Looking for your 1 month follow up but I see you had to return these. So Solomons vs Cloudtrax... I just bought these exact same Cloudtrax. I'd guess you don't really recommend since you had to return them. Any similar Solomon you'd recommend? I love how light these Cloudtrax are and am looking for waterproof (live on vancouver island)
I don’t think I can recommend this show. It’s an ok shoe at best but it has problems coming apart where the toe articulates. I would recommend something from Salomon instead.
Thanks for watching! I would say that depends on what area you live in. I would say these could be comfortable for most people in climates under 80 degrees. It’s certainly more breathable than a leather boot and with a good sock could even be used in warmer climates. They are not strictly advertised as a winter boot and ON described their use as multi season.
Ok, so I've yet to understand why people call a waterproof shoe or even boot "warm" All I wear is waterproof shoes and boots for the most part. None of them have ever been "warm" at all. Waterproof is to keep your feet from getting WET. Insulated is to keep you WARM. Ok, now I'm hoping these are worth their big price. I just ordered a pair. I guess I'll find out or I'll take them right back lol.
@@RideEatWander wow! I ended up purchasing and wore them last week for a 5 day trip and the same thing happened to me! I was going to exchange them, but if it’s a common issue I’ll likely return too. Thanks for the reply!
Ah beautiful snow
Ronin forgot his jacket
Love you guys!
He wasn’t cold 😄
Also, very nice video! That snow looks so beautiful 😍.
Thank you very much!
How are they for running if at all its allowable to do so with them?

Hello, do u know about temperature range ?
Can I wear this shoes in winter
-15, -20 C
Hi, I’m going to Svalbard next year. I’m looking for boots where I can wear in the snow, any recommend please? 🙏🙏
Have you done the follow up review?
I have not yet. Sifting through a lot of footage from my trip still but thanks for checking back!
I have the regular cloudtrax. How do you keep the dang tongue from slipping!?
Everything about the waterproof version is more rigid. Probably due to the extra membrane and also the material the tongue stayed in place for me.
I m going to Iceland do u think this shoes ok for -5 winter ?

@@RideEatWander thank you so much. Your advice really helps.
No problem! Happy to help
So are they a winter boot or all season

I live in Florida and it gets very hot. Would you recommend getting the non waterproof?
Definitely. What you loose in waterproofing you will gain in a faster drying shoe.

Hey Def - are they warm?? I pushed the button and now you got me worried that they wont be insulated.
@@tomgth I just explained. I returned them. I didn't like them.
Great review! How did you go with breaking them in?
Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately the toe box started to unlaminate at the waterproof seam so I had to return them.

I bought the regular shoe. Leaked on second outing. Can't ever trust them again. Back to Salomon for me.
Same for me as well.
Nice video. So if I buy that shoes so I get the snow delivered with it?
