This mashup is so great. The Nooran sisters vocals are absolutely amazing and it mixes so well with the metal backing. I'd buy a whole album if they ever did a real collab 😊
This song is based on old Punjabi folk song, from Punjab State (Pakistani + Indian state). Various Punjabi singers from both sides over the course of the last century have recorded this song in many different ways and with slight changes in lyrics in their own ways. I think the actual song "jugni" is many centuries old by Punjabi Sufi Poet Bulle shah.
The song "Pattaka Gudi" is not really a devotional song composed by AR rahman. It is a song from a movie called "Highway" . It has some metal structure in the base song itself. Great work by Andre too
Rahman has more than a few songs that have some metal structure in it since Bollywood goes hard. I grew up watching bollywood and and wanna find all these songs again.
Andre and the Nooran sisters need a whole album together🤘🏼I listen to all the mashups he’s done with them occasionally ever since he dropped the first one. The Nooran sisters original music is incredible too. Andre introduced a lot of people to their fierce style of performing their own folk music. It’s amazing!
Love the video, guys. In regards to the uvular vibrato you mentioned, I think it's called "zamzama" which is a key feature in just about every Indian vocal performance.
Ooh interesting! I'm wondering if it's related to the flamenco singing techniques, it would be plausible since there's a link between both cultures and the vibrato sounds kind of similar
@@neddeaflamenco was the music of romani/gypsy which migrated to Europe from the state of Rajasthan and Gujarat in India so there might be some connection
Yeah guys, even if it is not original song (just some kind of test) anyway this is something I would call multi-cultural music. I think that music is made for connecting people not to make differences between them. I love songs like this. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
I just came across this channel. You're just the opposite of me :D I listen to music just to taste the musical harmony. If vocal adds to the harmony good, if not... POP* It's surprising that there is no video of Peter Pringle in your channel.
Ken! Please listen to Nessun Dorma and Gethsemane from Dan Vasc. You will be thrilled and blown away at the same time! Looking forward to your reactions.
Hi Ken! You reacted to LUCY THOMAS Hallelujah before… she has recently released “Evergreen”… and it is STUNNING!! It will blow you away. Love your reactions - hope to see one on Evergreen. Thanks
Next reaction VOB "KILLING IN THE NAME" R.A.T.M cover VOB BAND TRIO HIJAB from 🇮🇩 VOB consert LIVE AT ( FRANCE) TRANS MUSICALES DE RENNES 2021👍 VOB AMAZING fantastic 👍🤟
Yes man but it's still fake... Why bother with such video compilations at all?? What's the sense in that? I'll watch it myself in my private time (I'm not saying that what you post on your channel is not yours - quite the opposite) but let's leave it alone with something that is not suitable for judging. Another thing is with covers of other performers, there we constantly evaluate someone's willingness to play and sing.
Sisters of a Down.
this is great 😂😂😂
A little mean lol, don't you think? I don't think they have a brother with down syndrome, but I know what you mean.
I am that Down...
Very smooth comment 😂😂
Yes, I love it!

their synchronization is on point even impromptu, only sisters could do that..
Indian vocals are on a different frequency

Sufi islamic chant honouring Ali (nephew of prophet mohamed). The style is Punjabi (joint Indian/Pakistan region).
