Nice video! I have a Shannon 43 so it's fun for me to see her big sister. It's such a beautiful boat. I'm curious about your setup for your dingy hoist, could you share some details about that? My set up is much less graceful than yours.

We use a pre-made lifting harness from West Marine which adjusts because the weight balance is different with the engine and without. We often hoist the dingy with the engine on at night for safety and so it doesn't slam against the hull. Hoisting on deck is in 5 stages - engine has been removed. 1. Hoist up over the life lines onto main cabin top. Maintain tension on halyard. 2. Remove one of the aft three lifting points (on us the port side). 3. Lift again and the dingy flips on its side with someone guiding it. Release air. 4. Release halyard and remove lifting harness and position dingy upside down. Manhandle into place. We use yoga mats to protect deck, hatches, dorade boxes and dingy. They are cheap and stowable. 5. Dingy is tied down to D-rings attached with leather to handholds. Bow line is tied down to deck. Forms a web. Holds in heavy weather. cheers.
