Loved hearing about your routine with maintaining your voice health! I do amateur voice over stuff ever now and then and I have a few tricks myself for maintaining my voice. I agree that Ricola is the best cough drop brand for sure. I also have some Hals for if I just need something quick. I've found that yawning helps with centering your voice, though I don't know how useful it would be for singing. I also started doing a little short "hah!" noise a couple times to give my voice a little extra power. Again, probably not the best for a singer, but I figured I would share my experience. Thanks for sharing your tricks with us!

I drink green tea instead of water but I have the standard 8 cups of fluid a day (sometimes more) to stay hydrated.

They practice their vocal cords for a period of time, so that they're conditioned to make sound for a longer duration or higher frequency
To do this, you need to be able to use your voice, practice and practice, as Chester Bennington sang, (RIP)
Guess you can do as much as you can to mitigate it but it generall catches up to you. I mean listen to Axl Rose these days…
