Man so many mixed feelings with this one... the gameplay looks actually really fun but i also have the sneaking suspicion that i will hate literally everyone in the game
The characters are much more bearable than I thought they would be. They kind of fit the universe they're in if that makes sense?

I agree saints 1 and 2 was my absolute favorite game. I loved the story and the groundedness and the customization of sr2. Sr2 had the best world as well the most random shit would happen even after years of playing new stuff would happen that would blow my mind. I hated when they went the more wacky rout. This one still is wacky but definitely dialed back and im probably going to give it a shot just won't use all the weird things all that much and try to actually use the Door handles on cars if it let's me.

Yeah I think people just need to accept that AAA games will never go back to that setting. Not even GTA
Honestly those games had some serious moments, but the overall vibe of them was still pretty silly and cheesy compared to GTA, it's pretty much a hallmark of the series and what actually made it popular to begin with.

That would be hilarious but the reboot from GOH is the Agents of Mayhem universe. Honestly I want Johnny to return as a badass mentor to the new crew. Like Yeah you're a bad ass but no one is badder then Gat.

It's nice to see the customization is what to expect from a Saints Row title, the combat still being outrageously over the top and the artstyle has reminded close enough with the previous installments.
EDIT: This reboot will still be Saints Row in a sense but just not with the same tone or atmosphere most are expecting

The customization sucks. I wanted to make a boobie waifu and can’t because they went the safe “realistic” body route that isn’t actually realistic because there are lots of body types that are not covered.

I feel like this is a saints row for genZ and young millennials. It has those aesthetics of the current chaotic, cynical, social anarchy the current generations feel. Which make since for a game seeping in pop culture. I look forward to a form of my favorite game series from my early teenage years keeping up with the times. Gaining another personality. Very much a game I will have to go into not looking back at the previous games. (Mostly Saints 4 and gat out of hell) more like a mix of the things I loved about the original trilogy mixed in with modern social vibes and few new treats i would have probably loved back then. After my disappointment with Back4Blood I learned not to always look at remastered/reimagined games as a predecessor the their title but just a version of it in alternate time. (not what it could have been, but what is for "them" now)

It's so sad how Volition decided that instead of making a proper SR where it'll continue SR 3, owning up to the mistake of creating sr 4. They decide to create another bad game but this time the ogs Johnny Gat, Pierce, Shaundi, etc are removed. In my opinion this is gonna be another game that fails along with it's plot.
If they really wanted to create a diverse Saints crew, that was literally it. Shaundi and Pierce were extremely like-able, and although I haven’t given this new Nickelodeon cast a try yet, I can already see that I won’t like them.
So exited to slave for this game. I really want to enjoy it as early as I can as well. Full on zombie mode lol
