Absolute hero I missed these streams and only had the raw vods saved this translation and the memes make this the greatest collection of videos I’ve seen!!!
Thank you Pekomains for the Pekogear clips man I wasn't around the rabbit hole at that time when Pekora played this game so seeing these moments made me happy.
i always remember every few months to check back on this channel and yep there be another part! translations are always worth the wait, same for all the editing gags and such. very fun! i didn't realize EVA's last words were echoed in the finale. huh. lotta dialogue between then and now great work as always, i never get tired of reliving MGS
The motion capture, the sound design, the cinematography... man, this game still looks fantastic. That river scene is still amazing. For those who never got to see it, there was an online mode of this game where you can play as your own soldier or special characters like Raiden, Vamp, Ocelot, ect. As Ocelot, you could run around with his fingerguns, going "bang bang bang!" It would do things like cause other players to lose control. Metal Gear Online 2 was so much fun~ May it RIP. Anyways, I look forward to the next chapter; am really glad you're showing a bunch of the story.
It's amazing to think two years ago I ran into your first episode of MGS3 and now after all this time we're finally nearing the conclusion to this series. Way to push through and always deliver high quality synopsises of these streams. Would have never been able to experience them without you
I dont comment on videos a lot let alone super thanks, but given the metric fuckton of hours I've spent watching Peko Gear Solid (all games), I feel this is quite literally the least I can do. Thank you for the terrific editing and translating.
You're the best! Lots of care put into the translation, references and editing. Flawless work, always a great watch. I hope she enjoys the Shadow Moses stuff.
Arigatou for the video, but I'm screwed. The tears already started flowing when Eva died which means by the end of the final part, I'll have died of dehydration. This shit gets me everytime. The end of an era. Fuck.

In mid-2020, a bunch of gaming companies issued copyright strikes because Hololive hadn't obtained explicit permission to stream their games. There was some danger of member channels being taken down completely, so management privated a huge number of videos to be safe.
Spoiler warning for MGS 4 & V! 33:30 here for some reason stick out to me, it made me think. Zero wasn't as bad as people might make him to be. In TPP, there's tape that proofs his attempt to reconcile with his old friend Big Boss. He wanted to end this silly and meaningless bloody war through talk and compromise, and rather than fear or hatred towards Big Boss that he wrongly concluded at the end of MGS 4 epilogue, he actually shows regret and remorse about how did it all came to this. To me, Zero was a man that had too much power for his own good, but still also being a reasonable man and still have good will to perhaps his only best friend that he can trust fully. He was unable to talk properly to Big Boss due to his 9 years coma, and much later, Big Boss was unable to speak to Zero because of his vegetative state. And both happen because of one man, Skull Face. If everything, it's all Skull Face faults. If only Zero and Big Boss were able to talk and reconciliate, there won't be Outer Haven Uprising, Zanzibar Land Incident won't even in the possibility, and Solid Snake may live a normal soldier life without the turmoil of those both incidents haunting him.
Sounds a bit too convenient for the plot to have this kind of conflict but I guess it's OK if you buy it. It's easier to understand if it was all just a misunderstanding after all.
@@VashdaCrash I admit, it was a bit convenient plot even for MGS standard. But the message impact is great nonetheless. In MGS 4 it was obvious that Kojima intention of all this mess was "the stubborn old fools that finally seeing it a little bit too late" sort of story. Before, it was ambiguous of what these two really feels towards one another, but it made crystal clear in MGS V that they still consider each other as dear friend. The moral of the story is that if only they cast aside their pride and spoke first, none of those horrible bloody wars would even take place. Mind you, these two are perhaps the most important key figures in MGS Universe, their decisions will impact the world to an extreme degree. A poetic story about one bad decision creates a chain of disasters, preventable, but too blinded by pride and their perverted point of view of The Boss's will.
@@komi-samabeliever7319 I personally think this kind of story, and its moral, doesn't work because of the setting. That's because I believe that wars and conflict to that scale can't be born from personal conflict. It's a myth since pretty much the ancient Greece, and as an amateur in history it looks like there's always a multidimensional problem that leads to war. TD;DR: wars based on misunderstanding are unrealistic imo
38:45 wait, was that actually Big Boss? The same protagonist of the Phantom Pain and Peace Maker? The same last boss from the first Metal Gear?! His mind locked up by *nanomachines*?!?!? Does anybody get thrown off by this kind of stuf? I thought suspension of disbelief had a limit, but I guess one could just switch off critical thinking selectively for the sake of following a plot as long as it goes on.
Rather, those very familiar with MGS lore might benefit from even more critical thinking, but the plot does get pretty convoluted for the average viewer.
All I can say is that this is one of the least silly uses of nanomachines in the series, and when they later reveal more about the situation you'll find it was foreshadowed to some extent.
It's very fun to see that this series is someone's first exposure to MGS4. I hope you've enjoyed the ride so far and I hope you'll keep that disbelief suspended just a bit longer to see this game through to the end
Reviving Peke gear 4 from that was lost from YT... and still keep going... not all heros wear capes
Thanks for the support! I will persist!
@@pekomains You're pretty good
