The Women Sending Red Bull Hardline 2023

- Red Bull Hardline is known for putting 30 of the world’s best and bravest male riders to the test, as they bid to tame the world’s hardest downhill mountain bike track.
Before the main event was unfortunately cancelled due to extreme weather conditions in the Dyfi Valley, the ninth edition of Red Bull Hardline saw six of the best women mountain bikers push new frontiers on a course deserving of its intimidating reputation.
Initiated by Red Bull athlete Tahnée Seagrave and Jess Blewitt - the first ever female to take to the Red Bull Hardline track in 2022 - the days leading up to the 2023 event saw some of the most talented and fearless female riders including Cami Nogueira, Hannah Bergemann, Vinny Armstrong, Louise Ferguson and of course Tahnée Seagrave & Jess Blewitt take on sections of the notorious course for the first time.

This vibe is exactly like any group ride I've ever been on with girls in mtbing, the hype, the laughs, the tears - it is so lovely to see these athletes in such a relatable way, and hitting this insane course!
This was one of the best stories to come from Hardeline this year, loving how the girls help each other and also how the guys are super welcoming too. Looks like everyone leaves their ego at home and is there for a wicked time, male or female. LOVE THIS!!
Yeah I always love the vibes at hardline. They all know how nasty this course is and how necessary it is for them to all help each other work through it
Ladies full runs at Darkfest and these girls been ticking features off at the wettest Hardline so far. Some real talent pushing what was thought possible, love it 💕
Awesome to see the girls taking on hardliner. Surely Bernard Kerr should be getting a Red Bull lid after winning it 3 times and now mentoring the girls this year . Come on, Redbull, sort it out.
I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to all the Red bull guys. Because of you i got into Bike riding which I totally disliked and coundn´t even do before (I´m 15 yo) because of a disability and now with your motivation I had my first few successfull runs after just a few weeks. THANK YOU. I´ll keep training and I´ll see y´all at Rampage/Hardline. THANK YOU.

Best film to come out of RBH this year by a long, long way. And what a great story🎉 And a quick shout out to BK this year who donated so much time, enthusiasm and, frankly, insider knowledge of line choice to everyone. That run on Sunday was something else. No surprises to see him promoting the youngsters at Pivot Racing with the expected outcome: one lady World Champ, the top chair at CrankWorks Stevie Smith’s 1199 last weekend and BK himself a few of weeks ago.😊
Bernhard cannot get enough praise for being essentially the godfather of Hardline and mentoring/ coaching everyone through these impossible features - like a dad. He's just such a cool dude!

I think it's way harder for women to push their limits due to brain patterns and the male ability to have hemispherical separation and put personal concern out of mind. women can't forget about surviving like men's brains allow them to do. The girls are building their skills just like the boys have do. Now it's mental from here on out. Bravo to the women who digging deep and conquering that fear.

It’s nice to know there are women who are really good at this sport, you don’t see a lot of that nowadays and it’s pretty cool 🔥💯
It is great to see. But I disagree about not seeing the ladies shredding the gnarr and the parks. Where I ride, it’s commonplace, both at the off-piste builder scene and at the big parks like Dyfi. Met a lady at Farmer Johns recently who will have been in her 50’s jumping everything with grace (e.g. the ravine). Where do you ride?

@@letsgo_inc maybe collectively, but not one person and even then it's far away. I get it, these are the top girls, but they are so far behind the guys. I can't imagine the liability for them in this course

@@jankie55 what liability? all of the girls riding here are plenty skilful to complete the entire course, hence them being in the top flight of racing etc; it is just a mental barrier
