Michael, who you see in the blue shirt tap dancing, held the world record, he did 34 taps with his feet in 1 second, his feet were insured for 56 million pounds
They might enjoy Gregorain chanting. It is beautiful. Here are some samples, just for convenience. th-cam.com/video/CBwh1OXw6uI/w-d-xo.html. Here is another: th-cam.com/video/xSct3kcVMck/w-d-xo.html. They are all very "quiet" but the beauty of the areas shown are wonderful. Also, have they ever seen bagpiping? I don't recall seeing any here.
Wish you’d have looked it up and explained it to them. Should have told/shown them where Ireland is and that this is for Eurovision 1994, and do they not have the word river in their language? And should have told them Riverdance is the name of the legendary Irish dancing dance group, it’s not a River Dance, a dance having to do with the river… because that gave them the wrong idea… And no, you don’t have to be a gymnast, there’s no gymnastics in it, and it is partly tap dancing, yes, and of course “everyone in the group has the same dance style”, they are Irish dancers and have a synchronised coordinated choreography, it was made that way and it’s how it is (: the main pair choreographed it too. And they’re not there just for them but for the whole Eurovision show. And not a studio…
It would be funny if you only get permission to date an Irish girl if you perform this dance with less than 5% error margin in front of the parents. Also if you dance like this in public, you don't have to obey any traffic laws and when entering a pub like this you get a free pint of Guiness. xD
Traditional Irish dancing in adopted for 20th Century. No gymnastics just energy. American tap dancing is a very poor copy of Irish Tap dancing. Michael Flately the male dancer was world Irish dance champion Alas in 2023 he is fighting cancer. Full show lasts about 2 hours and can have up to 100 or more dancers on stage at any one time They dance to the beat of the music and can never be tripped up no matter how fast the music is played They are owned by the sound and dance to its tune as if in a trance. Down side is there are few professional Irish dancers over 50 years for obvious reasons. There was an American football player who attributed his strength to a season of learning Irish dancing. It gave him mussels in his legs and his lungs. He celebrates touch down with an Irish dance. The show has toured the world many times Presidents request tickets to see it. It's simple Irish dancing children learn. The boys who stick with it get their reward at puberty. For every 10 girls thar dance at 15 years there is only about 2 boys still dancing. arn
A truly amazing group of performers that we in the U.K. are truly proud of. Please, producer, get a world globe so you can point out to them the different cultures presented to them, it would help their understanding so much.

Always so heart warming to see people so far away see something I'm so proud of from my home town. Blessings from Dublin Ireland. Erin Go Bra.

Riverdance is one of my favorites to watch and it is good to see an original version again. I could tell they were entertained by the video. Cheers!
Dance can bring people together. If only politicians would learn from this. 🇮🇪🇮🇪
The Riverdance is still popular and has spread to many nations, including the USA where it popular and fun to watch.
Greatest show ever performed. Michael Flatley was a genius.

Women (from the dawn of creation) have always, and will always be better dancers than men.
Go to Irish dance competitions and you'll probably adjust that opinion... Male Irish dancers are no better than females...
This is antisemitic. . .

but its origin is irish isn't it, not uk ?
Ireland isn’t in the uk, mate (:
Are you on the windup? This performance has nothing to with the UK.
This is Irish culture, that we Irish are proud of, please desist from trying to appropriate our culture and identity when it suits you English.
This is ireland not UK.🙄
