Hi !! What a video as always !! BIG Thanks you for that and the differents trailers to know what it exist in this form (4 trailers)!! Have a nice day !! Chris.
A European truck driver would need a C+E+E+E+E license to drive these beasts.. 😂👍 One of my dreams is to see Australia. Many greetings from Switzerland! 👋
That's a hell of a lot of weight. Those engines sound perfectly happy. Gives you an idea of just how good those tractors are, they could pull that load, uphill. Easily.
Actually you can very easily I drive one of these it is called courtesy, if I see a car wanting to overtake I back my speed of to 90km or less to let the vehicle overtake then resume my 100km we are speed limited to 100 a lot are limited to 90 so it is easy..
There is no way anyone in a light vehicle can overtake a triple road train without going over the speed limit. If a triple road train travelling at 100kp/h's & a light vehicle wishes to overtake travelling at 110 kph, it will take the light vehicle close to 70 seconds to overtake at 110kp/h.It's a lot safer for me to overtake a triple road train with me travelling at 130kp/hthen resume the cruise control back to 110kp/h. Just ask anyone who lives in Roxby Downs, Andamooka, Coober Pedy & surrounding regions.
That was a really interesting video, Tomas; I was particularly interested to see the Mercedes Benz Actros. I remember during my last Australian self-drive standing outside the Direct Haul refinery in North Arm, Darwin watching the road trains pulling out. There are several depots in the same area, Gilbert's, Shaws and ABC, all make for great photography. Always look forward to your videos. Colin - UK.
Sad thing, Gilbert’s and ABC is gone, they are sold. I love Gilbert’s and ABC, the trucks was always clean. Thank you for your comment, i really do appreciate it. Have a nice day 😊
@TomasVarg Tomas, when visiting Shaws depot in Darwin I was told that William Shaw emigrated to Australia from UK in the '70s with very little apart from a driving licence. He started by driving other companies vans, bought his first Kenworth prime mover in 1981 and expanded from there over many years. In 2018 he still had a great interest in his company after transferring the majority to his long-standing staff but had moved back to the place of his roots, York, UK. There's a picture on Shaw's website of William Shaw with his first cabover Kenworth. Colin
