Those singers would take Kurdish songs and Turn them into Turkish in order to be able to sing in Turkey! In 1992 Torgut Ozel came and removed some restrictions on Kurdish language!
But unfortunately damage has already been done and 80% of kurds in Turkey don’t speak their mother tongue
And that is the result of the cultural genocide campaign in Turkey on Kurds…
We have people like Chopy who is trying to reverse this cultural genocide and bring the Kurdish youth back to the arms of their mother tongue and their beautiful rich Kurdish music

I wish there would be English translation of the lyrics so more people would understand Kurdish culture. Love the song 🎶
The lyrics and texts are often taken from folklore, so you never know who wrote them originally.
In general, the topics are love, missing, and the father not accepting the guy she chose, breaking promises.... etc..
In folklore, there are certain erotic lyric themes that I consider to be the oldest lyrics (before the Islamic period or occupation).
I concur with your opinion that translation of the themes into English is advisable since they are not too complicated or we can easily translate them. .

1_الكورمانجية الشمالية وبيتكلم بيها اغلبية شعب الكوردي تقريبا حوالي ٦٠%
(كامل كورستان سوريا وتركيا ماعدا مناطق زازاكي وكورد دهوك والموصل وشمال هولير و اورمية وخراسان)
2_الكورمانجية الوسطى وهي ثاني اكثر لهجات الكوردية انتشارا حوالي ٢٠%
( هولير ماعدا شمال وسليمانية وكركوك وبعض مناطق سنه وكرمانشاه واقضية التابعة لمحافظة ازربيجان الغربية)
3_الكورمانجية الجنوبية وهي ثالث لهجات الكوردية انتشارا حوالي ١٥% و وتنتشر في (لورستان وايلام وبختياري وخانقين ومندلي)
4_اللهجة الكورانية حوالي ٥%من الكورد وهم في مناطق متفرقة
