@debrarobinson57 spare was written by a ghost writer from interviews with Harry. Remember Harry does not read & his mother refused to send him to a school that would have helped him with his literacy issues because she was more concerned with appearances than his ability to read & write fluently.

If Harry considers himself a spare, is he saying that his mother only became pregnant with him to provide a standby in case something happened to William, next in line to Charles for the throne? Wouldn't that look like his mother was part of the problem, not just the other Royals? Did Harry think that his mother loved and valued William more than him? Where did he get this attitude or perception? With his spare mentality, if applied to all families, should every child who isn't first born feel less loved, wanted or equal?
I think the media is more interested in creating a reaction down there being a reaction to the release of the paperback version. IMO, the average reader or purchaser of such books is really only aware of the publication of the paperback version of books is if or because they were unwilling to pay the hardback version. Have any numbers been released on the sales of the paperback version?

I’m American and I had no interest in reading, much less paying for a book by a spoiled, rich, ungrateful man who made the final years miserable for Prince Philip and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
That, to me, was an unforgivable betrayal.
