I knew Killa's character design was a homage to Sammo Hung in SPL, not necessary because of being a big guy, but, his suit color they chose in direct homage. Also make sense since Chad worked with Sammo. Nice!

Not only the interviewer knows this world (and it’s not always the case, especially with the action genre, where the best gems you can find are not always mainstream), but both he and Stahelski go deep on the huge martial artists talents involved in the movie, the influences, the storytelling. That’s how you get people interested in this genre. I hope the John Wick franchise makes new fans like classic Hong Kong films or the new wave of Asian action (The Raid, The protector, etc..) made me and other people fans. Because there is nothing like JW right now in Hollywood and finally people are seeing the discrepancy between proper, masterfully crafted action and the dull, watered down action of 90% the blockbusters around.
Watched this for the 2nd time today and was even more blown away. Such an awesome action flick. As a martial artist and huge fan of martial arts movies...this is the best of the current ones. A true spectacle.
I would love to see this guy direct a Daredevil Born Again Episode with Bullseye or a future Daredevil movie where Bullseye is there main villain. Imagine how insane the action scenes would be as Bullseye is a psycho John Wick

I had been waiting for AGES for Chad to cast Scott in the JW films. It warms me to know he had been trying to get him in part 2 and 3 but couldnt due to scheduling. Now they need to get Tony Jaa, Joe Taslim (The Raid), Julie Estelle (Hammer Girl from The Raid 2), recast Scott Adkins for a different role (he looked different enough in the fat suit that no one will recognise him again), Jean Claude Van Damme. Jet Li and Jackie Chan would be great too but their fighting styles are way different to John Wicks. I think Joe Taslim will be a great antagonist for JW since he is a black belt in judo in real life.

It baffles me how Dwayne Johnson is regarding as a "big action movie star" with all his resources. After all these years, he's still a one-dimensional on screen, and Scott can do multiple roles and actually make a movie entertaining, yet morons clamor to the Rock smfh.
I totally agree with you !!! Dwayne is tall and "big", but it has nothing to do with his ability to move, he doesn't do any type of martial art, he uses a stuntman most of the time and there's just too much CGI in every of his project. Others spend their time training, like Scott, and legends like Donnie yen, Jackie, Jet etc., and they deserve more.
