"I am God" as a mantra is easily misunderstood and can be a very difficult thing for many to practice or comprehend - It is considered deepest philosophy of truth in some systems of thought: To contextualize: the essence of all things is divine. God is omnipresent - in fact God is the basis for all things and as such all things are God. "I Am God" refers to one's reality existing beyond the apparent level of name and form. It is not a glorification of one's egoic self as God - It is the opposite - "I Am God", when understood and done properly, is the least egotistical statement one can make. To say you are John Smith (for example if that's your name) and to deny that you are God is to ascribe an ego reality to you that is different from God. Metaphorically - God being all things could be characterized as an ocean and the manifestation of each person a wave. The wave appears because of and arises from the ocean - the water may be put in a container, giving it shape, but it remains the same water in essence. In simplified terms God is one, All is one, to call yourself different from that one is ego. To recognize youself as that one is remembering your divinity. The name and form of you (your body and your mind) is not your ultimate reality; the name and form will go away in time - God is your ultimate reality. The mantra "I Am God" aspires to get rid of identification with ego and be that ultimate reality - be one with everything that is - God.

My Dear Children,
There is no longer time for slumber. You have been asleep and dreaming for thousands of lifetimes. If you do not awaken now, this chance may not come again for thousands more.
Come with Me. Separation is no longer the order of the day. I separated Myself from Myself, so that I could love Myself more. The experience is finished. I want all Myselves to return and merge into Me, the one self.
I gave many of you the advantage of an unhappy childhood, including conflict or separation from your mother or father. In doing this I removed from you the temptation to become attached to human parents or a specific family situation. That left you with only one option - that is to attach yourself to Me.
Why do you not avail yourself of this opportunity instead of continually seeking those relationships, which can never satisfy you? Even if your childhood had been idyllic, as you would have liked, it is not even the love of this form that you long for. Your deepest innermost urge is to return to yourself - to love yourself - to become the Being, Awareness, Bliss which is all you will ever be.
Let go of the past. Stop trying to get from each other what you still think you missed in childhood or marriage. You will never find anyone who is enough. Not even Me. Love yourself, know yourself, be yourself. Only you will be enough. Can you not love yourself because I love over and over again? Did I not virtually move heaven and earth to bring you to Me?
I have asked all My devotees to repeat the mantra,
" I AM GOD, I AM NOT DIFFERENT FROM GOD"
Now I ask you to specifically follow that instruction. It will be more helpful than anything you can do. Now remember that I love you, and as I do, Love yourself.

Are the words from this beautiful video a direct one source quotation from a specific work of Sathya Sai Baba? If so, where are they located? thank you
This quote is pretty available online. As to sourcing, when this was researched, multiple well known devotees have asserted/vouched these words to have come from a letter He wrote to the students - don't know if there is a scan of the original letter? Another lady included them in a collection of multiple of His quotes and words in an artistic format - the collection was offered to Him formally in public in Prashanti Nilayam - which He blessed (this footage is available online). They are remarkable words and have a somewhat more personal quality to them than many of the public discourses.
