You have to let Lataffa fragrances macerate and they will smell much better. Spray the bottle 15-20 times and let it sit for several weeks, then retest.
@ChadSecrets my Oud For Glory was only 6 months from production and it smelled like alcohol and chemicals, but after a month or so it smelled way better, and so has other middle eastern fragrances I've had. Great content 👌! Love the reviews
At first I went to try Explorer for the aventus clone experience but loved it for what it was rather than being a clone or “inspiration” of aventus. To each their own!

Turathi blue is very nice indeed. Got Milestone, it took me a couple days to come around to understanding that scent. Really nice summer frag. I have Armaf Untold ( Br540) and Afnan Zimaya The Club on the way. Some are saying it's a twist on Aventus, Aventus Absolu or Hacivat.
Honor and glory for me better quality then sillage and suppsedly not a clone u may get a hint from ah yes it smells like these but nothing really more then 60% so we can say a hybrid but so damn good its a bit sweet you must now these @@troecurov3
Personally i feel that moustache edp is much less ozonic-that fizzy/bubbling feel that you get from tuxedo! much more ambery and sweeter than Tuxedo IMO Glad that you added it to you collection as well! Hyped for Instant crush, loved my decant and am planning to get a bottle when the price is right :).
I need to put them sode by side and then ill be able to see the differences. Its hard to judge based off memory! Instant crush is a great one if you like the br540 style. Very strong!
Lattafa Honor and Glory is Amazing . It smells like to me a blend of Ani and Hacivat ! This is a compliment monster , and for me possibly the best under $50 fragrance I have ever bought !
I have Turathi Blue, it's so great, its a Tygar Clone! Al Oudh is a Fireplace clone with middle eastern twist like with spices. Most Lattafa needs to macerate imo. Also, Suits by Fragrance World smells better than Moustache.
I believe even though Explorer is in the same vein/family of scents as Aventus it's doing it's own thing with more of a Bergamot focus in the opening, and Leather based in the drydown without the Smoky Birch accord. Although it's not as sophisticated, or rich smelling as Aventus or as strong and projecting as CDNIM; it's a solid middle ground option for those who want something more budget friendly. For me I get like 5-6 hours before it fades off which you would hope for better but is passable.
Im testing it non biased and in-depth for a full review over the next couple days. I'll judge it as it is and ill be fair! I do think it's still a great little fragrance
Great review as always. I might bite the bullet on Oud 24 Hours from Ard Al Zaafran since everyone says its like Black Orchid but more suitable for the "unisex" part of it, i would suggest testing it if you can as well if you like TF Black Orchid!

OMG!!! Urinal Cake, THAT is the horrible smell I get from almost all the lattafa after a while! And yeah, I’ve done the spray 10-30 sprays and set the bottle away for a few months …. The only difference is the stench comes after some hours.
Haha yeah, its a weird description word, but it really fits. I really dont like that smell lingering around in there. I really hope it disappears when i let it sit
@@ChadSecrets It’s 100% spot on that smell! My Oud for Glory was all about that stench for the first months, now after a few months it’s not present in the first hours, but after 5-6 intense! I’ve never experienced that with Ameer Al Oudh, that is … now after a few months it's there after 5-6 hours. Hopefully they’re normal in a year? 😛
L'aventure Knight is a better clone of green Irish tweed, when it dries down its near enough spot on. Anyway you should try khadlaj shiyaaka for men in part 3!
Afnan supremacy not only intense is a hybrid between Hacivat , aventus But i wanna suggest lattaFa al nashama (paragon) , nashama Caprices (bleu électric ) , paris corner north stag neuf (mfk grand soir) and expression 2,4 layton and afternoon swim some High quality clones
I've started judging these so called "clone" fragrances on their own merits. If I like it, I no longer care what it is supposed to resemble. Wait a minute, I never did.
I also bought ameer al oudh and that thing you dont like, i also felt it, to me it smelt like plastiky vomit inducing thing, but i let my bottle sit for 3 months i was surprised, that it changed and that thing i hated in the opening almost cleared, let me leave the bottle for more 3 months. Advice give your bottle 6 months 😢😢😢😢 thank me later

Chad have you tried Creed Royal Oud or its clones? To me its the only wearable oud fragrance day to day. Also my favorite Green Irish Tweed type of fragrance is by far Swiss Army Sport, its a more musky version.
I get the lataffa intense oud strange opening but that goes after a month or so. I thought the same but it does turn into a very good frangrance that i will buy again
Very good for the price point. A little smoother than Tres Nuit and about 6-7 hrs longevity on my skin! Tres Nuit is more Cool Water but Egra is more GIT in my opinion

Beware hyped Vibrato and Tygar smells just like Turathi, its easily the most impressive and highest quality clone in general that I have come across. There are very few clones that could truly replace the original, in this case I wouldnt waste my money on those pricey bottles.
I have a bottle of turathi blue. I like it even tho I get a sweaty nuance from it. Do you get that? Aldo I see it shares some similar notes to dylan blue, do you think they're similar also which would you choose between the two for a year round grapefruit ambroxan fragrance?
They are not similar imo. It wouldn't be redundant to own both! The grapefruit is more prominent in the turathi blue. Dylan blue is darker, earthier with added incense and really adds sophistication. I actually would take both for different occasions. Dylan blue is better for all year imo
I think I get that "sweaty nuance" you describe too. Not sure what it is but I get in other scents and it's kind of off putting. I get it in armafs hunter intense and ventana. Also in hawas. For a BDC clone I like club de nuit iconic. No "sweaty nuance".
Ameer al Oudh Intense Oud its super confusing, like it smells nice when you take it out of the box but then it gets that weird animalic oud smell mixed with the sweet smells, super weird.

Lol I feel you. But Turathi I got annoyed after 3 days and sold it. Too linear but does indeed smell high quality. I prefer BDC as they both share a similar incense note(to my nose) but BDC is more interesting and less linear.

for future referance the first few sprays of clones do them in the air and dont judge the fragrance, after that let it sit a couple of minutes to an hour, preferably a few days to weeks depending on quality .

Mont Blanc Explorer is a favorite of mine. It's smooth and not synthetically overpowering like CDMI. Longevity is acceptable.

Try odyssey homme white by Armaf. Also try layering Hey by Alfred Snug and Cluedo code. Two sprays each. Both are less than $20

Parfums Vintage Emperor is the ultimate dupe of Aventus. Nothing else comes close.

I must've got a bad oud for glory because mine does NOT give off sweet br540 vibes what so ever.
It's in the back, not just a br540 type. But i can easily relate it to the DNA

@@carasparks8500 I wouldn't call it a sweet fragrance either. I think we just react differently to scents. It's possible you got a bad bottle but maybe live with it a bit and see how you react. I really love the stuff. Have a great day.

I got mine like 4 months ago and it just doesn't smell like anything all the other reviewers say so that's why I wonder if maybe I got a bad batch or something. I mean it's alright but no sweetness like everyone says and not as great as everyone says. So idk. You have a good day too.
for future referance the first few sprays of clones do them in the air and dont judge the fragrance, after that let it sit a couple of minutes to an hour, preferably a few days to weeks depending on quality .
Thanks for letting me know. It's unfortunate because we really shouldn't have to do that with a fragrance. These companies should have better quality control 🤷♂️
