Yes, and as it should be. In 1992 my daughter began K at the East Bay Waldorf School, then in Emeryville, CA now in El Sobrante, CA. I had just begun teaching myself, but in a local public school and had never heard of the Waldorf schools, not until the year before when my daughter's preschool had closed. A fellow teacher told me of the Waldorf schools and how they started K (the first of 2 years) at the age of 4. I went in for a tour and because I needed a preschool for her for one more year before she would enter K. As it turned out, she loved it, and so did I. I remained a public school teacher, but she continued in the Waldorf Schools for all of her K - 12 education, graduating in 2004 from the East Bay Waldorf School. She is currently working as an Architect in San Francisco, CA
Dear Friends here are the lyrics: "Up the misty mountain, down the valley lowMarch the merry mountain men with ho ho ho.We'll cut the magic crystals, we'll cut the stars a glow. We'll turn them into snowflakes and make it snow, snow, snow." "We are woodsmen sawing treessawing sawing sawing trees. We don't stop for wind or weather. We keep sawing all together. We are woodsmen sawing treessawing sawing sawing trees. The tree falls down with great big crash. Now it's time to take our ax.We chop and chop with all our mightTo get some wood for the fire tonight. Now we carry logs alongSinging gayly this merry song.Tra la la la la la la.Tra la la la la la la." "We are working working hard.Chopping firewood in our yard.Hold the chopper, hold it tight.Lift it high with all your might.Chopping chopping chop chop chop.Merrily the pieces drop. It's the finest game we know. Makes us warm from head to toe.Now into a bundle tie,And put it in the shed to dry.Chopping chopping chop chop chop.Merrily the pieces drop." "Little dwarfs so short and strongHeavy footed march alongEvery head is strait and proudEvery step is firm and loud.Trip trap trip trap go the gnomes along the track.Pick and hammer each must hold.Deep in earth to mine the gold.Ready over each one's back,Hangs a little empty sack.Trip trap trip trap go the gnomes along the track. When their hard days work is doneHome again they march as oneFull sacks make a heavy loadAs they march along the road.Trip trap trip trap go the gnomes along the track." "Blessing on this room of oursBlessing on the garden flowersBlessing on the birds and treesOn the butterflies and beesBlessing on our dolls and toysOn our quietness and noiseBlessing on the children dearAnd the grown ups who come hereBlessings on our work and playBless us each and every day" "Good morning dear earthGood morning dear sunGood morning dear stonesAnd the flowers every oneGood morning dear beastAnd the birds in the treesGood morning to you And good morning to meTwo eyes to seeTwo ears to hearTwo feet to walk and stand up ever so quietlyHere is my handGive yours to meGood morning every oneGood morning every one" "Gentle fairies Kind elfmenCome join us todayAnd dance in our gardenAs we work and we play." Warm wishes on your journey,Miss Kayti (the kindergarten teacher)
Lyrics for the first few songs, best as I can make them out: Up the misty mountain, down the valley low March the merry mountain men, Ho, Ho , Ho. We’ll cut the magic crystal, we’ll cut the stars a-glow We’ll turn them into snowflakes and Make it snow, snow, snow We are woodsmen, sawing trees Sawing, sawing, sawing trees. We don’t stop for winter weather, We keep sawing all together. We are woodsmen, sawing trees Sawing, sawing, sawing trees. The tree falls down with a great big crash. Now it’s time to take our axe. We chop and chop with all our might To cut some wood for the fire tonight We carry all our logs along Singing gaily this merry a-song. Tra-la-la-la la-la-la Put your logs on the tree stump - get your axes ready We are working, working hard. Chopping firewood in our yard Hold the chopper, hold it tight, Lift it high with all your might. Chopping, chopping, chop, chop, chop. Merrily the pieces drop It’s the finest game you know Makes us warm from head to toe Now a bundle we will tie We’ll put it in the shed to dry Chopping, chopping chop, chop, chop. Merrily the pieces drop Don't forget to plant a new tree to take the place of the old that we chopped...
Blessing on this room of ours Blessing on the garden flowers Blesing on the birds And trees, and the butterflies And the bees Blessing on our dolls and toys And quietness and noise Blessing on the children here And the grownups who come here Blessing on our work And play
They are lovely! Could I possibly get the words for all the songs? I'd love to try this with my kids in Waldorf School in Korea. It would be very appreciated!!!!

Lyrics for the first few songs, best as I can make them out:
Up the misty mountain, down the valley low
March the merry mountain men, Ho, Ho , Ho.
We’ll cut the magic crystal, we’ll cut the stars a-glow
We’ll turn them into snowflakes and
Make it snow, snow, snow
We are woodsmen, sawing trees
Sawing, sawing, sawing trees.
We don’t stop for winter weather,
We keep sawing all together.
We are woodsmen, sawing trees
Sawing, sawing, sawing trees.
The tree falls down with a great big crash.
Now it’s time to take our axe.
We chop and chop with all our might
To cut some wood for the fire tonight
We carry all our logs along
Singing gaily this merry a-song.
Tra-la-la-la la-la-la
Put your logs on the tree stump - get your axes ready
We are working, working hard.
Chopping firewood in our yard
Hold the chopper, hold it tight,
Lift it high with all your might.
Chopping, chopping, chop, chop, chop.
Merrily the pieces drop
It’s the finest game you know
Makes us warm from head to toe
Now a bundle we will tie
We’ll put it in the shed to dry
Chopping, chopping
chop, chop, chop.
Merrily the pieces drop
Don't forget to plant a new tree to take the place of the old that we chopped...
Blessing on this room of ours
Blessing on the garden flowers
Blesing on the birds
And trees, and the butterflies
And the bees
Blessing on our dolls and toys
And quietness and noise
Blessing on the children here
And the grownups who come here
Blessing on our work
And play
