Aaron, but maybe check out his albums before you decide someone's a fraud, just a thought. lol
@@paulsnyder851 there is influenced and then there is mimicry. No self respecting musician would release music that steals anothers craft on so many levels. Its like calling Beatlemania genius'.
@@generocha2967 Again, check out the Karma for Cheap and Silver Tears albums and hear what else he can do before you make the blanket declaration he has no self-respect for doing a homage to someone he loved. This is like mixing You Got it Drums with Roy Orbison with Steve Harley and the Cockney Rebels...or is it Tom Petty and One direction s Sign of the times..it's gonna be allright?
Great song, but conflicted at how MUCH this sounds like Tom Petty, especially with his vocal inflections, almost an imitation on top of inspiration. Sounds like it could be a cover song, which is also a testament of his talent to write this song. I really like it though, and have to listen to his other songs.
This song is always playing when I go to target and it’s really shocking how crappy the lyrics are. I feel embarrassed for the other customers in the store having to listen to such an awful song.
This guy should tour with Geta Van Fleet and call it The Imposters Tour. Theres being influenced and then there is ripping off someones sound with no shame.
Well, not all his songs have this much of a Petty sound as this one. He has a mix of influences, Petty, Harrison, Orbison, and his own sound on some tunes, along with a mix of sounds.
@@generocha2967 I have his past few albums, and some of his songs are his own sound. But, almost every artist is influenced by those of the past. I still like his stuff, seen him open for Jason Isbell, liked him since.
this song plays at my job like 20 times a day i hate this song so much its terrible i purposely found this just to comment how awful and such atrocious to listen to it makes my body heat go up when i hear this come on it makes m eso mad and sad and so many negative feelings i wish i could delete this song from existence
This song will forevermore make me happy because YOU & PDX. Jumping up and down on my bed as we speak 💫
The man wears his influences on his sleeve. Love it! Petty, Lynne, little bugs. Haha
Agreed! Then on Another Lonely Night, I hear Elliot Smith and maybe the Beatles. Really like this guy!!
Traveling Wilburys......
Did you happen to notice he wasn’t wearing sleeves toward the end?
Talking heads too
100%!!! so good SO REAL
No idea what genre this is but its so fucking good. New retro wave with country.
Love this
Video gives life to the '80s radio stars...
Came across this artist on spotify. This song
Screams the 80's! 💕
Damn good!
Last year he had my top listened to song on Spotify and now he’s my top artist of 2022. This dude’s worth at least a million!
SO interesting!! Can’t get enough.
Hears this a few hours ago in the hotel lobby before my flight. Gave me some new listening. What a good song
Wow channelling Petty for sure. Even the odd video.
We saw ALT at The Capitol Theater and he was unbelievable, thanks for the new music!

i love everything about this
This song is played every night at my work
ALT is the best! The world needs a lot more of him and a lot less of others lol.
I love ALT's songs as he realized his first album. He's very cool!
Loved the, loved the, really loved the mood and the metric on the lyrics. Awesome new music, thank you!
Really love this song and its attitude toward life. Great work!
ALT is amazing!
Great Song. Keep it up 👍👍👍
Just heard this for the first time in a grocery store parking lot. I like it. 👍
Love the new song. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album when it's released.
I want the new album now!!! Cant wait any more
I'm really looking forward to hearing the rest of the album!
Love this Aaron Lee! 💜💙❤️

Tune! ALT has it all, this bodes well for the upcoming album.

NICE. ❤
Heard ALT on World Cafe tonight! Awesome!
Somehow ended up on a New West Records e-mail list and it lead to me this guy today. Awesome stuff!
New West is the best email list of them all :-) if you're looking for new sounds no one else cares about, they got it
Major Jeff Lynne vibe. I like it!
Lynne mixed in with Tom Petty, kind of like the Traveling Wilburys.
Awesome video
The one anxious energy is one dude having a crap holiday time
Guitars are back, ladies and germs.✌
He’s my favorite...that’s all!
Wowww lol 😆I love this!!!!
Dig the vibe:)
Major League ear worm. Have the CD and like it a lot.

Heavy 'Petty' influence...whats not to like...:)
No going wrong right there

Tom Petty. It's been a while. Still like his style

Travelin Wilburys Rolled into 1
Tom Petty reincarnated
Pretty much what I thought when I heard this! Holy shit, so good.
If Tom Petty was in The Cars
Enjoyed him live
Saw him a few weeks back. Dude is awesome.

E.N.S.A.A.T. also sounds exactly like petty. Ok ima stop now.
A masterful imitation takes talent but not the level of genius of the originator.
Yes but even more like Rodney Crowell ala Fate's Right hand.
Tom Petty would like it

Do you happen to be in Colorado? Because they literally play this at my target 24/7
Listens to Tom Petty once
Why does this still piss me off. Like he couldn't even change his voice to not sound like petty.
This is just a lazy Tom petty imitation down to the production and writing and singing
has copied Tom Pettys sound
