Did you guys know that Bariloche is a place where ufo’s have been seen above the lakes quite often… There’s a very mysterious story about a secret project that took place in the 70ies on the Huemul island 🫣🤐👽😲… kind of scary
Going to Bariloche in mid-January! One of my best friends from high school invited me to Argentina, and we’re going to BA, Bariloche and Iguazu to see the country and his family. Spending 5 whole days there in Bariloche
Bariloche seems to be the best scenery among many Argentinian places. Lots of trees and water, with high mountain covered with snow are impressive. Thanks for the good introduction!
Bariloche is the most popular destination for highschool graduation trips. A place of Bariloche I've never been but it seems amazing in pictures is La Buitrera. Bariloche has so many interesting places around, and they are so different in every season, you never get bored!
You’re so right! Bariloche has unending possibilities for things to do! I saw a TON of school groups there too. Next time I’ll have to check out La Buitrera!!
I think I'm going to make this the gold standard Bariloche video to share with people who are interested in visiting. Hello from an Argentine in So. Cal.
I´m glad that you liked Bariloche, and I see that you have enjoyed it a lot, you can really be a guide to Bariloche, because you have explained everything in great detail. Greeting from Bahía Blanca , Argentina !!
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff I've got it, and I think Buenos Aires is even more expensive haha Then, I guess Argentina is a good place to visit and not to live, unless you're fine 🤌🏻 $$$ 😅 I've reached your channel today, i'm loving watching your videos about Argentina, very cool! Are you american?
Actually Argentina is a very affordable place to live. It’s just that the south is expensive. More expensive than BA! It’s a really fantastic country with a lot to offer. Thank you so much for watching my videos. I’m glad up found me. And I hope you’ll visit Argentina one day! :)
For your next visit I recommend that you visit Los Gigantes - Villa El Chocón. It is a small but beautiful village that is located around 400 km from Bariloche (4 hours). It is a lake with a harsh climate but beautiful in summer and the lake is mostly wild. Beautiful place.
Your videos on Argentina have been so valuable to me! I appreciate your honesty and insightful tips. Also, great editing and efficiency in how you present your content. I'm thinking of visiting Bariloche and saw a clip of the place you stayed at in another video - do you mind sharing where that was? I'm looking for a place just outside of city center while still accessible by public transport.
Hey Amorca! Thank you so much for the compliment. I'm really glad to have helped! :) You should definitely visit Bariloche! I think you're thinking of the airbnb in the 7 Lagos video? That was actually in Bariloche. About a 10-minute walk from the main plaza. Though you should be able to find several places just outside of town accessible by public transport. Check on Airbnb, booking, and Mercado Libre. There are a ton of buses that run along the main road between Bariloche and the Circuito Chico, so as long as you get a place close enough to that main road, you should have no issue at all with transportation.
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff Ok, great - thank you for taking the time to respond! Also really glad you got to visit Patagonia after having lived in AR for a while :)

You're right, I didn't go to Lago Puelo. There are so many places to see and unfortunately I just could not see them all! :) Villa La Angostura is very beautiful. I did make a quick stop there during my road trip around the 7 Lagos to San Martin de los Andes.
Hi Nicki! Have you heard about some "relief" for foreingers with the dolar situation? I heard a vague reference to a new type of tourist card or something to that effect, to try to help tourists to get the better rates without having to resort to Western Union and wads of cash. I'm going to Buenos Aires for 2 weeks in June and it would be interesting to know, plus it gives you an excuse to do an update video :) Love your content, I have watched every single video from Argentina, I may move to the other countries you have :) Thank you for your work!
Hey Anabella, thanks for watching. So it is true that Argentina recently changed so that in theory you can receive a 'tourist rate' (not as good as blue dollar, but slightly less) when you pay with your credit card. This started in November but when I tried it, it didn't work. I still got charged the red rate. But then I heard that in mid-late December, Visa and Mastercard WERE charging the tourist rate. HOWEVER, it takes a few weeks to get a refund. So you'll see the transaction first in the red rate, then a few weeks later you'll see the difference appear on your credit card statement. I would say you should try a test. Pay for something fairly cheap with your credit card, and see how it goes. Definitely don't rely solely on your credit card at first. I think Argentina will be mainly a cash based society for a long time to come. Good luck! :)
Hi PG. I posted this video today. Do you mean this video in Bariloche? I was there the last two weeks of November. I also filmed this video over several days. There were a few windy days, but mostly it was great weather while I was there.
Hello Nicki. Thank you for your useful video. We are planning to visit Bariloche in January. Whenever we can avoid renting a car (like areas with great public transportation or very affordable taxis) we don't rent a car. We like hiking a lot. In your opinion, in order to go to trail heads around Bariloche, can one take public transport ofr taxis, or is it better to have a rental car handy?
I didn’t rent a car in Bariloche (except to see the 7 Lakes), but managed to get to several of the hikes by public transport. One day I joined friends who had rented a car which was helpful, but public transport was also available to go to those places.
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff Many thanks for the fast reply. 🙏Have you ever had a chance to book a taxi for a distance like the one to the head of a trail. Are they available? reasonable? Thank you and sorry to keep bothering you.

Amazing! Thanks for curating all those wonderful things to do. Also how would you rate the internet there? Would it be possible for a remote worker to base there?
