Life long hunter here, mostly National Forest hillcountry. I have an incredibly hard time finding "buck bedding areas". Only sure fire way I've found is bumping them out of thickets and upper ridge sides right after season, in February. Use cams as much as you can, and cluster them up to increase your odds of catching him moving and adjusting during daylight.
