Corned Beef Hash is ACTUALLY what Mamaw is making- corned beef with onions and diced potatoes! I add diced green peppers to mine too. Love Mamaw’s Scripture readings! ❤️💞🙏🙏😇
Y'all are so sweet and I love the way she prays at the end of every video. The home cooking she is taught me has always been wonderful and thank you so much Corey for sharing your blessed maw maw ❤
You remind me so much of my departed mother. She was from eastern Kentucky. I was brought up on pinto beans and corn bread. Love old country food. God bless you and your family. God is good!
Same here she reminds me of my momma too and my mom has been gone for a little over 20 years and I’m from south central Kentucky . And you’re right about that there’s nothing better than good old homemade country cooking !
Didn't know that there is corned beef in a can. Love ya'lls videos. Just ordered your cookbook, can hardly wait to receive it. Take care and God Bless❤😊🙏🏻✌️
Mawmaw reminds me of my great grandmother. She cooked southern dishes but as far as I know her and my great grampa always lived here in Minnesota. My dad was the oldest of his siblings and lived with them on the farm till he was 13. They both passed in 1976 when I was 5 but I wish I would have been older B4 they passed so I could have spent more time with her so bless you mawmaw for making these videos. Much love and blessings from Minnesota
Your potatoes and corned beef look good. I switched a long time ago to fresh corned beef because the canned is so salty and high in sodium. Sending prayers for Pawpaw when he goes to visit the man in the hospital. I pray that man will repent and gets saved. That's the most important thing. God bless y'all always 🙏✝️✝️🙏
🌻I never thought of partially boiling the potatoes first. I agree with mamaw regarding that key.🤓 My mother and father were born in Texas, Laredo and San Angelo, and this was one meal we always had with Mexican rice and pinto beans with jalapenos instead of onions.
The corned beef brand you used is the best. I get it at Aldi's for about $3 per can here in Pennsylvania. And I always keep a spare key on hand in case I buy a can without one by accident. The only difference from your recipe to mine is that I don't use bacon grease in mine. I boil my potatoes completely, then add the can to the skillet like you and heat through. Very filling and not an expensive meal. I love it. Thanks for all your wonderful videos. God Bless you all.
$3! That's amazing! We don't have Aldi's around here and canned corned beef is about $6! I just looked at some a few days ago, but didn't pay attention to the brand.😮
You're like me, bacon grease makes everything better!❤ i even put it in my home canned green beans and in cooked cabbage, gravy, just about everything. Corned beef hash Corey, yummy. Perfect country meal. A+❤
here in south louisiana we had something similar but it was made with a roux that made a gravy, and it's served over hot white rice. Same ingredients just started with a roux!
Ooo Mamaw!! You just took me back when that was our Saturday night supper! It looks so good!! Thank you for praying for everyone and reading the Bible! Y’all make me feel so good inside! Love y’all!❤from Oklahoma 😊
I love corn beef sandwiches with Blue Plate Mayonnaise. But yes I’ve made corn beef hash before. Like it homemade better than from the can. I don’t like onions cooked in my fried pinto beans but I love raw onions with my beans and cornbread. I put a lid over my potatoes to get them tender then up the heat to brown the taters some.
My Granny always called that corned beef hash. We loved it, and I still fix it once in a while. We put plenty of pepper, a little salt on the taters, some garlic powder and onion powder, along with chopped onions. Good stuff! Throw a fried egg or two on top and it's even better!
Mama, that looks so good and I hadn't know that my Grandma was alive. Lord, I pray that you will touch my mom and help her and get her back to her good self. Yeah, cause she needs to keep cooking. Her fit is like what I grew up on and the longest character. Lay hands-on her and touch her everybody and pray to God that she could tell this. And mama, I love you and Amy and Lord Jesus and you trying to get well and get some rest. Okay, mama, you feel better. Hi, Cory. Tell your wife I said hi and I can't think I can not wait to see her down there with you and I can't wait. Love you guys.❤❤❤
No, they're different. Corned beef hash is corned beef and potatoes. I sometimes slice and fry it and have with fried eggs. I make them over easy so the yolk runs over the hash😋
Your supper looks delicious! I like corned beef but I hate those cans with the key, I can't ever get those dang things open. Thank you for sharing this with us and thank you for your prayers. God bless you Mamaw and Corey and God bless everyone watching too!❤
Mamaw i pray you feel better soon, praying for everyone, Corey i love your sense of humor 😂. Everything looks so delicious. God bless y'all. Love y'all! 🙏❤️🫰
I’ve never eaten corned beef from a can, where I live the supermarkets sell corned beef roasts/cuts of meat, this is intriguing🤔 Mamaw made a rib sticking comfort food meal, looks amazing😋
Corey ME TOO on the Codeine Allergy!!! Violently sick to my stomach so there’s almost no cough medicine I can take and you have to be careful with some pain medications too they have codeine - like Tylenol 3 the doctor prescribes.
That meal looks so good! My mom’s family are hillbillies. They’re all gone now. My mom married a New York man. That makes me half hillbilly ❤. I miss all of them. When I hear Mamaw talk she sounds exactly like them. She reminds me of my aunt. Brings tears to my eyes. Love all your videos. ❤❤❤
Thank you Mama for showing us such good food and I know that's what I'm going to cook tonight but I also want to thank you so much for praying for these people that are in need I'm in need all the time it's like one thing changes and it takes away from that change but the Lord has always provided God is good
You can get dried corn beef that you use for corn beef gravy or anything else it looks yummy to me I was raised on this kinda food and we had beans at every dinner meal
Wish I had known that growing up. I always broke the key off the metal. What I mean is is I messed it up and you couldn't open it LOL that's when I would have to get big sis
Looks delicious Mamaw! I haven't made that dish in quite some time. I will have to make it soon. Hope you feel better soon. Please take it slow. I've been praying for your healing as well as alll here who are in need. Sending love and blessings from Connecticut. 🙏 ❤
My ma would keep a tall wooden stool in her kitchen so she could cook & prepare meals for us. Similar to a bar stool. Thank you Mamaw for reading & living the Lord's Word, you too Corey. Living testimonies. Keep on cooking, Mamaw.
Hi Corey & Ms.M.!!! This evenings meal looks mighty delicious to me. I would eat this meal!!! YUMS!!! I never had potatoes like that. Thanks you for the prayers. Praying that Ms.M. gets better real soon. Take care and GOD Bless...Great Video!!!...🦋
Oh my that looks good. When I have corned beef leftovers I run them through the meat grinder and make sandwich spread, the taters in there and raw cabbage and onions. Add a bit of mayo and spicy mustard salt and pepper and they eat it up like crazy with saltines.
I just love you and your family ❤ I like my fried potatoes crunchy too. This looks really yummy. Whenever I would have leftover pork or roast beef, I would fry it up with potatoes. I have to try this. I love everything you cook. I wish I had a family.
Watching mamaw chopping that corned beef in her potatoes made me nervous lol. She was smashing them potatoes and my mom yelled at me for doing that when I first started cooking. She yelled and said use a spatula and quit smashing them potatoes lol
This is definitely not how I make mine but it's close. I actually have just got the corned beef hash and just fried it up a little use it to make a Reuben sandwich.... regular is good just like it is and not as many potatoes and brown it up yum
Corey…does Mawmaw put up chow chow? My grandmother (Nannie) made one that had green tomatoes and cabbage and other stuff. It didn’t have sugar, though. I can’t find a recipe without sugar. If she knows it can y’all do a show on it. Your supper tonight would be perfect with some chow chow in the pinto beans. ♥️
Love you all. I'm allergic to penicillin and coconut lol. Almost everything. Cats, dogs. Lol. Your food looks delicious. That kind of country eaten is what I love
@debc7341 you can bake it covered on a lower temp, or a lot of people also put it in a slow cooker. It takes maybe 4-5 hrs. Mainly avoid too much liquid or to me it's like boiled meat😊
I was raised on that yummy meal...my grandma had 5 kids then when i came alon with several m9r cousins we all gtew up on this...all of us lived with grandma..we didn't either...grandma always had the best remedies
That canned corned beef is ridiculously pricey now, but I always keep a couple cans on hand. In the past in was fairly inexpensive, and I'd slice it for sandwiches. Now every so often I like to make a soup with it, French sliced green beans, potatoes, onions, and carrots😊
@TexasBlueBonnet61 I don't really have recipes per se - just ingredients that I make concoctions with 😄 But for say 4 servings I use approximately a 32 oz carton beef or chicken broth; the can of corned beef (meat not hash); maybe 2-3 cubed potatoes, 15 oz can of French cut green beans with or without liquid or half a bag of frozen; a carrot or two coined or chopped, maybe half a small onion diced. These are approximate amounts and easily adjusted for number of servings you'd like. Add water or evaporated milk for more liquid, garlic, pepper or whatever else speaks to you. But, go easy before adding more salt because the corned beef is super salty and the broth has quite a bit, too. I use reduced sodium broth and canned vegetables, but mainly use frozen. Simmer maybe half an hour to 45 minutes. Longer is fine 😊
My son is working just down the road from you working. If he smells that home cooking meal he might show up ti eat. Lol. We are Oklahoma country folks. Everything you are cooking is how we cook.
I love canned cornbread. We eat sandwiches with it. Mix with mayonaise and onion. Also you can add shredded cabbage raw and mix in. Makes a good spread for saltines! This looks so good. God bless you all, and I hope you have a great Sunday!
Corned Beef Hash is ACTUALLY what Mamaw is making- corned beef with onions and diced potatoes! I add diced green peppers to mine too. Love Mamaw’s Scripture readings! ❤️💞🙏🙏😇

Mmmm! Ive been craving potatoes made this way for a long time! We use to make breakfast for dinner. Corned beef hash, fried potatoes & eggs! God bless

So is she going to cook canned corn beef??
It's good😊
@@sharonlewer4088 Yeah that's what she used in her recipe in this video 🥰
Always use fresh corned beef. Canned is so salty plus she also uses bacon grease. It would be hard to control the salt content.
What a sweet grandma God Bless You ❤
That is a wonderful dinner you fixed! Thank you for all you do for us.❤️
Love this dinner!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love yall!!!!
Ya have to sorta let the potatoes cook without stirring and flipping…they’ll become harder and crispier when unattended some…❤
I like softer fried potatoes; that's how my granny cooked them.
God bless!

Yummy. God bless you and yours indeed.
Yes it called corned beef hash and it comes in a can with potatoes and corned beef. Very good for breakfast❤❤
You're like me, bacon grease makes everything better!❤ i even put it in my home canned green beans and in cooked cabbage, gravy, just about everything. Corned beef hash Corey, yummy. Perfect country meal. A+❤

Looks like a Delicious meal to me.. thank you for the prayers .. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
here in south louisiana we had something similar but it was made with a roux that made a gravy, and it's served over hot white rice. Same ingredients just started with a roux!

Thank you for the idea of making cornbeef & potatoes I have only made Macaroni & cheese with it. God Bless ❤ to all.
Mamaw you make everything look so good.I want to make this exact supper. Is corned beef the same as corned beef hash? Thank you for the prayers.❤
No, they're different. Corned beef hash is corned beef and potatoes. I sometimes slice and fry it and have with fried eggs. I make them over easy so the yolk runs over the hash😋

cory would love for you to introduce your mom to us ❤️
We’re gonna have this, this week. 😊
I have some potatoes and onion.. and a can of cornbeef.. so will make this tomorrow..
My Dad would fry potatoes with bacon grease and butter but added as many onions as possible. Ma never could cook potatoes as great as Dad.
I’ve never eaten corned beef from a can, where I live the supermarkets sell corned beef roasts/cuts of meat, this is intriguing🤔 Mamaw made a rib sticking comfort food meal, looks amazing😋

I have never eaten corn beef from a can. I buy corn beef fresh from the meat section and I cook it on the oven.
Amen.
Same here. My neighbor opened a can of corned beef and she said it. Smells just like dog food. Yikes. So she learned a lesson. lol use fresh meat.
Thank you Mama for showing us such good food and I know that's what I'm going to cook tonight but I also want to thank you so much for praying for these people that are in need I'm in need all the time it's like one thing changes and it takes away from that change but the Lord has always provided God is good
My dad loved corned beef hash. I sure miss him ❤❤🙏🙏
What a lovely apron today.
I agree crunchy potatoes with sour cream.
I've never had corned beef out of a can. Up here in the Northeast, it comes like a brisket.
I can't eat the canned version
Great Supper ! Perfect Comfort Food.
You can get dried corn beef that you use for corn beef gravy or anything else it looks yummy to me I was raised on this kinda food and we had beans at every dinner meal
Fresh corned beef in March is available I buy several, for St Paddys Day.🥰
Corned beef is always available in my area. Around St Patrick's Day is when everyone has it on special sales.😊
It's a little bit easier to use the key to open canned corn beef if the paper label is removed first.
Wish I had known that growing up. I always broke the key off the metal. What I mean is is I messed it up and you couldn't open it LOL that's when I would have to get big sis
Corned beef hash smash. 😂
Corey you never and I mean never take medication prescribed for someone else. Rule number one.
Not only dangerous but illegal
Oh my GOSH when that piece of Potato jumped out the very FIRST thing I thought of was that going to drive COREY NUTS!! 😂😂❤️🙏

We grew up on that! Except mom didn't fry the potatoes, she boiled them. Awesome food and great memories 😊
If you like tuna salad, you can take the cornbeef and make corn beef salad and eat on wheat bread and it is so good.❤ from Alabama 😊
I have not had that for years. My mother in law used to make it " in the old days" and we loved it. I hadn't thought about it for ages. 😊❤
We always did ours like a pot of soup ,boil a pot of potatoes with onion then add cornedbeef a pan of cornbread ,so good
My mom use to make this exactly the same way. I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. Crazy, I like everything that’s in this dish.
I just love you and your family ❤ I like my fried potatoes crunchy too. This looks really yummy. Whenever I would have leftover pork or roast beef, I would fry it up with potatoes. I have to try this. I love everything you cook. I wish I had a family.

Corned beef is in the beef section of the meat market. I’ve always cooked mine never bought canned.
The canned tastes totally different, and is finely ground up😊
I’ve always used canned. With the fresh how do you cook it? Like a roast?
@debc7341 you can bake it covered on a lower temp, or a lot of people also put it in a slow cooker. It takes maybe 4-5 hrs. Mainly avoid too much liquid or to me it's like boiled meat😊
