Once you see how bad the clouds look in Crew 2, you can't unsee it. Crew 2 looks outdated because they tried to do too much in one game. It's not fair to compare it against the other two since they are dedicated to cars and not also boats/planes/bikes/destruction derby.
The clouds in that game are Volumetric, meaning they have depth so you can fly through them. Other games use a combination of static image HDRIs with dynamic cubemaps, typical, but effective for a game that never leaves the ground. still, them clouds do look ugly considering RDR2 also uses the same technology.
You comment everywhere Mr Armin S. The crew 2 still has a much bigger player base than both games combined. The clouds are Volumetric, the graphics are lacking slightly because the Crew 2's map is hella huge. If the Crew 2 has graphics like FH5 with this Map size then the game will take ages and ages to download and could possibly cause problems. And it's mostly played on PlayStation, a console that will always have a superior player base than any console. The crew 2's graphics aren't that bad anyway for an almost 4 year old game.

I play the Crew 2 daily and my game does not look that crappy. I don't know what is going on with your settings but there is something wrong here. I don't personally own Forza and it does look great but I know first hand that the crew looks better than it is being represented here for sure.
I have crew2, since 2019. On PC, 1440p ultra, and graphics not so good. Forza4-5 so much better in terms of graphics... but I like huge map on crew, more than forzas maps.

NFS heat is a hella lot of fun at start with the cop chases and intense moments. It has an AMAZING soundtrack as well. The vibes you get from the soundtrack is amazing. But after finishing the story, the game gets bland and boring. Forza is really fun at start and at the long run. Car collecting and weekly events are the things that makes me keep coming back to forza. Crew 2 is just meh. The map is big, but sucks. Something about the graphics make it feel 'cheap'
I definitely agree with you for Heat and Horizon but one thing I absolutely feel is the best between the three is Horizon racing and drifting physics, it feels beyond real
the story needed to have at least 5-6 more chapters for heat and then, it would have been perfect. Imagine if all the developers join each other and make a racing game together.
Honestly I think "BEST" is subjective due to the fact that people like different flavors, NFS Heat is an amazing arcade like racer where as Forza is more simulation mixed with arcade sensibilities and the crew is a mix of the two so again, it's all up to preference as I don't think there is a "BEST" one!!!.....
I am going to call u out for calling fh5 being a simcade at best it's an arcade, heat is more like a mobile game with its physics. Only way of fixing it is installing unite 3.0 then it gets some flavor

I play both Forza Horizon 5 (xbox series s), and crew 2 (before my pc died on me). This is my personal conclusion/experience: Forza: Graphics are better then Crew 2, they are definitely more realistic. If you want a more "realistic feeling" of driving cars, forza is the way to go, in my opinion. Races are a bit more challenging to win then in the Crew 2. (Without OP tuned cars). Crew 2: Graphics are definitely not as good as forza, but still very good. Better then shown here, from what I experienced. Cars are way easier to handle then in forza. (So if you're tired of losing control in corners, in the forza game. This would be a better game for you). The map is bigger then in Forza. You have more vehicles then just cars, think of like bikes, planes, boats. Even hovercrafts. Imo, races are also easier to win (even on the ace difficulty). So if you hate losing, this game would be better. Simply said: Forza: More/better realistic graphics and driving experience. Crew 2: More fun to mess around in. This is just my opinion and experience with both games. Hate on it, like it. I don't mind. 🙂 Also sorry for my bad English, I'm Dutch 🇳🇱
Forza is more realistic because it came out in 2021 so there's gonna be better graphics, but the crew 2 came out in 2018 so the graphics are pretty good imo and they're better on console
I have all 3 of these games and The Crew 2 on my PS4 looks way better than in this video. Edit: Also wanted to point out how the car being used for The Crew 2 is actually a generation older than the one for NFS and FH5

NFS heat kills them all in term of cars details, model and texture and gameplay. FH5 is just good gor its environment detail and color, the crew 2 just for its big map.

NFS Heat all the way, because of the visual artstyle, story and progression, customization, the more cinematic and arcady nature and the cops. the focus on illegal street racing is why i love NFS Heat. FH4 and FH5 are great, but it doesn't offer what i'm looking for in a street racing sim.

As someone who played all 3 of them: NFS Heat becomes boring and repetative after a while, would not recommend at all The Crew 2 is really uniqe with it's shapeshifting mechanic, large open world, arcade style gameplay FH5: More realistic car contolrs, incredibly beautiful graphics and impossible to get bored of it. So FH5 wins it all for me.
plus content wise, rewarding progression and summits make tc2 imo the better choice. on FH5 there nothing rewarding, u get every car for literally doing nothing, having a maxed out full gold set + perfect affixes on tc2 feels amazing (yes i have all of em, playing fh5 currently)
With NFS Heat vs FH4 I could understand people that liked Nfs more or FH4 more, but man you can't just compare NFS Heat with FH5 there is no way u can say its a better game
Who tf liked nfs heat more than horizon 4??? Everything was better in horizon 4 besides customization and car sounds...... Physics , car damage , environment destruction , lighting and multiplayer are better in h4 than nfs heat.... Heat is also very unoptimizied... I played fh 4 on ultra in 60fps while nfs hear barely run at 40 fps on high settings.....
Heat has the best looking game but my only criticism is that I have is that the cars are do not get damaged or dirty in a realistic manner and I'm okay with that anyways.

Obviously not comparable with sims or even other simcades like Gran Turismo, but ain't much competition in here: The Crew 2 feels much worse on controller, and as for steering wheel I can't tell because it has very little support, in fact my steering wheel does not work; about NFS, on the other hand, anything can be said, except that it has good hadling. At least Forza Horizon has realistic customaziaton and even setup setting (like camber, aero, springs etc.), it's not crucial like other games, but still nice to have

I played only NFS:Heat but it looks like Forza H. looks much better with details of dirt, mud and those kid of thing. The weather conditions like rain/rain drops on camera screen or sunrise/sunset looks amazing in Heat. The Crew is bit out of their league with too colored intensity.

Forza Horizon 5: Arcade/semi-race simulation game with photorealistic graphics, good multiplayer, big map and a hundreds of cars with okay-ish customization. Good story mode? No lmao. The game is never challenging unless you want it to be due to there being different difficulties you can play on. Need For Speed Heat: Arcade racing game with decent graphics, okay-ish multiplayer and a good amount of cars and very great customization. Kinda small map. Story mode isn’t great but it’s decent and it has a lot of cinematics. You have to upgrade your car a lot or buy faster cars as you progress through the game though you can’t always use street cars. The Crew 2: Arcade racing game, bad graphics, huge ass map based off of the United States, but no story mode. Technically. Good customization, good amount of cars, boats and planes. Races get very boring quickly and once you level up enough it feels like there’s nothing else to do in the game. Opinion: Either the NFS heat or FH5. Cross The Crew out of the list. Like it’s not even good. Proof? Bc it’s an Ubisoft game plus they even have it on sale on the Microsoft store for $8 I think. Hope this helped.

Heres a shit ton of reading, it talks about what I want in a car game so if you want you can read it. Give it feedback if you feel like it idk do what you want lol I honestly want a car game where you can build your own motors and buy several cars to turn them into a certain type of car. Like if I had a 1967 Chevy Impala 2 door I could make one a street car And one a dragster specifically for the drag strip. And I could mod the car in a way I want with different engine options, mufflers, exhaust, headers, different branded motors etc.. And a more detailed map, I'd rather have a smaller map with amazing detail than a massive map with nearly no detail like The Crew 2 because more detail makes the drive feel more "realistic". I'd also like to be able to strip the interior and make my own thing, sorta do it how I want. Different branded racing seats, coloured stitch lines, different shifters etc.. On the topic of shifters it'd be neat to be able to make my car either automatic, or manual because than I wouldn't have the all around option for just all the cars. It'd make me have to know my car and what it's functions are so that some cars are different Along with the different mufflers and that I want my car to sound unique and I want the audio to be louder on different cars depending on whats on them. I'd like my car to be unique to itself y'know? Like the sound of an LS and a 440 Stroker sound very different so they stay true to themself. And make my own rims, and tires. And have the tires be able to specialize in what they are supposed to. So drag tires do draggy boi stuff, and offroad tires do their thang. And for rims I wanna make my own design and number of spokes. So I could have closed rims on a muscle car. I'd also love to have low riders with hydraulics, it'd be amazing. Add some variety to car meets. Speaking of car meets it'd be sick to have scenic places to have car meets, and be able to get out the car to see other cars. A really awesome small detail that I think should exist is when you turn your car off and the wheels stay turned the way it is. So instead of it autocorrecting it stays that way. Also being able to make my own hoods like a cowl, also being able to choose how tall and wide I want it. I also wanna choose what body panels I want to be painted so I could make a ricer car funny looking and a muscle car look badass. Like painting my hood different. Also make my own unique colour for a car, have as many pearls as I want in any colour. Also having realistic limits, like I can't put bigger tires on my car untill I tub it. On the topic of tubbing being able to do the work on the car myself, and learning how to put shit together. Of course have options to make it easier and faster just so it's fair but I really want that in a game. And having semis and busses in a game, being able to engine swap them with different motors, and doing bodywork to make a bus or semi more drag strip or drifting ready. I agree with these suggestions. But unfortunately I think the game budget would then be too expensive. Something else to consider is copyright issues. Making custom rims that are too similar to an existing one could cause trouble. Some of these features are already in one of the games as well. Though unfortunately not all in one game. In The Crew 2 you can customize interior to an extent. In Heat you can paint individual body panels. In Horizon and Heat, you can swap engines. It's unfortunate that there isn't one game that has it all. Also, it would be pointless to have interior customisation on a game like Need For Speed that doesn't have interior cam. I guess the closest we can get to having these suggestions into a game would be the combination of automation and BeamNG

Nfs has more realistic surfaces then forza and crew. So you cant go thru curvy desert on 200 km/h, like in forza. And thats good. But in other, Forza is a masterpiece

I play both Forza Horizon 5 (xbox series s), and crew 2 (before my pc died on me).
This is my personal conclusion/experience:
Forza: Graphics are better then Crew 2, they are definitely more realistic. If you want a more "realistic feeling" of driving cars, forza is the way to go, in my opinion. Races are a bit more challenging to win then in the Crew 2. (Without OP tuned cars).
Crew 2: Graphics are definitely not as good as forza, but still very good. Better then shown here, from what I experienced. Cars are way easier to handle then in forza. (So if you're tired of losing control in corners, in the forza game. This would be a better game for you). The map is bigger then in Forza. You have more vehicles then just cars, think of like bikes, planes, boats. Even hovercrafts. Imo, races are also easier to win (even on the ace difficulty). So if you hate losing, this game would be better.

Forza: More/better realistic graphics and driving experience.
Crew 2: More fun to mess around in.
This is just my opinion and experience with both games. Hate on it, like it. I don't mind. 🙂

Forza is more realistic because it came out in 2021 so there's gonna be better graphics, but the crew 2 came out in 2018 so the graphics are pretty good imo and they're better on console

NFS Heat becomes boring and repetative after a while, would not recommend at all
The Crew 2 is really uniqe with it's shapeshifting mechanic, large open world, arcade style gameplay

Obviously not comparable with sims or even other simcades like Gran Turismo, but ain't much competition in here: The Crew 2 feels much worse on controller, and as for steering wheel I can't tell because it has very little support, in fact my steering wheel does not work; about NFS, on the other hand, anything can be said, except that it has good hadling. At least Forza Horizon has realistic customaziaton and even setup setting (like camber, aero, springs etc.), it's not crucial like other games, but still nice to have

I played only NFS:Heat but it looks like Forza H. looks much better with details of dirt, mud and those kid of thing. The weather conditions like rain/rain drops on camera screen or sunrise/sunset looks amazing in Heat. The Crew is bit out of their league with too colored intensity.

Just got Heat off origin for 6 bucks and I love it.
Forza Horizon 5: Arcade/semi-race simulation game with photorealistic graphics, good multiplayer, big map and a hundreds of cars with okay-ish customization. Good story mode? No lmao. The game is never challenging unless you want it to be due to there being different difficulties you can play on.
Need For Speed Heat: Arcade racing game with decent graphics, okay-ish multiplayer and a good amount of cars and very great customization. Kinda small map. Story mode isn’t great but it’s decent and it has a lot of cinematics. You have to upgrade your car a lot or buy faster cars as you progress through the game though you can’t always use street cars.
The Crew 2: Arcade racing game, bad graphics, huge ass map based off of the United States, but no story mode. Technically. Good customization, good amount of cars, boats and planes. Races get very boring quickly and once you level up enough it feels like there’s nothing else to do in the game.
Opinion: Either the NFS heat or FH5. Cross The Crew out of the list. Like it’s not even good. Proof? Bc it’s an Ubisoft game plus they even have it on sale on the Microsoft store for $8 I think.

I honestly want a car game where you can build your own motors and buy several cars to turn them into a certain type of car.
Like if I had a 1967 Chevy Impala 2 door
I could make one a street car
And one a dragster specifically for the drag strip. And I could mod the car in a way I want with different engine options, mufflers, exhaust, headers, different branded motors etc..
And a more detailed map, I'd rather have a smaller map with amazing detail than a massive map with nearly no detail like The Crew 2 because more detail makes the drive feel more "realistic".
I'd also like to be able to strip the interior and make my own thing, sorta do it how I want. Different branded racing seats, coloured stitch lines, different shifters etc..
On the topic of shifters it'd be neat to be able to make my car either automatic, or manual because than I wouldn't have the all around option for just all the cars. It'd make me have to know my car and what it's functions are so that some cars are different
Along with the different mufflers and that I want my car to sound unique and I want the audio to be louder on different cars depending on whats on them. I'd like my car to be unique to itself y'know? Like the sound of an LS and a 440 Stroker sound very different so they stay true to themself.
And make my own rims, and tires. And have the tires be able to specialize in what they are supposed to. So drag tires do draggy boi stuff, and offroad tires do their thang. And for rims I wanna make my own design and number of spokes. So I could have closed rims on a muscle car.
I'd also love to have low riders with hydraulics, it'd be amazing. Add some variety to car meets.
Speaking of car meets it'd be sick to have scenic places to have car meets, and be able to get out the car to see other cars.
A really awesome small detail that I think should exist is when you turn your car off and the wheels stay turned the way it is.
So instead of it autocorrecting it stays that way.
Also being able to make my own hoods like a cowl, also being able to choose how tall and wide I want it.
I also wanna choose what body panels I want to be painted so I could make a ricer car funny looking and a muscle car look badass. Like painting my hood different.
Also make my own unique colour for a car, have as many pearls as I want in any colour.
Also having realistic limits, like I can't put bigger tires on my car untill I tub it.
On the topic of tubbing being able to do the work on the car myself, and learning how to put shit together. Of course have options to make it easier and faster just so it's fair but I really want that in a game.
And having semis and busses in a game, being able to engine swap them with different motors, and doing bodywork to make a bus or semi more drag strip or drifting ready. Or even having a stance or "showcar" semi instead.

I agree with these suggestions. But unfortunately I think the game budget would then be too expensive. Something else to consider is copyright issues. Making custom rims that are too similar to an existing one could cause trouble. Some of these features are already in one of the games as well. Though unfortunately not all in one game. In The Crew 2 you can customize interior to an extent. In Heat you can paint individual body panels. In Horizon and Heat, you can swap engines. It's unfortunate that there isn't one game that has it all. Also, it would be pointless to have interior customisation on a game like Need For Speed that doesn't have interior cam.
I guess the closest we can get to having these suggestions into a game would be the combination of automation and BeamNG

Nfs heat is fun game to play plus the the cars have many customization and the environments are detailed and beautiful
Nfs has more realistic surfaces then forza and crew. So you cant go thru curvy desert on 200 km/h, like in forza. And thats good. But in other, Forza is a masterpiece
