The chandelier over the table (I'm LOVING the copper color!) should be a lot lower--either the same height as the lights over the island, for visual consistency, or the standard 30-36 inches above table height, as someone else commented. It looks really wrong to see it so high. I think it's probably difficult to judge the height without chairs around the table, but it certainly does not need to be above head height for anyone--no one is going to walk through the table! I second the suggestion for an upholstered bench to bring the blue to the other side of the room--also to have a cozy place to sit. The kitchen is often a place where people spend time together even if only one person is on their feet doing meal prep, etc. You have a good layout for this to be the case--make it inviting by including upholstered seating. If you're concerned about spills, you could use an outdoor fabric that is stain resistant and easy to clean.

Yes. I am a designer, too. Agree re the lights. The taps need to be changed over, also. The gooseneck tap aesthetically would look good over the island bench and the other taps would not be overwhelming for the smaller space under the overhead cupboard. A hose on the tap there would suit to wash pots. Agree re the seating bench against the wall picking up the colour tones of the kitchen island. Just need to paint a bench the same colour, maybe even a bench reclaimed from a brocante or charity shop. Retro chairs the same colour as the table would look great, either with chair pads picking up the kitchen island colour again , or even Thonet-like bentwood chairs with the blond weave on the seat would tie in. The great thing about the brass light fitting is that you can pick up brass/ copper items to decorate, particularly things like old kettles with the blue and white handles to reflect those stunning tiles. Beautiful kitchen , guys. You have done a great job and the time taken is absolutely worth it. No doubt you will spend most of your time in there.
If you haven’t already done so, you need to put furniture pads on the bottom of your table legs and chair legs, especially if the furniture has been refinished with wood stain. I purchased a brand new oak curio and realized one year later that the stain on the bottom of the legs left stain marks on the new carpet in my rented apartment. I lost part of my deposit. The Scotch Guard on the carpet wasn’t strong enough to protect against wood stain. I doubt the sealant on your lovely white stone will be enough to protect it from wood stain, especially after a few months of kids scooting the table and chairs back and forth. Good luck and congratulations on your newly finished kitchen.
Looks amazing! The chandelier is still way too high! There are measurement "rules." Since there is a table under a dining area chandelier, no one will hit their head on it, so they are hung relatively low to create a nice ambiance when sitting down.
Yes, I agree. It’s hung way too high for use over a dining table. I was thinking the rule was 32” above the table top but I’m sure there is a legit interior designer somewhere here in the comments that knows & will tell us. From a former landscaper, try to change up the lines from one mow to another, those tires will rip divets into your lawn if you continue to turn in the same place every time! I love zero turn mowers they make mowing go very quickly!

In America, the decorators usually have the chandeliers between 36 inches and 40 inches above the table. What ever satisfies your taster I'm sure will be fine.

Beautiful kitchen! The chairs should be classic French country chairs with rush seats….painted the same color as the island…or stained the same as the table. Don’t introduce another color to the room…as it distracts the eye from the beautiful tile behind the stove…which should be a focal point …they are so beautiful! You’ve done an amazing job! The table coordinates beautifully with Ziggy, so it must be the perfect color. I agree with others - much lower on the chandelier. A modern rectangular fixture with some volume to it would help alleviate the height of the ceiling and make the seating area more intimate. I'm envisioning something like a wrought iron box shaped frame - simple and see-through but adding structure to all that empty air. The kitchen is just gorgeous! So exciting that you may have moved in already. What a game changer for your life and family.

They make trays that can go under the coffee maker and other appliances in your cabinet that will retain any water or other liquids. They come in different colors and styles and I am sure you can find one to match the wood. It will keep the wood beautiful for a long life!

You have created a lovely kitchen. Love all the colours and style of the cabinets. One thing I would suggest is to paint the crown molding the same colour as the cabinets. This would finish the top of the cabinets and give a continuity to the room. If you like to linger at the table after a meal, I suggest chairs and not a bench.

Haircut looks good! There is a rule of thumb regarding a chandelier hanging over the table. In an 8 foot ceiling the standard is 30 to 36 inches above the table top. For every additional foot, add 3 inches. Good luck!

Best solution for silicon caulking is, after applying the silicon to spray it with a colourless window cleaneer and only after that to use the tool to remove the excess silicone, what this will do is to make sure that te silicon will not stick any other surface besides the target one on removal. Just a tip, learned during the removation of our house.

Beautiful kitchen, excellent lord of the manor, and ever the bossy queen. It is great fun watching both of you interact with each other. It is very entertaining. My suggestion for the gorgeous chandelier over the table would be to put it at the same height as the hanging fixtures across from the stove. My $ .02.

You have created a lovely kitchen. Love all the colours and style of the cabinets. One thing I would suggest is to paint the crown molding the same colour as the cabinets. This would finish the top of the cabinets and give a continuity to the room. If you like to linger at the table after a meal, I suggest chairs and not a bench.

I love the Golden/ Brass tap and drawer handles, adds a touch of class. Keep the kitchen brightly lighted up, a bright kitchen especially at night will look blessed.
Haircut looks good! There is a rule of thumb regarding a chandelier hanging over the table. In an 8 foot ceiling the standard is 30 to 36 inches above the table top. For every additional foot, add 3 inches. Good luck!

Best solution for silicon caulking is, after applying the silicon to spray it with a colourless window cleaneer and only after that to use the tool to remove the excess silicone, what this will do is to make sure that te silicon will not stick any other surface besides the target one on removal. Just a tip, learned during the removation of our house.

The kitchen is just looking beautiful. Can't wait to see it when you have your first meal in it. As for the height of the chandelier I would wait till evening and turn it on and see how it illuminates the table to decide the height. Looking good.
