Hmmm a bit too lopsided, German soldiers running into fire or can't shoot straight, but the good guys have perfect accuracy...and some of those haircuts need to be shorter.
What I like most of all at these American series from 60s (this and “Combat”) are good looking German soldiers. Their masculine shape, long legs, handsome faces and their good fitting well tailored uniforms are marvellous. That’s the difference from Soviet and Russian films which depict Germans most as ugly, unmanly idiots with some exceptions only. Thank you for sharing this rare to find series.
Many thanks, and I agree 100%. It's the type of series many of us were brought up on and it's a pity we don't see it on our screens anymore. It's a fantasy world into which we can escape for 50 minutes or so and visually it's very pleasing (the soldiers and their uniforms), as well as exciting, with lots of shooting, knifing and explosions. Another disastrous battle from 9:30! Our headquarters is such a quiet and beautiful estate, so that we didn't expect to be attacked here. We fought in a hurry but failed to hit the enemy, until the best one of us appears at 10:16. I really hope he finds the enemy hiding behind the bush, so he might be able to dodge the damn bullet two seconds later. Anyhow he survived and got a chance of revenge at 10:50. He is such a brave and tenacious soldat, I love the look in his eyes and the expression on his face at the moment! It's hard to see a German soldat who continues to fight like him after being seriously injured. Unfortunately, his bullet only hit the enemy's arm, how I wish I could help him there!
Yes, 10:50 is a fine soldier and fights to the end. What a shame he didn't get some justice here, taking at least one of the enemy with him. He will not be forgotten!

Such as the one at 11:03, I don't understand why he stepped over the bench and left the cover, instead of firing behind the bench like his comrade did -- although the bench didn't provide enough cover and they were both shot at the same time...

When the enemy driving to escape at 11:10, we soldiers had to run out of the woods to try to stop or chase them, this exposed comrades to the enemy's guns without any cover...I'm panicked that our lads've been shot one after another! 11:20 was a final chance for us to destroy the bastards when they stopped and got out of the car...But just when 11:28 my comrade ran out of the woods and tried to chase, he was hit! His movements and moans showed how painful it was, I can only run out and try to save him. But as soon as I got his hand, the bastard fired again and the bloody bullets hit in my chest! UUUUGH!!!! Nein! I dropped my rifle and held the wound with hands, struggling to avoid falling...Why are these damn enemy bullets so accurate and deadly?!

I don't know in which Holland this was supposed to be, but it isn't in "my" Holland. Buildings, scenery and the weather aren't Dutch. But the shootings at the beginning made me forget where it was. Too much fun to watch. Nice overview of the results at 2:05. Next time when you don't want to get shot, just shout "don't shoot, Americans" and you will survive. The German officer at 3:35 got the chance to smell the flowers very well. Plus he got a free lift to the backroom. What happened there wasn't in this movie. The other German officer at 8:21 made a wrong connection ending on the phone. Great how the machine gunfire at 10:05 just stopped at the end of the car, leaving the soldier behind it unharmed. Very friendly indeed. Excellent killing at 10:18 followed by a nice view. Another hot killing at 11:30. It's a miracle to had enough time within the 15 minutes to repeat all the killings at the end. Wow, what a action packed clip. Oh, and nice transitions!!

And if you were being shot at, would you hide behind a bush???!!!! It's all good fun though, and not to be taken too seriously - I love it! Sadly I didn't manage to get ALL the killings in the slow-mo section, but I think I got the best of them - with about 5 seconds to spare!!! Glad you liked it :-)

The Germans had over 100 different uniforms. Hard to believe. But then, they had the best of everything.
