I get the feeling of deja vu in the most random moments.... sometimes when I'm having a good time, laughing, having fun, it just hits my brain and then i just end up stopping what I'm doing.
my "dejavu" tends to happen in the form of dreams. I'll have a dream and then *much* later it will happen in my life. I don't recognize it's importance while I am dreaming, but I definitely remember it (and dreaming it) after it happens.
You're not alone! I usually get deja vu for dreams that I had like 6 months to a year later, but I'm pretty sure that I've never had it for something happens more than a year later. How long are yours? I even once had deja vu in a dream within a dream about a dream that I had. It was weird.
Same for me. Ill be dreaming of a moment go through it entirely. And then weeks or longer do the exact same thing in real life. Its not a familiar feeling, its completely the same moment ive dreamt about, down to every little detail. Idk why.
When I heard the words deja vu, I started say “DEJA VU! IVE BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE! HIGHER ON THE STREETS” in the whole frickin’ class, *they called my parent’s*
*Zenaida Alejo* Like honestly, he really could've killed us all. If that cup didn't fall, it wouldn't have stopped the shockwave in the Atlantic Ocean that would shake North Korea and have them think Japan did it so we'd have an early nuclear war and dead stuff.
Zenaida Alejo yeah.if u know ur having de ja vu and u dream the end of that someone will get an easy question wrong and could have become a millionare(Heck maybe a billionare) i think dont think u should tell them or things might get outta hand.
Last week I had deja vu or a look into the future I knew exactly what was going to happen and I purposely did the exact same things I remembered and the outcome was the same as I had seen.
Nope. You had regular deja vu in the moment it was happening. It was just particularly intense so it *felt* like you had the memory of predicting it a week early. It's a false memory.
If you do the exact same thing you're not doing it purposely, it's just deja vu. You're just more aware of it. When I have "deja vu" If it's something bad to happen I actually do something different to predict it so yeah I kind of change it. Also f I've seen in my dream a place I haven't been to before then I just went to that place(different city to be exact) and was like "what the". I might add that I didn't see any pictures of the place in my life and I was about 7 yo. And have been having these "visions" since 4 yo. Idk why I said that though. But yeah a lot of people say "I purposely did the same thing but I still think it wasn't a deja vu" you guys are not friccin special and that's just normal deja vu. I'll add something to make this less serious. Lol lmao xD (good I'll forget about this embarrassing comment soon) sub to me channel x333 and don't atttack me I'm 12(not rlly xD) and I'll get deppresso and killeso miself oof. Ok, that's enough.
I literally have dreams about things that eventually happened in the future, I don’t know how. I’ve dreamt of certain situations that happen days, weeks, even months after I dreamt of it. Does this happen to anyone else.
I played a video game with friends. I dreamt or something I think dont remember exactly. And like a month or two I have this exact moment exact match even ingame events are similar. Happened few times. Its quite strange. I just remember that this happened like few months ago
Omfg this happens so much… not as frequently as when I was a kid but it’s the weirdest feeling. It’s like when it happens I remember dreaming it months ago… so weird.
Me too. Also, i oance had a deja vu and i relised it while it was happening and i was able to predict wat was about to happen, but only in my mind. I couldn't interact with people while it was happening. Reely strange staff.
How can you explain this. I dream about my “déjà vu” moments. Sometimes I can even remember it when I wake up (this is more rare though). When I do, later on when I’m about to do what I saw in the dream, I remember what I dreamt. So basically I can choose to continue the action or not, and I do continue. It’s such a weird and interesting thing, it’s like my dream state sees the future on rare occasions.
Nah i dream and see im in a sand place my bro are in font of me i look at the birthday cake and and i woke up few day later i go too the same place my bro are in font of me i look at the birthday cake and it is the same cake in my dream same place same food on the taber and same cander(sorry for my bad spelling)
Then sniff gasoline because you will experience it and it is so weird to the minute it's scary. Kinda scary because it feels like Minecraft corner to corner green pattern roller coaster while being stuck in a 90s computer like experience of teleporting or time traveling with zero conscious awareness while the same pattern happens over and over again like if on repeat.
There was a moment happened in my class one year ago, I suddenly had the deja vu feeling, I instantly looked at the door of the classroom and think, a woman will stand in front of the door few seconds later, guess what? she really appear, I remember that scene until now....
Ian Christopher This happened to me a few weeks ago. I was in my French class after having a dream the previous night, when one of the people sitting in front of me dropped their pen. Or pencil. Or colour. I can't remember. Then I remember looking up, and, just as expected, the other person in front of me sneezed. Weird that this happens. If I'm honest, I experience Deja Vu every few weeks :P
i remember one time i was dreaming about me rushing to somewhere then suddenly i crashed and woke up... Then one day i was driving in a hurry and i had an instant feeling of deja vu so i stopped automatically, Next thing you know .. the car that hit me in my dream was just about to hit me in real life. I really appreciate deja vu because without it or not remembering that dream, i coulda been dead man
Mines once was i dreming about tommorow I mean tommorow. So the story it goes like this,i was preparing for an examI thought there is only 2 su ject but it was 3.Soo i decided to study for 2 only but once i go sleep i got a dream that seriously me studuing my subject for the 3 one . Once i wake up,i just think that dream doesnt real so i decided not to brought the text book . i go to school and seriously there is that subject is there i wss like how my dream is true but idont do it
Nah i dream and see im in a sand place my bro are in font of me i look at the birthday cake and and i woke up few day later i go too the same place my bro are in font of me i look at the birthday cake and it is the same cake in my dream same place same food on the taber and same cander(sorry for my bad spelling)
Actually i realized that dejavu events are seen in dreams in the past. Thus when you experience them, you remember the dream you saw. Usually those kind of dreams are those that you remember the next day without knowing their significance until the event actually happens.
+Gayathri Santhosh Sometimes I do feel like I've already lived through some things. I just watched a TH-cam video that I already have seen before, but I haven't it was just uploaded an hour ago........Once I got to a familiar scene, it clicked in my head that I've already seen this before.
Every time I get deja vu I gasp In surprise so I look crazy. It’s weird how I can predict what happens next but I can’t tell anyone in advance because I won’t remember until it happens.
I dream i is in a sand place with my bro is in font of me i look at the brithday cake and woke up few day later im go too the same place my bro are in font of me i look at tge brithday cake it is in the same place the same cake and the same food in the taber and the same cander(sorry for my bad spelling)
Like every day when I'm doing something like cleaning my room or writing something down, I could've sworn I had done it before. And I never really paid any attention to what this meant, so at least now I know.
Most of these comments are about dreams and stuff like that but when I have deja vu I'm just somewhere and I feel like I've done what I'm doing or its familiar
@@simarkarmani4034 Groundhig day was a movie with Bill Murray where everytime he wakes up in the morning its just the same day. And it happens then over and over
Yo I always have this but I never seem to be able to explain this feeling! Now I finally know what it’s called and that I’m not the only one with this!
It's interesting how people always say "our brains". Or, "the brain is amazing". And it makes me think - Aren't we the brain itself? When we talk, aren't WE actually the brain talking? So when I have a conversation with someone, we are talking brain to brain. You really are your brain, just in a body, or mask, as I like to call it. So instead of saying "my brain", maybe we should say, "I". Just a thought.
Well, yes and no. We are not ONLY our brains. We are our brains and bodies combined. So if we just say "I" instead of "my brain", we're not being clear about which part of "I" is being discussed.
***** You're getting much more into philosophy than science. When we die, the body stops functioning just like the brain does. The body parts remain, but then so does the brain--it's just not working anymore.
***** That depends, have you ever heard of 'embodied cognition'? The body is not inert, it is responsible for a lot of the way we think (The future and good things are ahead or up, the past and bad things are behind and down.) as well as our emotions. If you force people to smile for example their mood improves, the feedback triggers an emotional response.
When people say the brain, they mean the unconscious share of it, which do not include your personality or behaviours. Like all the millions of interconnected neurons and electrochemical connections happenning every second in your brain to allow you to think, breathe and virtually exist as a sentient being. Unless you're suggesting you're all that (that is, you can control all that) then I wouldn't say you are your brain; the brain is part of your mask. When we say such things as "the brain is a fascinating machine," we usually mean the structural complexity upon which it operates non-stop day in and day off.
I'VE JUST BEEN IN THIS TIME BEFORE HIGHER ON THE BEAT, AND I KNOW IT'S A PLACE TO GO CALLING YOU, AND THE SEARCH IS A MYSTERY STANDING ON MY FEET, IT'S SO HARD WHEN I TRY TO BE ME, *YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH*
Why do I feel this video was inspired by the movie Inside out? Reasons: I recently saw the movie. The movie is more than 6 years old and this video is also 6 years old. The movie is about memories and has a scene about déjà vu. Also the way you showed short term and long term memories with train and factories is just like in the movie.

That's crazy, like when I have deja vu I usually feel like I've seen the scene before. Like I dreamt it almost or something. It's such a crazy and exciting feeling.
Once, I was at a birthday party near a beach, in a spot I'd never been, and there were a few people I'd never met there. I got this feeling over me that felt like deja vu, I didn't say I felt it out loud. However, one of the girls I'd just met said "I feel like I'm having deja vu" and my eyes just went wide. How is it possible we never met, never had been to that spot, but were BOTH experiencing deja vu?! Creeps me out to this day

Dear It's Okay To Be Smart, I'm not sure about your explanations, but I've heard it explained by neuroscientists this way: 1. Memories are, in fact, combined patterns from our senses. 2. Memories are not exact patterns of what actually happened. 3. Memories are constantly rewritten into new patterns. 4. Sometimes, for whatever reason, the senses-while encoding a pattern-get matched with another previous memory pattern (or part of a memory pattern) which is not what had actually happened anyway. 5. The reason we don't constantly experience Déjà Vu is because, like DNA or a fingerprint, it takes a long time to experience matching patterns. I.e., while your brain (if to liken it to a computer storing a memory) is writing a set of 1s and 0s to create a memory, it comes across a set of previously written 1s and 0s which have a section that match. Boom, Déjà Vu!
yinYangMountain Our brains don't write memories the way that computers do. It's an intriguing explanation, but it's not really a good metaphor for how memory works, and therefore not the best for deja vu. Scientists truly don't know what the exact reason for it is…
A better analogy for how memory works is to think of someone sitting in your brain, writing down notes. He writes down his observations based on what he can see, hear, smell, feel, taste, etc. He judges these based on his past experiences. Next, he calls up another department in the brain and relays the data over the telephone. As one could imagine, sometimes the person on the other end hears wrong and writes down something different. Well, this again gets sent to where it will be kept in the "long term storage" (we've now gone from sensory to short term to long term) where yet again it is relayed over the phone. To make matters even more interesting, the paper they write it on sometimes fades or lets the ink get smudged, so when you pull it out, it might now be in the same condition. Further, once it has been pulled out, they won't put it back- they have to go transcribe it all over again. Thus, our memories do not always match reality from the get go, can look different by the time they are put away for keeping, and each recall can change them slightly as well. Isn't psychology fun? ;)
It's Okay To Be Smart "Our brains don't write memories the way that computers do." Of course not. And if this is your best critique of the computer pattern metaphor-as no metaphor is perfect, you purposely miss the point in an attempt to defend what could have been an otherwise good video. Prominent neuroscientists do, in fact, hypothesize the 'feeling' of Déjà Vu occurs when the brain matches [liken these patterns any way you wish to make the point] a set of neural patterns with another previous set. E.g., you are sitting in the coffee shop, facing a tropical sunset in Honolulu, and look at a jogger wearing green stroll by with a German Shepard in tow. For some reason, these combined neural firings instantly match a set of neural patterns that coded while experiencing an elevator ride at the Eiffel Tower during midday in the rain. I.e., there is nothing which looks, feels, or smells the same-as maybe you've never even been to Honolulu before. It's a glitch and momentary match. It absolutely explains how the experience of Déjà Vu could occur in a location never visited or experienced in any meaningful way. A metaphor could be a kaleidoscope: Imagine all the senses being fed into a hypothetical kaleidoscope. This kaleidoscope then creates a color pattern from the combined signals; occasionally, but not that often, although each sense are uniquely different from any previous, they combine at that moment to make a previous color pattern seen before. Boom, Déjà Vu! Your video, although being very clever, missed what has been written in current literature.
Here's a mind blowing insight - I think I have a theory for dejavu. About 3 years ago I started down a journey of learning to lucid dream. One of the best tactics to learn to lucid dream is to keep a dream diary. You basically write down your dream the moment you wake up - every detail you can. About a year into it I had a wild thing happen - something I dreamt actually happen in real life. It wasn't identical, but it was damn near close on the key details. Over 3 years it has happened 4 times. So my theory for Deja vu is that it is that we did experience it, we just dreamt it at some point recently and don't recall the dream, but that moment of the dream is recalled and feels familiar. when we dream at night, often our brain is running simulations to prepare us for the next day based on inputs gathered both consciously and unconsciously. And we all dream. Anyone who says "I don't dream" is actually saying "I've taught my brain that dreams aren't important to remember" Wild stuff. Learning to lucid dream is a fun journey, and I'm always excited to see when the next dream was actually a prediction. I no longer feel Deja vu, I feel wild excitement when I check my dream journal and confirm this event was in there.
***** ok, then explain how I have been able to even say what someone else was about to say as they were saying it. Either you have s great scientific explanation or you are calling me a liar, the latter of which I'm not.
Dane Reid You're a liar or the brain tricks you into thinking that you knew before hand but you're only remembering it afterwards and think you knew before it happened.
***** can you prove that? There seems to be no basis for your objection except that it's never happened to you or anyone you know. So it seems difficult for you to believe
Deja Vu is a song performed by Dave Rodgers an Italian songwriter, composer, and producer heavily known for his contributions to the Eurobeat genre of dance music. This song is heard in Act 13 in the Second Stage in a race Takumi Fujiwara vs a Turbo fitted Toyota AE86 Levin driven by Wataru Akiyama. [Verse 1] See your body into the moonlight Even if I try to cancel All the pictures into the mind There's a flashing in my eyes [Hook] Don't you see my commission, the nation Has gone running again Can't you see now, illusions Right into your mind [Chorus] Deja vu I've just been in this place before Higher on the street And I know it's my time to go Calling you, and the search is a mystery Standing on my feet It's so hard when I try to be me, woah Deja vu I've just been in this time before Higher on the beat And I know it's a place to go Calling you and the search is a mystery Standing on my feet It's so hard when I try to be me, yeah [Verse 2] See the future into the present See my past leaves in the distance Try to guess now what's going on And the band begins to play [Hook] Don't you see my commission, the nation Has gone running again Can't you see now, illusions Right into your mind [Chorus] Deja vu I've just been in this place before Higher on the street And I know it's my time to go Calling you, and the search is a mystery Standing on my feet It's so hard when I try to be me, woah Deja vu I've just been in this time before Higher on the beat And I know it's a place to go Calling you and the search is a mystery Standing on my feet It's so hard when I try to be me, yeah [Verse 1] See your body into the moonlight Even if I try to cancel All the pictures into the mind There's a flashing in my eyes [Hook] Don't you see my commission, the nation Has gone running again Can't you see now, illusions Right into your mind [Chorus] Deja vu I've just been in this place before Higher on the street And I know it's my time to go Calling you, and the search is a mystery Standing on my feet It's so hard when I try to be me, woah Deja vu I've just been in this time before Higher on the beat And I know it's a place to go Calling you and the search is a mystery Standing on my feet It's so hard when I try to be me, yeah
When I was younger, I thought that I could look into the future. But, it was just me doing exactly the same thing I had done ones before, so I knew what would happen. Such a let down when I found out I wasn't a superhero.
Hey, finding patterns in our world and exploiting them might not be a superpower, but it's one of the things that give us an evolutionary advantage over other species. I'd say that's pretty special.
What about a dream you had 10 years ago and that Dejavu has reminded you of this exact instant in time? That's mainly how Dejavu works in my case, is that I have dreamt it first.
hmm.... my theory is that everyone gets deja vu just in a diffrent way!You see i get deja vu in that instant moment just like yesterday. It was a normal day as usual and i had lunch with grandma and my Brother then this happens. My grandma asked Brother does he wants tomatoes in salat and i had a thought.Wait this happend before? What?I was really confused. Also for some reason i mostly get deja vu at school or when i'm going to school. Now it's summer so it's rare.Weird but my point is that people have i guess ways to getting Deja vu.Just my opinion but yeah :)
Same here. The DejaVu first and then the realization that i dreamt it before. These events could happen even decades later and you can only remember your dream because of the DejaVu.
My idea of what Deja Vu is: When you experience something, it is first processed in your brain, and then stored in memory. My idea is that, once in a while, your brain experiences a small glitch, or hiccup, and ends up storing the experience in memory before processing it, giving the feeling of Deja Vu.
+Mac Lazer Deja Vu happens when you remember something from a dream :) So it means you have traveled the path of that dream. Here's what interesting is that when we work we create/problem solve using our imagination which is also in darkness. We can all literally change our reality at any moment :)
+Mac Lazer recount how you came to be in your life now. Then compare it to when Steve Jobs took acid. He used his imagination within his trip to turn it into reality. Same thing :) We attract what we think of everyday :) If you start thinking more about something and I mean anything (for you or others), signs will pop up in front of you, you just have to be more aware of this :) practice thinking about it for 3 days in a row and give it a go :) then let me know how you go. this is not an ego boost for me, I genuinely wish to help others :)
123howl Do you realise how ridiculous you sound? xD If that was true, I could have a dream about aliens destroying the Earth, and (by your logic) it might actually happen because I experience deja vu almost every day. That's pretty scary. Or someone could just imagine the total destruction of the human species, done by a can of lemon beer, over and over again. That might happen too, right? No. We humans don't have that much power. What you said is just ridiculous and stupid.
I've experienced the same thing before, even when it's about an event or place I'd never even experienced before. (Remembered an insignificant conversation at my current school, that I could have sworn I'd experienced years ago.) I don't remember actually experiencing it the first time though which is the weird part, it's like a memory that should have happened at a certain point on a timeline, but was placed earlier than it occurred for lack of a better explanation.
Same but when I was a kid I tried to control it like make something happen. It worked but in very subtle ways, deja vu is a way of out of body travel or time travel experiencing things of the future while sleeping and not remembering or losing 90% of the memories.
+Dionel Reyes we cannot say as a certain science that deja vu is something because it's one of the things that scientist and people know the less about it's a phenom dad will probably never be described at all without diving into the mind of a human.
for me, im just going about in my day and all of a sudden: I get a 3-10 second vision. nothing important, just a random scene. then, it's erased from my memory. i don't remember it happening, I don't remember the vision. then, weeks or months later; it happens. I'm like wHOA I REMEMBER GETTING A VISION OF THIS.
and once, i went to the nurses office during school and i was laying down in a little bed with curtains around it, and i swear i heard the same kids come in twice with the exact request.
I always do that cause one time i was at lunch and the teacher was yelling at the kid and the day after the same teacher was yelling at the same kid with the same words and i was in the same spot
yes that is a very common term Americans use haha. Its like how we say "deja vu" even though it is French or how many English words are actually facets of Greek and Latin words combined
+Eli Duran That surprises me :D I've never heard of german words that are used in english. But you're right, we also use many english words here in Germany.
I'm 10 and I remember playing a game I don't have. I haven't watched the entire video yet, but, my theory is, since you don't remember most of your dreams, maybe that's where it's from? For example, if I go skydiving in a dream, and I wake up, and I don't remember it, if I go skydiving in real life, will I feel like I've already done it?
Clayton Harbeson Nice idea and yes this has happened to people before. However when you remember a game you never had, deja vu is your brain thinking you did remember something but you really didn't.
+Clayton Harbeson Haha, it saddens you? That actually gives me a slight amount of faith in the younger generations. Not trying to sound old though, I know I'm 19, but it feels like everyone is becoming too simple to have good grammar. Aside from that, he has an interesting theory!
Before I even watch this video, I want to give a quick analysis on what I believe déjà vu is. In a world/universe where one believes that there are many dimensions and other worlds that replicate exactly what is happening right now at this very moment of our lives, where we all exist exactly the same as we are here but just tuned to a different dial/frequency on the radio...we somehow are able to lock minds with our other self (which at that very instant is doing the exact same as we are here), our minds are somehow able to breach the boundaries of space and time to connect for a brief second. Then just a few seconds later, that connection is lost and the feeling ceases to exist until next time.
I think I already watched this one.
Yes nailed it!

I actually enjoy when I have those small moments of confusion. Makes me think I’m a time traveller or something
Literally same case with me
Yes
But you are a time traveler.
Deja vu is remembering a dream about the future that you didn’t remember upon wake up initially. 🧐

I have Deja vu all the time!!! One time I did something and I was like: “haven’t I done this before??”
When I heard the words deja vu, I started say “DEJA VU! IVE BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE! HIGHER ON THE STREETS” in the whole frickin’ class, *they called my parent’s*

Like honestly, he really could've killed us all. If that cup didn't fall, it wouldn't have stopped the shockwave in the Atlantic Ocean that would shake North Korea and have them think Japan did it so we'd have an early nuclear war and dead stuff.
Zenaida Alejo yeah.if u know ur having de ja vu and u dream the end of that someone will get an easy question wrong and could have become a millionare(Heck maybe a billionare) i think dont think u should tell them or things might get outta hand.
ahahahahah
Zenaida Alejo yea what if the guy walked home cause he spilled it on his pants and then he met his future wife.
Last week I had deja vu or a look into the future I knew exactly what was going to happen and I purposely did the exact same things I remembered and the outcome was the same as I had seen.
I also have done that
Correction it’s precognitive dream
Ugh i thought i was possessed or something
I literally have dreams about things that eventually happened in the future, I don’t know how. I’ve dreamt of certain situations that happen days, weeks, even months after I dreamt of it. Does this happen to anyone else.
thats really cool, yeah no that doesn't happen to me. it could be your stand ability lol
I played a video game with friends. I dreamt or something I think dont remember exactly. And like a month or two I have this exact moment exact match even ingame events are similar. Happened few times. Its quite strange. I just remember that this happened like few months ago
Have definitely had this happen multiple times throughout my life, super weird. Of course, it's never anything of any importance, lol.
Omfg this happens so much… not as frequently as when I was a kid but it’s the weirdest feeling. It’s like when it happens I remember dreaming it months ago… so weird.
Omg, same thing happens with me most of the time
I’ve been having déjà vu since I was 4 and it’s actually pretty common for me
Me too
Same to me.

Me too. Also, i oance had a deja vu and i relised it while it was happening and i was able to predict wat was about to happen, but only in my mind. I couldn't interact with people while it was happening. Reely strange staff.

um not even kidding your comment gave me deja vu
How can you explain this. I dream about my “déjà vu” moments. Sometimes I can even remember it when I wake up (this is more rare though). When I do, later on when I’m about to do what I saw in the dream, I remember what I dreamt. So basically I can choose to continue the action or not, and I do continue. It’s such a weird and interesting thing, it’s like my dream state sees the future on rare occasions.
j e s s i c a Yeah, me too! The same thing happens to me, when i have deja vu
Nah i dream and see im in a sand place my bro are in font of me i look at the birthday cake and and i woke up few day later i go too the same place my bro are in font of me i look at the birthday cake and it is the same cake in my dream same place same food on the taber and same cander(sorry for my bad spelling)

Try taking acid
Then sniff gasoline because you will experience it and it is so weird to the minute it's scary. Kinda scary because it feels like Minecraft corner to corner green pattern roller coaster while being stuck in a 90s computer like experience of teleporting or time traveling with zero conscious awareness while the same pattern happens over and over again like if on repeat.
Sometimes people tell me some things but then i feel like it has already occurred in the past

There was a moment happened in my class one year ago, I suddenly had the deja vu feeling, I instantly looked at the door of the classroom and think, a woman will stand in front of the door few seconds later, guess what? she really appear, I remember that scene until now....
You will see my reply, you are blinking, then you are smiling
Ian Christopher Exactly! i have that feeling too! It's like if we can see the future
Ian Christopher omg I can do that too! Anytime I get deja vu it's right before, 3 secs, and then it happens
Lol me too
i remember one time i was dreaming about me rushing to somewhere then suddenly i crashed and woke up... Then one day i was driving in a hurry and i had an instant feeling of deja vu so i stopped automatically, Next thing you know .. the car that hit me in my dream was just about to hit me in real life. I really appreciate deja vu because without it or not remembering that dream, i coulda been dead man

Actually i realized that dejavu events are seen in dreams in the past.
Thus when you experience them, you remember the dream you saw.
Usually those kind of dreams are those that you remember the next day without knowing their significance until the event actually happens.
some even say that deja vu occurs wen v experience something that v hav experienced in our previous life. idk y, but it creeped me out.
+Gayathri Santhosh Sometimes I do feel like I've already lived through some things. I just watched a TH-cam video that I already have seen before, but I haven't it was just uploaded an hour ago........Once I got to a familiar scene, it clicked in my head that I've already seen this before.

When I have deja vu, I stop and ask myself, "What am I supposed to be learning from this?"
So far, nothing.
Every time I get deja vu I gasp In surprise so I look crazy. It’s weird how I can predict what happens next but I can’t tell anyone in advance because I won’t remember until it happens.

I did have some dreams about things would happen a year later, and yes they happened exactly as I remembered
for me it feels like it happen but then i remember it happening but the memory feels kinda foggy like a dream.
Like every day when I'm doing something like cleaning my room or writing something down, I could've sworn I had done it before. And I never really paid any attention to what this meant, so at least now I know.

Or pink stuff and rarw monsters.
We don't live in a matrix, but it's a fun 'theory'.
Great movie.
It's interesting how people always say "our brains". Or, "the brain is amazing".
And it makes me think -
Aren't we the brain itself? When we talk, aren't WE actually the brain talking?
So when I have a conversation with someone, we are talking brain to brain.
You really are your brain, just in a body, or mask, as I like to call it. So instead of saying "my brain", maybe we should say, "I".
Just a thought.
I like to think of my body as a vehicle or machine and my brain is the pilot
Well, yes and no. We are not ONLY our brains. We are our brains and bodies combined. So if we just say "I" instead of "my brain", we're not being clear about which part of "I" is being discussed.
*****
You're getting much more into philosophy than science. When we die, the body stops functioning just like the brain does. The body parts remain, but then so does the brain--it's just not working anymore.
*****
That depends, have you ever heard of 'embodied cognition'?

Dear It's Okay To Be Smart,
I'm not sure about your explanations, but I've heard it explained by neuroscientists this way:
Isn't psychology fun? ;)
It's Okay To Be Smart
"Our brains don't write memories the way that computers do." Of course not.
A metaphor could be a kaleidoscope:
Imagine all the senses being fed into a hypothetical kaleidoscope.
I'm 9 and I have daja vu
Here's a mind blowing insight -
I think I have a theory for dejavu.
Anyone who says "I don't dream" is actually saying "I've taught my brain that dreams aren't important to remember"
Wild stuff. Learning to lucid dream is a fun journey, and I'm always excited to see when the next dream was actually a prediction. I no longer feel Deja vu, I feel wild excitement when I check my dream journal and confirm this event was in there.
Could explain some of it, but not the whole phenomenon.
Strange. I am twelve now, and I have experienced deja vu as early as 5 or 6th.
Im 12 aswell and ive ony started experiecning it ever since ive strated 6th grade its weird and i also had deja vu yesterday

SaMko´z PaZar I think he wrote it like he said it
When experiencing Deja Vu I have been able to predict events before they happen.
WTF? I'm pretty sure you haven't.
me too! just once though
“Yeah, I could have” at the end had me rolling because I was thinking, why didn’t you just tell the guy 😂
[Verse 1]
See your body into the moonlight
Even if I try to cancel
All the pictures into the mind
There's a flashing in my eyes
[Hook]
Don't you see my commission, the nation
Has gone running again
Can't you see now, illusions
Right into your mind
[Chorus]
Deja vu
I've just been in this place before
Higher on the street
And I know it's my time to go
Calling you, and the search is a mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me, woah
Deja vu
I've just been in this time before
Higher on the beat
And I know it's a place to go
Calling you and the search is a mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me, yeah
[Verse 2]
See the future into the present
See my past leaves in the distance
Try to guess now what's going on
And the band begins to play
[Hook]
Don't you see my commission, the nation
Has gone running again
Can't you see now, illusions
Right into your mind
[Chorus]
Deja vu
I've just been in this place before
Higher on the street
And I know it's my time to go
Calling you, and the search is a mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me, woah
Deja vu
I've just been in this time before
Higher on the beat
And I know it's a place to go
Calling you and the search is a mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me, yeah

The cup was empty😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve gotten deja vu since I was 7. I thought I was crazy and I decided to look it up, and here I am.
Jamar idk if you still get a crazy a lot of it see a trained person or if you just are remembering when you did then it’s fine
tragic trashcan I'm having it now and I'm 8
Sometimes when I experience Deja Vu, and try to recollect where or when I have seen it.. I realise it was in a dream I saw a few days ago..
Snap back to reality, oop there goes gravity
Tsar Nicholas Romanov II no please don't give thanos ideas don't snap thanos don't worry about her

What about a dream you had 10 years ago and that Dejavu has reminded you of this exact instant in time? That's mainly how Dejavu works in my case, is that I have dreamt it first.
me too!
hmm.... my theory is that everyone gets deja vu just in a diffrent way!You see i get deja vu in that instant moment just like yesterday.
Charles Simpson omg I thought I was the only one who experienced it.
Charles Simpson There is no way a man can remember the exact events in a dream after they wake up, let alone 10 years later
Same here. The DejaVu first and then the realization that i dreamt it before. These events could happen even decades later and you can only remember your dream because of the DejaVu.
My idea of what Deja Vu is:
When you experience something, it is first processed in your brain, and then stored in memory. My idea is that, once in a while, your brain experiences a small glitch, or hiccup, and ends up storing the experience in memory before processing it, giving the feeling of Deja Vu.
+Mac Lazer
That.. actually makes sense...
+Mac Lazer Deja Vu happens when you remember something from a dream :) So it means
you have traveled the path of that dream. Here's what interesting is
that when we work we create/problem solve using our imagination which is
also in darkness. We can all literally change our reality at any moment
:)
123howl Prove it
+Mac Lazer recount how you came to be in your life now.
123howl
Do you realise how ridiculous you sound? xD
If that was true, I could have a dream about aliens destroying the Earth, and (by your logic) it might actually happen because I experience deja vu almost every day. That's pretty scary. Or someone could just imagine the total destruction of the human species, done by a can of lemon beer, over and over again. That might happen too, right?
No. We humans don't have that much power. What you said is just ridiculous and stupid.
Do you ever feel like you space out in a day-nightmare while lying in bed then snap while reacting in a weird way
what about having dreams that then occur in real life at a later date, sometimes even years later?
WTF?! That's impossible.
***** it happens to me extremely often.
The Forgotten Lies BS.
Kevin Escobar Hahahhaha. XD
From time to time i have Dream about something and later weeks, months, years i re-live it. Sometimes i wonder if we in some sort of Matrix. :)
Aren't those called visions
don't know
Horazon yes i agree one time i dreamt bout somin that three yrs i watched tgat movie the movie came out ths year
Today I learnt that 10% of people don't experience déjà vu.
woodfur00 #FeelingSpecial
Deja vu happend to me in 2011
EgiaGT deja-vu happens to me all the time, like 3 times per month at least
woodfur00 and im one of those 10 %
harish bharath same here
I can catch it and prevent myself from doing something I did before
for me, im just going about in my day and all of a sudden: I get a 3-10 second vision. nothing important, just a random scene. then, it's erased from my memory. i don't remember it happening, I don't remember the vision. then, weeks or months later; it happens. I'm like wHOA I REMEMBER GETTING A VISION OF THIS.
and once, i went to the nurses office during school and i was laying down in a little bed with curtains around it, and i swear i heard the same kids come in twice with the exact request.
vava
the same thing happened to me except it was a dream
same thing happend buy it was a year later before it happend. hmm
Deja Vu!
I've just been in this place before!
Higher on the street!
And I know it's my time to go home!
I always do that cause one time i was at lunch and the teacher was yelling at the kid and the day after the same teacher was yelling at the same kid with the same words and i was in the same spot
Fun fact: Deja vu means already seen in French
😵
Alredy know that
DEJA VU! IVE BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE! HIGHER ON THE STREET’S!
Well it technically means “I’ve seen this before”
DE'JA VU I HAVE BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE HIGHER ON THE STREETS & I KNOW ITS MY TIME TO GO!!! 😂
Kris Bel stop..
😂 De'ja vu
DEJA VU! *nobody can stop the deja vu theme song*
CALLING YOU AND THE SEARCH IS A MYSTERY, STANDING ON MY FEET, IT'S SO HARD WHEN I TRY TO BE ME, WOOOOOOOOOOOAH
02:09 Did he just say "Gesundheit"? (bless you in German)
yes that is a very common term Americans use haha. Its like how we say "deja vu" even though it is French or how many English words are actually facets of Greek and Latin words combined
+Eli Duran That surprises me :D I've never heard of german words that are used in english. But you're right, we also use many english words here in Germany.
like what ? if i may ask
ich war auch verwundert, wirklich noch nie nen americaner gehört der das sagte :D
+Brendan Pope For example: Party, Candlelight-Dinner, Location, Action, chill(en), Baby, Camping, cool, Shop, Make-up....
+Clayton Harbeson Says "I'm 10". But has better grammar than 90% of TH-cam comments. Hmmm...
Flynatol Yeah, that kinda saddens me.
Well, Is this better, if so, please respond, thanks.Samuel Hunter
Why is there a part of the brain called the seahorse?
Because it looks like a seahorse! upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5b/Hippocampus_and_seahorse_cropped.JPG
It's Okay To Be Smart AWESOME! I LOVE MY BRAIN EVEN MORE NOW!
+It's Okay To Be Smart That's one ugly seahorse.
+Rubblifity when i get deja vu, i can predict things that are about to happen 2 or 3 seconds before hand...is that normal?
Same reason there is a part called the almond.
That thumbnail instantly reminded me of Keith from the Try Guys..
I think you could be Barry Allan.
Newton Artemis Fido Scamander I thought I was the only one!
Newton Artemis Fido Scamander ALLEN!! xD
Can u imagine being part of the 10 percent that don’t experience deja vu and wondering wtf everyone else is going in about
I think it kinda feels like I've dreamt it before
