WOW, lovely music and photos! I love looking back to the old days and how things used to look. I grew up in the 70s and 80s locally and went to the Plume school from 81-87...
The businesses and lay outs I had forgotten were once familiar - I found myself checking the cars outside the Basin Pubs to see if the photographer had been there when I was inside. Thank you.
I live in London but we used to visit Maldon Prom Park often as rhere plenty to do if tide out or if windy Nan could get out of the wind and have cuppa and of course there were toilets.... I still drop in Maldon for chandlers as i sail from Bradwell Marina Maldon holds happy memories for me thru out my life. Cooks Thames Barges Sailing Smacks and hint of a distant sail powered seafaring past in the yards above the Promenade.. Was has chsnged has kept Maldon current the Water Park..
1.00 min was taken in mid nineties as you can just about see Tesco roundabout which wasn’t there till the nineties. Also Tavern garage is a much later pick as was BP until Mid to Late 80’s, it was National. Then more Tesco roundabouts which is 90s.
We lived at 40 Market Hill, mid-70s. I remember this well.

The old Heybridge School seemed a lot bigger. I was much smaller then. :D
Look closer. There is a 1980’s / 90’s Honda and The Bypass wasn’t even commissioned til the 80’s.
