Thank you. Several of the next few swords (to get videos for) have already been made, with video already shot and only require editing. So I'll be limited to whatever footage I've already taken of them.
We always see the work of creating the casting, but can you show how you design and make the designs of the bronze castings? And thank you for being accurate to the book design of Longclaw. Beautiful job!
Thanks. Sometimes the design work is sketching out drawings, sometimes it's "sketching" it out in clay or wax, and sometimes I design pieces in a 3d computer program. Varies depending on the piece, but takes many hours and would be pretty boring to watch.
Wow! Awesome Work! I never liked the pommel from the series. It just looked strange with the wolf's head sideways. Yours makes much more sense. Also beatiful fullers and nice details. I wonder what your approach to "Hertsbane" would be. One of my all time favourite film swords. Maybe consider it for one of your next projects. Wound make sense, because it already has bronze parts in the series. But I warn you, it is huge! You may need bigger equipment.
Thanks. Heartsbane would be an interesting build. I've done similar sized swords to that before, but those bigger swords are less fun to make. Also, most all of my swords are commissioned pieces, so I wouldn't be likely to decide to make one of those myself.
@@brotherbanzai Oh man, I would order one from you if I had the money. But unluckily I have a house, a wife, two kids, a dog and a little addiction to Legos who eat up all my cash. So I fear that I have to stick to just watching your videos,... while drooling.
Beautiful work as always Jeffrey! The sword came out amazing! One thing about the video editing.. please lose those blurs and long fade to black transitions. They're extremely annoying and detract from exposition.
My one problem. It's not good accurate.😢 Long claw, in the books Is given 3 major descriptors. One, it's a bastard sword. Two, it has three fullers. And three, where most sword smiths opt out of, is that the pommel is described as being of pale stone carved in the shape of a snarling wolf, weighted with lead, and with chips of garnet for the eyes. Nobody does the pommel right.
You are a master of your craft, sir. This sword is truly a peace of art.
Thanks very much.
Thats one heck of a Valyrian Steel Sword!!! Worthy of a Nobleman ;)
😁
This is probably the best interpretation of Longclaw I have seen!
Thanks, I agree 😄
I hope never stop sharing your knowledge... again 🙌🏻
Beautiful version of longclaw mayhaps my favorite

Gorgeous work. You're a true artist. 🙏
For the next one I would like to see more details from the hilt making process if you don't mind, please.

So glad to see this video!! Where has Brother Bonsai been?
We had some kitten mayhem going on for a few months, no free time to edit vids.
He lives 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
😁
one thing i can say, craftmens of old valyria will be envying you even from their long period of death...😅wish Snow had this one rather than that one
🐺 😄

I find transitions without a fade too choppy and there are limits to what I can do with the free video editing software.
@@brotherbanzai Hi, DaVinci Resolve has a free version. That's what most people use these days here on YT.

True artists are not obliged to hold to the canon of a clown like martin
I remember reading that part of the book and thinking, "what a dumb way to make a pommel, no one who wanted to make a usable sword would do that."
