    very helpful topic again. .thanks much! by the have you tried using the periha PB as an external pump?

      Thanks Ed, I have not tried a dry setup yet on Periha. Good thing you raised that idea to me. I'll make a video about dry setup.
      Here in my area all my koi pals run submerged pumps even though most of us are using Periha. That's maybe cause we imitate what we see and we are hesitant to try something we're unused to. But anyway, thanks for bringing this matter.

      because if you used the periha as external pump it will last longer compared to submersible. .then according to other experts it is energy efficient and lastly, you could avoid electrocution of the koi and the owner itself if it will encounter electrical problems

    nice topic for a video. would you suggest using a power strip connected to an avr so you get more outlets assuming the overall wattage capacity of all the elecrtronics connected won't exceed the wattage of the avr?

    • @thekoipondexperience1259
      @thekoipondexperience1259  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Heya coolah, that's actually a good idea. A power strip would not hurt at all , just as long as the total load is taken into account.
      I actually use one hehehe

      @@thekoipondexperience1259 the only thing that would bother me if I use an avr and a power strip is that there is only one button to turn off ALL the equipment accidentally by someone not me hehe

      @@coolermaster This sad story I have heard many times. Accidental unplugging. Just need to bring all the members of your household into a sort of mini seminar on the electrical plug of the pond. Educate them slowly and repetitively. That will be your best approach to it.

    what's the name of the unit or products/brand sir idol?

    Hi Sir Oliver! How do you determine the voltage capacity of the avr? Like my airpump is 100 watts and the waterpump is 100 watts, what voltage capacity should the avr be?

    • @thekoipondexperience1259
      @thekoipondexperience1259  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Phines! It's always wise to double what you've calculated that you need. So so far in your case you have a total load of 200 watts. So a 500 watts AVR is good enough for you.
      But if you can find a 700 watts AVR its a better choice so that when you'll add some more load in the future your AVR will still be enough for the additional new load.

      Yes I do, you can find me at FB my handle is Oliver Jon with the black profile. Glad to be of help El.
      When I was beginning as a koi keeper I needlessly spent time and money on stuff and things that were not right. It was only when I met with other keepers who where patient enough to show me their koi keeping ways that things began to go at a better direction. That's why I personally know the difficulty in starting the hobby. It's also the reason why I wanna share what I know that works to you all.
