I own this vacuum. I just found a slightly used brush beater bar on eBay and changed mine because it was worn out. That was not an easy job, but glad it's working well again. This is such a good vacuum cleaner.
It must use its high performance Panasonic motor to create quite a large pressure differential in the separators. You can hear at how much more of a load the motor is running compared to standard models. I'm sure it moves as much air as most bagged clean air uprights still though. If only more companies made units like this.
