This is the issue with these kinds of truces: You can convince the opposing tank player to do something, but if other players not in the truce know they're going to fight a specific character, they'll just pick characters to counter them.
Enemy tank has no control over it. Same shit it a doomfist war one side always has a shithead who goes sombra but I gaurentee the doom doesn't want that shit.
I had someone ask me for a rein mirror a couple of weeks ago and after I had agreed, they walk out of spawn as Ramatra, Mei, Zen, and i have never been so disappointed in the state of the community as I was in that moment.
I actually uninstalled last night. Idk how long Ill leave but this game just sucks so much right now I cant take it anymore. Time for a much needed break.

The fact that in this game a tank has to run in fear because of a support is so baffling 💀 I miss playing Rein and having fun, now I'm just a big DPS that can be deleted faster than a Hanzo lmao
It's insane how much value you can get by just shooting the tank, the enemy DPSs and the Zen hard focused Flats and he couldn't do anything, either increase Tank's hp or nerf damage overall so that people who only shoot tanks get punished for it.
They should get punished for it anyway. If everyone is focused on the tank it leaves your DPS free to do as they please, which should mean they can kill the enemy supports pretty much for free. The trap is that your team gets sucked in to the tank duel and then whoever has the best anti tank DPS wins. Or you could just pick Orissa so they get no value from shooting you.
I swear rein is one of the few tanks it's actually good to shoot at at times, especially as bastion. Though I would still argue that you get more value from shooting literally anything else.
Earlier this week I had someone say Doom mirror then their comp was Brig/Mercy/Echo/Sombra. I just consider it that if you go a full counter comp the mirror is off and I can play whoever the hell I want

Alright, I need everyone to upvote this so it makes it to the devs. Stuns should not be able to be chained together on tanks and there should be a delay between all stuns, much like sombra cant chain hack now. Makes no sense that you can be slept, hacked and hindered one after the other for simply existing. This causes skill based interactions where you need to correctly identify when to use a stun and not just press all of your buttons because someone else pressed theirs.
I asked for a doom duel with someone once and his entire team went counter against me it went to a point to where I had to switch he was sad but I mean he blamed his team and throw their game bc he couldn’t get the duel just bc of his team
being sad about not getting a duel is alright. Throwing the game is not. It's still a valid decision to not agree to the duel as his teammates and just go for the win, so throwing their game you are ruining everyones fun, just because you didnt get to be selfish. I wish more people would respect duels like that, but throwing just because they didnt is not ok.
At 10:18 does anyone know what was going on in the match for why he wouldn't try to secure another kill in that fight? Not criticism just trying to understand context for my own tank improvement lol. Cause for me 9 out of 10 times I'm pushing to try and secure another kill especially if I see my support come heal me and the tracer is pretty close to help pinch them.

I've kept my chat off for the entirety of my return to Overwatch, and looking at the comments here I had no idea people ask for mirror matches in chat lol
I refuse mirrors for this reason, don't care the champ Rein, Sigma, Widow, anything, the only way you can actually prove you're the better player on a character is having literally the exact same outside influence, which is genuinely impossible, even if the entire team mirror matches, it'd show which team is better not which individual player is better. The only circumstances where you can try and show who is better is either a. both teams having identical bot teams, or b. 1v1 ing, which at least as tanks doesn't quite show an accurate match up, bc you don't have the outside pressures of heals and dmgs.
There is no respect in this game anymore. Every time I challenge someone to a Rein 1v1 they either don't pick him or swap off, even Rein mains such as Bowie.

Zenyatta literally makes the enemies skin turn into paper, bastion kills reins shield (his only mitigation tool) in less than 5 seconds and mei disrupts the LOS needed to heal. Playing rein into this comp is literal torture so the complaints are warranted
