The 15LA was the first engine I bought as a nine year old - more than 20 years ago! It's so amazing to see one running again... Back in the day they were blue but this one sounds just like mine did!
I was thinking of buying one of these and scratch building the RCM Funster 20 I have both 40 LA and 46la that I use on planes daily with superb idleing if this little gem will do the same then that be neat.thanks
Would this be capable of efficiently flying a 3.5lb. Plane? I'm looking at a kit from old school model works that calls for .20-.25 but o.s. doesn't make that size anymore. I'm weary of trying other brands I've never heard of.
The weight of this glider is 3.5lb and the engine is an OS 15FP: th-cam.com/video/jsfHWfqj_VA/w-d-xo.html The power output of the OS 15LA and 15FP a nearly the same. The glider is not very fast with the .15 engine and the climb angle is low...

Enya still does this size and is high quality, too. Not that easy to acquire, sadly.
